Very comfortable and the people are very attentive and friendly.

Very friendly service, A very quiet and comfortable place, the beautiful terrace the view of tomorrow perfect to go with family or group.

The highly atmosphere is very familiar. I had a great stay in the alcazaba with maria, oswaldo and her daughter. They were available at all times and gave me lots of helpful tips for activities and trips around puerto lopez. Even my lack of Spanish proficiency did not present a problem, as they were very patient to explain everything to me. The hostal is located just outside the center, but this did not bother me. For this you will be rewarded with a friendly, authentic atmosphere. The hostal also has an outside with a hammocked and super view + a kitchen that can be used if required. Everything is very clean and the prices are totally fair. Can recommend 100% stay.

Hostal Alcazaba is a wonderful and refreshing hostel. My friend and I stayed for five days and four nights. We accidentally made reservations for the wrong dates and management was able to accommodate us right away. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help in anyway possible. Breakfast is included in the morning at the time you'd like. It's delicious. The kitchen and dining room are very clean. The hostel also offers massages, one of which I got, and it was remarkable; I had it on the terrace overlooking the beach at sunset (you may choose to have a more private massage). The rooftop terrace has many hammocks to sit and relax in and read. Management also arranged for our tour to Isla de la Plata. The beach is only a short walk from the hostel. Altogether, this was an incredible stay and I recommend it to any adventure seekers backpackers, or anyone staying for a nice relaxing vacation. This was the best and kindest hospitality I have received in my three months here in Ecuador. I really cannot praise Maria and her daughter enough for all they did for us. It felt like home.

A fantastic stay, I loved it! The rooms are very clean, a breathtaking view from the top of the terrace with a few hammocks to rest. The charming women owners of this hotel, was such a kindness, I thank them greatly, my stay was more enjoyable.

It is a beautiful place, has a very nice view I recommend 100% is clean very close to the beach and the owners are very friendly they are always ready to help with information from the tourist places and tour that we can perform.

We come with my husband from Bolivia and this has been the best deal received throughout our stay in Ecuador. An excellent predisposition of the owner Flia to any need we had (not for nothing we were 10 days). The rooms are clean, comfortable, hot water, good sign of Wi-Fi, and a rich breakfast included! We are more than grateful to all the flia especially to Mrs Maria to have made us feel at home. We will visit God again through.

We stayed two nights at the hostel. Includes simple breakfast, there is optimal Wifi, hot water and you can hire the tour to Isla de la Plata for good price (I would not do it in dry season; there is little to see).
It is a 15 minute walk to the beach and with Moto taxi costs 50 cents.
The owners are a very hospitable Ecuadorian family.

Excellent care, very kind in the treatment and always with a smile, comfortable rooms and economic, is a great place to spend the vacation.

Great spot for a few days in Puerto López.

We had a great stay thanks to the owner Maria. She was so friendly and easy going that we decided to stay longer. The place has a kitchen that we used often, very clean and comfy rooms, good Wi-Fi and hot showers and it's only a 15-minute walk to the beach. It also has a big market only 4 blocks away where you can lunch or buy fresh fruit and veggies. I loved the terrace as well where you can do yoga, or simply chill out looking at the sunset. Affordable prices in a friendly environment.
