With regard to our stay at the Eiffel Capitol hotel, I have a duty to report what happened.
On 31.07 we arrive at the hotel in question to check in, we had booked through Booking a double room for 4 nights.
Together with me and my partner, we had a little dog, a small cavalier king in the carrier (we came from Amsterdam by train).
Upon our arrival, the Lord of Reception informs us that the hotel does not accept animals.
Shocked by this information, we show him that on the Booking website is reported " allowed animals ". Then the Lord corrects his statement and says that only small dogs are allowed.
More and more astonished we pull the little dog out of the carrier to show him but he continues in his version and adds to this point that "only chiuhauhua are allowed".
We show him again on the Booking page where it is reported generically " animals admitted without surcharge ".
He tells us, then, that he is forced to put us in a room on the ground floor away from the other rooms, because the other guests have paid and can not be bothered by the barking of our dog. We also specify that the little dog would never be in the room alone.
We are shocked by his claims but accept the room on the ground floor.
We settle down and notice that the room is located next to the hotel service bathrooms and the closet where the service women take the cleaning tools.
Once in the room, which initially seemed to be fine, we began to notice that it was not possible to open the windows because they were on the street, in the bathroom it was not even possible to open the window nor was there a plane.
Over the next 2 days we are woken at 7am by customers using the services in front of our room and by the service staff.
On the morning of the 2nd my partner, awakened by the squeaking of the doors and the high tone of people's voice, gets up and goes to the Reception to inform that this is impossible. That we can't be woken up at dawn. He always finds the usual rude Lord at the reception who invites him to lower his voice and who tells him that "what we have is the best room for us and our dog" and that if we wanted we could leave. Extremely annoyed by the arrogance and rudeness of this gentleman, we prepare and go out to look for another accommodation. 300 meters later we find a hotel available to let us and our dog stay. Let's go back to our hotel and notify the Lord that we have found another accommodation. We invite him to return to us the part of the stay that we have not used and that is the remaining 2 nt. First it says yes. Then that we do not have a refundable reservation and that therefore we can go away but without having the money back. We are alarmed and confirm that without a refund we will stay. We certainly don't give him the 2 nt already paid.

He wishes us with a really unpleasant tone to have a good day. Luckily from that moment on this lovely gentleman we never met him again. In his place we found a certain Mr. Silvan friendly and helpful.

Friday 3, also, we return to the room around 3 pm (after leaving from 10 in the morning) and find the room still to be redone. Wanting to rest we only asked to change the towels, which Mr. Silvan promptly handed over to us.

I highly recommend this hotel, not for the property, in itself also good, but for the poor professionalism of those who work there. And I'm surprised that a Manager allows people who are so low-skilled and so rude to be in touch with their clients.

The staff in reception is your business card and you threw it in the wind.
