Hotels with affordable enough prices to experience the one-night experience at MSM.
My experience, referred only to night and breakfast, was positive.
I slept in the building near the church of Joan of Arc. The room is small, recently renovated with pleasant and unpretentious finishes. Clean.
Breakfast was positive with brioches, cake, yogurt cereal and other salty things. Again, positive and unpretentious; only flaw I found as many as 5 dirty glasses before one cleaned.

Almost all restaurants in Mont St Michel have the same exact menu for some reason, so you won't have much choice even if you go to a different place. The standard menu is pretty good, the food isn't something you will remember after your visit but not bad at all.

Been all over the world. Worst food ever. Left after 10 min. Thank god we did not have to pay after I brought up the fact that the roast chicken was served cold, was as hard and dense as wood and there was nothing roast about it. Avoid this trap! Also the cokes they served were warm. We had to ask for ice cubes. French gastronomy at its worst. Btw. The chicken had a lovely green hue the moe you got to the center.

A small hotel, clean, good breakfast.

Very rustic, medieval feel. Clean, full of character. Easy to find and in the middle of the main street.

The food was quite good for a slightly more turisty spot. The location was wonderful for people watching as you take your time with lunch.

Quantity and quality not at all in tune with the price… Below is a marinière to 18 euros. Rotten salad leaves finally good a restaurant to tourist what.

The place is cozy, the service is efficient and smiling. The kitchen is very good. The price/quality ratio is good. Their children's menu is hearty and of good quality. I recommend.

Heure de pointe. Difficultes pour le personnel de gérer le nombre de clients. Repas d'un des convives arrivé 20min après ceux des autres. Ingrédients manquants mais mauvaise coordination avec la cuisine Un seul serveur sortait du lot et s'est montré très professionnel. Les deux autres serveuses étaient dépassées.

Go your way. Don't push that door with your stomach hunger. Quality/quantity/price ratio uninteresting. Staff innatentif to its clientele, unkind and not accommodating to requests. Lots of waiting even out of rush period.

A very decent meal starter/dish/dessert for menu around the twenty euro!
Fast and courteous Service.

The smoked salmon patty was very good and the crepe caramel salty butter too. The service was fast and responsive. On the other hand, the prices of drinks are excessive.

Do not look for homemade here, after a long wait, the dishes arrive randomly, possibly cold.
The dessert comes with garlic, and the sweet pancake with salad…
One more chef in the kitchen?

Dismal. Whether it's expensive OK I can understand… but expensive and inedible?! No thanks, go your way!

This is a very charming hotel. The staff was very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. We were so glad to stay the night. We felt like we had the whole area to ourselves. The restaurant was wonderful. Very charming and the food was excellent. Try the lamb. It is the best I have ever had.

The lamb combo was great and must try. Also the mussel pot is much bigger than we expected. Honest, we didn’t expect much when we walk in here and was amazed by its quality.

Good food but slightly overpriced. But given the location, it is understandable.

~ The slow sheep ~ atypical place but unfortunately the services and the meal are not at the rendezvous.
List of things to improve: — lack of staff so the organization that slows down the service.
— for dessert rates, frozen desserts are stained.
— tariffs are not suitable for the products proposed.

Very disappointed with the room.
Even though I have benefited from a discount, the room is of a standing (excuse me from my expression) worthy of a pass hotel…
Everything is dated, spider web all over the walls, 9m2 room with ultra compact sanitary. 2 electrical outlets available, one under the TV and the other in the washrooms — convenient to recharge mobile phones. The bed is patched at the feet of the box spring. No storage. I hope the carpet has no dust mites because I am allergic to it.
I feel that the 305 room is like the price, a discount.

The pieces of lamb were either burnt or under cooked. The side of potato gratin was the best thing on the plate. The omlette soufflé was just average. The apple tartine and apple cidre were good.

Service Good. Had €24 per head set menu. Entree very nice, mains could not eat. Dessert ok.

Stayed last night (29th Sept) not a very nice experience, we couldn't get to sleep for all the noise that was coming from upstairs, sounded like the staff were fixing one of the rooms which went on till after 11:30pm, we were woke up at 5:50am by the early morning staff, banging & clashing… this went on all morning, no consideration for the guests at all! we had a dreadful night with very little sleep. The room was ok but very small, bathroom was dirty with damp on the ceiling, shower wasnt fixed to the wall as it was broken, toilet was dirty & the seat was loose, No extra pillows, not even a kettle for a hot drink… paying a €180 a night I would expect at least a hot drink but 1 bottle of water in the room, total waste of money, breakfast is over priced at €17. The hotel receptionist didn't even ask if we had enjoyed our stay or if everything was ok, spoilt our holiday. Save your money & go else where.

Horrible I had to return my almost raw bloody lamb stake and another table did the same after me.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent! It's location directly on Le Mont Saint Michel made this magical experience even better. The only drawback was the rather loud early morning noises coming from the street where a vehicle/forklift was bringing in supplies to all of the shops for that next day of business… but that wasn't too bad. I still think it was worth the experience.

The restaurant was full of flies, the toiles very dirty and smelly and the food very dull. Terrible experience. Just a tourist trap.

We booked a room in the historic building, but got bumped to the "annex". The annex room (top floor) was acceptable and had a killer view of the Abbey. But, it lacked the charm we sought in the main building and Wi-Fi never worked. It was fun to stay on the island. The evening is peaceful as the crowds filtered out, but they return, early!

Very basic hotel however location fantastic. My accomadation was in an annex. When checking in had to go to a different building that was a pain. Breakfast charged at €17 a person so did not bother. Bed very comfortable. Staff excellant. Overall could do with a licking of TLC. Location location location excelant and thats what its all about in le mont. Great view of saegul nests. Bye.

Hotel in the heart of the mount, a view of picturesque on the lanes. A great time.
The room deserves a refurbishment, damaged Tablet not recorked mounting hole, worn upholstery. Too bad because level cleanliness, hospitality and frame is nickel.

The only good thing is the localitation. Old facilities and just good personel in the reception. They didn't allowcthe vaby trolley in the restaurant.

Ask for the room under the roof with view on the arrow of the Abbey: a wonder. Forget the service and catering.

Hotel ok, Restaurant bad. Location is good and room itself was decent but if you need Wi-Fi, make sure to get a room in the main building. Otherwise you are out of luck. I cannot recommend eating at the restaurant or avoid the Agneau — tasted ok but made me sick and vomit afterwards plus I still got charged for it. For breakfast, you'll be better off finding a bakery.
