Very nice experience. I am grateful to the Lonely Planet guide who reported this hotel. Well located on a quiet street in the centre of Bordeaux, it is highlighted in a very discreet way. We welcome Sarah's lovely kindness and helpfulness, very professional in exposing the hotel's amenities. As soon as you enter you are surrounded by a relaxing atmosphere of quiet. The interiorand and décor are of a refined and elegant simplicity. Beautiful the staircase leading to the upper floors. Rooms bright and comfortable, essential but complete. Stunning the small courtyard, with the walls covered with ivy (hence the name of the hotel). We start having already nostalgia.

Charming hotel in the city of Bordeaux.

Of all the hotels I have tested on Bordeaux, the most enjoyable. The rooms are clean and quiet (can be a little small for some), with a balcony or terrace. The breakfast is very above average with quality products.

When I get down to Bordeaux, I can't even choose another hotel. The Ivy House is just top, a beautiful charming hotel, the staff is nice, we feel like home… I took the first time a superior double room and would stay on this room range because alas we took a range below for 2 days. And the bathroom was really too small, the shower curtain bothered all the time, impossible to take its shower properly, but after each to its comfort… I would definitely recommend this hotel in the heart of downtown!

A treat. Discreet intimate… A landmark in Bordeaux.

Our stay at this hotel "The House of Ivy" in Bordeaux, follows a contest organized by the region new-Aquitaine. We found this hotel very charming, right in the city center. We were seduced by the reception, the quiet, the cleanliness, the room was flirtatious tastefully decorated, breakfast with a great choice. The orange juice pressed and served last minute was delicious. The books on all the tables can be placed in the patio or inside. We strongly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, ideally placed for the centre of Bordeaux, has the most comfortable beds in France.

This hotel had been advised and we were not at all disappointed. A stone's throw from the Place des Quinconces and pedestrianised streets, this is the perfect place to visit Bordeaux. Combining elegance and relaxing atmosphere, it was difficult in the morning to leave the breakfast room which already offers a real moment of relaxation. Our room very nicely furnished and comfortable, although having the windows next to the street, invited us to rest in peace, after a day of visits in this beautiful city of Bordeaux. I would recommend this hotel which turns out to be a good address for a nice stay, the welcome there is very nice, we put down our luggage in the morning on arrival and found them in our room in the evening. It's a nice little touch.

It would be 5 stars if there was this Parking problem…

Great location.

Exceptional! I think it should be the most charming place to stay in Bordeaux. It is a very nice Boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One point against it is that there is no elevator. Another point against it is that the food service (wine and pickets) is only until 7:30. But the points in favor far outweigh these disadvantages. The breakfast was very good. The décor is beautiful in every corner of the hotel. We loved the details. The hotel smells delicious too. And the location is very good. We loved it!

Small 4 day stay on Bordeaux including 3 nights in this hotel and it was awesome.
A welcome at the top, even arriving with advance, you are offered to keep your belongings and you are installed directly in your room.
When it comes to the room, we had chosen the room version with terrace and it was a real pleasure, especially when it comes time for breakfast, the snack is super good and the little extra: after the first breakfast, the girls who took care of us remembered our habits, enough to bring an extra touch of personalization.
When instead in itself, faithful to all the photos that can be seen, very nice, very beautiful … The rooms are very clean, spacious enough (for our case, we were in a room for two).
If we have the opportunity to return to Bordeaux, no doubt this is where we will come back. If you are still hesitating, be aware that it is ideally located in the centre, close to the main street Sainte-Catherine, close to a few restaurants and place not noisy.

BEWARE of being verbally assaulted by aggressive hotel owner. Unfortunately, I booked a stay for September at this horrible hotel, and I have never been treated so poorly in my life. My first night stay was miserable and I had no sleep because the air conditioning would only come on for 3 seconds and then it would not work. Reception closes at 8pm so I was out of luck for help that night. I also had a bad night sleep because before dawn they were doing I don't know what below my room, but it sounded as if they were moving furniture around and it was constant. I finally had to give up on trying to sleep and woke up exhausted. Here comes the worst part ever… I went downstairs that morning to let the hotel know that the AC was not working and ask if there was a different room I could move to. I found the hotel Owner at the front desk. As soon as I uttered the words that the AC didn't work for me, she started to AGGRESSIVELY YELL at me that it did work, without even coming to the room to check for herself. I tried about 6 times to slowly communicate to her that it did not work and I wanted them to look at it. Each time she would shout at me that it worked and then she even shouted at me that "YOU ALL press all the buttons. " So we went it circles which made no sense, and I could not take the aggression she was using the ENTIRE time. I had to interject and ask her to stop being so rude to me, but she just kept on and got more and more aggressive.

Excellent service. Checked in with my wife and baby and they upgraded us to a bigger room with air con for no extra charger. Breakfast was only nine euro and had lavish selection of fresh produce. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent location to access all relevant places in the city by food. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Avoid. Big sound insulation problems. The two rented rooms blithely let the sounds of the street and neighbours.
The icing on the cake: work not reported in the hotel which rise you at dawn. However, management has made a gesture of goodwill. Shame nevertheless.

In September, I spent 5 days with 3 other friends in this charming hotel. Really, I can't be that generous hospitality, service and the friendliness of the staff. The whole House has a special charm. Is it because it offers nothing of this foil which encourages to go his way? The House of Ivy instead inspires visitors to extend their stay
As for its location: ideal.
