I would give no stars if I could. Planned to stay 3 nights here. Got put into a 10x10 hostel style room w/ private bathroom. Looked like a dump and the bathroom smelt like sewage. Tried showering after I arrived from the ferry (got sick on the ride over). Literally only had about 10 water droplets coming out every second. Was either scorching hot or freezing cold. Contacted the owner via Air B&B. She in return contacted our host, Ivan. He could not figure out why the bathroom didn’t have adequate water pressure or water temperature. Waited for 3 hours for him to only come up to the roof and let us know he was going to upgrade us to a better room inside the big house for free. We were very happy and hoped the nightmare was over because we had wasted a full day. New room didn’t have a full size bed like we booked, just two twins, but we were hopeful for the water and wanted to at least try it out. Took a trip to Sierra Negra the next day. Got back around 3 in the afternoon, very dirty. Went to hop in the shower and no hot water AGAIN. Ice cold water only with no water pressure. We contacted the owner and she told us that she was about to board a plane but to direct any and all other problems to Ivan (even though he doesn’t speak ANY English). Basically gave us the shaft and we did not know what to do. Spent $20 to talk to Air B&B via my cell phone to try and figure out what we should do.

Had a terrible stay here. There was a consistent issue with the hot water, the shower would fluctuate between very hot and very cold, and sometimes the hot water would not work at all. Ivan, the onsite manager, was very helpful with this, but every time the issue came up it would take several hours for him to try to fix it. This problem went on for almost 2 days with no real resolution, and it severely cut into our vacation time. The owner does not live onsite so I had to continuously communicate with her online. Every time we tried to use the shower this problem would come up, I would have to get in contact with Ann (the owner), and then Ivan would try to make repairs for a couple of hours. After this happened 3 times within the span of 24 hours we decided that we had to stay somewhere else if we wanted to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Ann was very rude and unhappy that I cancelled the remainder of our stay, and proceeded to tell me that I was being "difficult and discerning" and even inferred that I made the whole thing up because apparently other guests did not have the same issues. The last thing I wanted to do on my very expensive vacation was cause problems make things stressful. I had spent over 6 months planning this trip and wanted nothing more than for everything to go smoothly. We missed out on a couple of planned activities because we were stuck at the hotel so I did not want that for the rest of my time there.

The hosts are extreamly nice and accommodating. The location is perfect. Splurge and pay for the front house. It's worth it.

My wife, our friends and I spent two nights here. The inn is the second to last building at the end of town and directly across from the beach. The rooms were decent size, clean, comfortable and modern. No television or microwave or fridge. Internet does not work well unless you are on the roof terrace which is very nice as you have a pretty unobstructed view of the ocean and beach and in the back the lagoon which is occasioned by pink flamingos. The terrace itself is very comfortable with tables, chairs and umbrellas. The caretaker of the inn that also makes the continental breakfast is Great. Speaks a little English but is very helpful.

Very nice place, clean and quite friendly staff. Only minus was the lack of pressure of the water which means you should avoid the shower during peak times…
