Cataleya hotel. Old Colonial Santo Domingo, DR! I choose this awesome boutique hotel for my final 4 nights in the Dominican Republic. I must say this hotel is awesome — I have been in the Hotel Hospitality business for 30 years and have stayed at numerous hotels in my journey but I will say this one appears to be a "hidden gem". I loved it. The hot water feels great when showering — the mini refridgerator kept my water bottles almost at freezing temperatures when temporarily placed in the freezer compartment & speaking about freezing. You will love the freezing cold A/C unit with remote control if assigned to queen bed suite. In staying at Cataleya Hotel Santo Domingo I must say the cleanliness of the entire hotel is impeccable. The cleaning lady is the real deal she is so kind, gentle, helpful and goes above and beyond all expectations, no joke the place has the awesome lingering scents of cleanliness from entering the hotel to leaving hotel her attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel is beyond 5 five star quality work. The night time security guys are great guys they are awesomely pleasant and professional even when they have to undo the front door gate at 4am after clubbing or hanging out with friends. Doobie the front desk agent is superior quality very kind and humble and if you need something he will assist you and YES he speaks English too. Lol. Thanks again to ALL staff at CATALEYA. I will be back again soon.
