If you want a great and authentic Galapagos experience, I highly recommend staying at Casa Lago. It ideally located within a 2-minute walk to the Pier, the local restaurants and Tortuga Bay entrance. The accommodations are spacious with the charming feel of tropical Latin America home. There is a private balcony for evening drinks and a nice lagoon behind the property. However, what makes this place great are the owners Maria and Daniel. They are among the nicest people I've met having traveled to over 40 countries. They gave me great advice on where to go, what to eat, and were accommodating in every way possible. They made me feel welcomed like a member of their family even though I didn't speak Spanish. The Galapagos was an amazing experience and a big part of that was Maria, Daniel, and Casa Lago.
