Fabulously welcoming staff.

The hotel is a 4-star hotel, but in all honesty I think it should be 3. The location is really amazing, can't argue with that, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The rooms were a bit dirty, and the TV in our room was broken. I think for 2 nights it's good enough but not sure I would stay longer sadly.

Small lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are a good size, nice old features, slightly dated but perfectly adequate. The bed was very comfortable. Relaxed vibe at the reception area with free coffee. You can chat to others and get a feeling of what to do in the local area. About a 15min walk to the old town. A nice walk however.

Wonderful hotel, chic and quirky rooms of a good size. Staff are so friendly and helpful, speak excellent English, and make you feel very welcome. Free tea and coffee in the bar, and if you decline housekeeping they give you a free drink each — a lovely touch.

It was nice, but at night it was sometimes very noisy. Also, I find the breakfast overpriced.

Budget hotel with good value for money and good location in the city.

A typical French hotel, slightly quirky and individual. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, lots of restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. Recommended. PS the fridge in the room works well and is silent!

Positions himself on four stars, although only a solid threesome and no more. Modest zavtak. Hat and slippers in the room and did not spend the night. Ascetic furnishings, conditional cleaning of the room.

Lovely little hotel, situated just next to the city in a luxurious area. The reception was very nice and welcoming. When arriving we were given a room that smelled a bit like sweat, but they immediately moved us to another room. We didn't take the breakfast included, as there were plenty of nice places around. Would absolutely recommend this location to anyone visiting Nice!

Very nice, clean hotel with great service. Nice size rooms for an older building, though with some odd layouts due to remodeling. My room was recently remodeled and in very good condition.

Awesome hotel! I was a bit skeptic once I entered the reception though since it looked a bit "plastic" in my opinion. But hey, were in Nice! (No offense). I didn't expect much but my hotel room was awesome! Can recommend!

Very friendly staff (one might say, sometimes too friendly! :') ) Free ice cream from 14:00 to 19:00 and if you do not need a maid for one night you get a glass of free champagne the next. We booked the junior suite room, which overall was clean and nicely furnished with a nice balcony giving an okay view over Nice, and also had air conditioning. The only "downside" is that some things in the room seemed to not work properly. (That didn't bother me in any way, but it shows the room was not in "perfect" condition. ) Also has free and fast Wi-Fi. (About 26mbps up and download) One flyer said there was mobile Wi-Fi available for in the hotel *and* the city, but after asking at the reception they said Wi-Fi was just for the hotel. For those wondering what wasn't working: The lights in the hallway where our room was located. There was some small leakage of greasy substance that seemed to come from the big metal door hinge at the room entrance. The bathtub has a twist knob to block the drain that didn't work, and the shower door does not close at the bottom without pulling the entire door inside. Mentioning any defects to staff however will get it quickly fixed, and as I said it didn't bother me. One hint for visitors is that if you do not wish for the cleaners to touch your clothes, you should ask for that explicitly. We let them enter our room and found out that the clothes my friend had lying on the ground were neatly folded on the couch bed that she was using.

Lovely location, next to some great restaurants (which the staff are more than happy to help you make a reservation if required) Staff are amazing, they'll take care of any request you may have and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. Would definitely come back here again and stay at the same hotel.

The soundproofing of the rooms is a disaster, you can easily follow the conversations of your room neighbors. Plan the earplugs!

The hotel is in a good place equal to the historic sites, good rooms like for Nice.

Great location The hotel Le Grimaldi is in the middle of city, minutes by foot from almost anywhere. We walked through out the city to the sea front, enjoying the parks and plazas greatly appreciated. Then there was Promenade des Anglaise. Beautifulllllllll. The hotel is charming, old but kept nice and clean. The staff were helpful, even if you have issue your own the staff member will try to help you professionally. The hotel I call home because that's how we felt when we come in from outside. They give you greeting and smile. If you don't speak french they will help you get what you want. They are that much, they all speak english well. The breakfast is good all local food and fresh fruit and juice. There is plenty for for everyone. The aroma of the room when you come in so nice and warm. I had to ask the staff what they are using, the told me it's jasmine!. No wonder it felt so pure. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Great staff, romantic decor in room and bright bathroom with sizeable tub for relaxing. 24/7 tea and coffee in the lobby is great. However, I expect a little more from a place that can charge €110/night Cons — the shower head kept moving and spraying water outside the tub. Broken bin lid in bathroom. Poor sound isolation from neighbouring rooms.

Also the double bed was actually two singles put together (potentially a twin turned double), not comfy at all. Would visit again if the above issues are properly addressed. Pros: cheap. Very central to train, shopping and promenade. Cons: breakfast is strictly continental (bread with ham&cheese). AC is old and not working. Not recommended if you have small kids like we had with us in the summer. It gets hot.

I really want give this sit as 5 star if it not happen as tonight misleading. Once my son in the shower I hearing crazy noise from ppl nocked door, first of all I am thinking will be my neighbor then find it is happened to me. Hearing lot of terrible things in Europe, I am so scared, but answered who is it? Out of door was an old woman blablabla in French, I said no French then the lady said I can not sleep! What the f, u can not sleep and u crazy nocked my door. No I am not open, same time I call front desks asking help, the clerk very well she come to 3 floor then call me said no body, it is quiet as well. Then I take shower. Just as I am finishing the shower the ring again, it is 11:15 pm, it is a man, who said he is front desk and ask me comedown. He was speaking as commander and said : u should come to explain what's happening! Oh! The thing goes tricky and treat! I should do something except like let crazy ppl drive u crazy. Me and my son go down and talk to clerk, he did not let finish word and said : u should made noise lower? What, am I hearing wrong! I am take shower my son write his journey we even not turn on tv, it is made me very upset.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good value with free Wi-Fi and a computer for Internet, and free ice cream and hot drinks too. Good continental breakfast selection. Rooms spacious, but even though there were 5 lights, a bit gloomy as they are all low down and​ not adjustable.

The friendly service, especially Svietlana, very helpful person. Close to downtown but in a very comfortable street. The breakfast is delicious and the service of very good restaurants. I recommend for a good weekend.

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife, hotel located just minutes from downtown, we had a great time, nice and helpful staff especially Joseph who greeted us with such professionalism and kindness always with a smile on his lips ONLY. Breakfast excellent, will definitely be back again.

Staff was lovely and great minus the breakfast lady's attitude. The hotel is due for a refurb don't think its been done since they opened. Carpets were dirty and stained; the room needed a deep clean. I couldn't even walk bare feet on the carpet I would give this hotel a 2 star until a refurb is completed.

I am from Lebanon, and stayed 5 nights at Le Grimaldy Hotel. I liked the place a lot, The environment was friendly and warm, the service was also so good. You can feel that you r at home. Even the manager and the employees are friendly, Helene, Alain, Sara, Chloe, Yuri, Carole… I have also recommended this hotel to the rest of the family who was there to attend a Wedding at Nice.

We were in Nice for a weekend and just wanted a relaxing weekend.
This hotel is not recommended for us.
There's very old and not clean at the same time, attention was — what we 4 star normally expect. At the same time, the staff is not particularly friendly. We will in any case not re-visit this hotel and inquires before we will visit a hotel in Nice that so "wrong is touted" rather more precisely.
Only plus point is the location, close to the Centre but price performance is not allowed.

Lovely hotel, Alain and his team are superb, great customer service and they are all super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying here. Location is great, right near old town.

Very good restaurant. Excellent meat, recommend to try "Rossini".
