Reviews of Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers, an IHG Hotel 4*
Best international experience ever in Copenhagen…
One of the best breakfast I ever had… good location, friendly stuff👍🏼
Awesome view of the airport and Malmo bridge. Great location with easy access to Airport, metro, shopping mall etc.!
Slow and arrogant service at the information desk, the hotel is about 20 min from Sweden and the staff could barely communicate with us. Get some staff that can speak other than danish if you want to have any kind of service level above 1 of 5! Another reason the danes not shall be concidered as a part of Scandinavia.
One of the best hotel in Copenhagen 👍👍👍
My 3rd time here since July. Excellent hotel.
Excellent experience! Stayed one night for business with a great view from the 21st floor. Great conference facilities for a two day workshop. As a cherry on top, the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel, restaurants and conference facilities to everyone in my network.
Fab staff from reservations to reception and restaurant and bar. These guys and girls goes the extra mile for your comfort… stay Crowne Plaza CPH Towers ❤️
Excellent service, great food — I really like the atmosphere.
Large rooms Beds & pillows to die for.
Nice toiletries & very quiet in rooms.
Fitness Centre & great Club Lounge.
Nice hotel but when it comes to the staff they are not helpful. I been sending a lot of email and same question and answer I always get they dont care about there costumer… I forgot my watch in the room before we check out and no one in the staff put it in lost in found… I write them a lot of time same answer I get that they cannot find it.
Materialistically it’s a very nice hotel, but when it’s come to helpfulness & concern from the staff is zero, they are just like a robots.
Friendly and helpful staff.
The pdj is full and tasty.
The rooms are spacious and the bedding is very comfortable. The general manager cares about the well-being of his guests and this is felt. We had a great time.
Jp. Sungaren.
Had a fantastic time staying here, upgrade on arrival, staff very welcoming and helpful, wonderful bar staff and breakfast was beautiful could not ask for more and would definitely recommend and stay here again x thanks for making our first visit to Copenhagen amazing x.
Great place to have your meetings.
Great location right next to train station and everyone is very friendly.
A truly brand defining Crowne Plaza with great service and an important all sustainable hotel of the future!
Good ambiance
good service
all staff are very friendly.
Lovely hotel, friendly check in, superb club lounge and comfortable rooms.
Wonderful hotel a few minutes from the airport. The rooms are very spacious. The fine dining restaurant serves great food. The piano bar is a favorite. Warm helpful staff. A great place to stay on business or pleasure trips to beautiful Copenhagen Denmark.
Great hotel and friendly people! Nice breakfast too‼️
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Provided early breakfast as we were leaving before it opened. A pleasure to stay here. Handy for the airport.
Nice and good hotel with very friendly staff, but the Noise of the Elevators is awful and unbelievable for such a new building.
I had a wonderful stay during New Year's at Crowne Plaza. Staff was amazing and very professional. The whole idea and their concept was judicious. Their location is central and that's very practical. I'm looking forward to return as my prefered hotel in Copenhagen.
The club lounge is very nice and the proximity to the airport is very practical.
We have been twice and both times the staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were spotless with great views, no hesitation in recommending them and will use again if we're back in Copenhagen.
Dry welcoming hotel, with a nice “Organic” design, Space and facilities for actives traveller’s. Gym available with very Good Set Up, Restaurant and Bar available with a top notch quality service and products. The meat is perfectly cooked ❤️ Room is spacious and bright enough to make you feel confortable to work like In an office, Or to sleep deep with suggested/complimentary hotel gift. Internet free, available every where in this big hotel. Metro entry very close, max 200-300m from the hotel. Room service available, and business center as well.
We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers. Check in was quick and easy and we received an upgrade to a massive suite! The hotel is conveniently located with a short train ride to the airport, city center, as well as being only about 40 minutes from the cruise port using public transportation. Highly recommend a stay at this property!
It's a nice hotel. Located close to the airport. Nearby there is a large shopping mall.
We stayed for 5 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Location is close to the airport and close to Field's shopping center and metro station, less than 10 minutes from city center, and in a quiet neighborhood. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and one nice lady even helped us plan our daily adventures. The lounge access was really nice since we were able to eat a nice breakfast every morning. We got the Copenhagen card for two days and used it to get into all the palaces and museums, as well as all the public transportation. It also included entrance to Tivoli Gardens, but not the rides. Worth it if you plan on visiting all the major attractions and using public transport, which was ready and very convenient. Overall a very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.
Spotty service especially as an ambassador aspire member.
No usual upgrades — a very small cramped room and bathroom overlooking much construction and an arena.
No help with the bags, everything seemed like a hostel self serve type place severely understaffed and underserviced.
… No or wait a while seemed to be the preferred answer by front desk staff and we had to wait 12 hours, 3 phone calls and 3 trips to reception to ask about the extra bed they told us was prebooked into the computer system and requested us to wait for — each time told it was coming right up.
Breakfast at the lounge was cold with soft boiled eggs that sat out for hours and cold baked beans made my daughter sick but maybe that is the normal danish way of cooking those things.
They seem very short staffed. Even when I emailed to complain to customer service — I was given an auto reply she was on vacation and out of office :)
Evening staff was much more friendly and helpful than the morning staff but by then I had lost patience with all the waiting for nothing. Maybe it is just sundays like that with little staff? It was super quiet with not many guests so I didn’t quite understand why service was so terrible throughout the long waiting for housekeeping day.
This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in, and we would not hesitate to go back. The room was very comfortable and there was air conditioning. The buffet breakfasts were so good, you could literally eat to burst! The staff team were all very friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel is well situated, it has metro and train station access on its doorstep as well as providing a drop off and pick up bus service to and from the airport, which takes less than ten minutes. It is a stunning building, and rightly acclaimed for its environmental attributes.
It's a beautiful hotel. Comfortable rooms. Wonderful bar.
Very nice Hotel with friendly staff and thorough room service. They put these little sleeping mists next to the cushions for the guest to use if wanted, that’s just some awesome service. Also the restaurant is quite nice, although they should be a little more open to special diets during dinner.
This is an updated review. We have stayed here on two separate occasions within one week. During our first visit, we had some issues regarding our room which we brought to the attention of the staff. We just returned to the hotel for our second stay and are once again experiencing the hospitality and room comfort that we have enjoyed during visits in previous years. Oh, and if you don't know, this hotel is one of the greenest in the world — literally as well as figuratively. The lobby is an actual forest. The one thing I would still suggest that the hotel could improve is the parking process. You have to park your car, then walk through a garage and up a ramp to the elevator to the lobby, tell the staff you parked, get a piece of paper for the dashboard and then go all the way back down again. Not particularly convenient! But other than that, the rooms are great, the property is clean and new and although it's well outside the city center, it's super easy to get downtown on the Metro which leaves right outside the hotel.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Great place to stay, I came here for a vacation. The hotel has very high environmental standards, and the south facade of the tower is a wall of solar panels to take advantage of the uninterrupted views. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and upgraded our room for a good deal since we were a family of three. Most European hotels don't offer rooms with more than one queen bed, so the cot I slept in was comfortable and the executive room was big enough to be comfortable. Breakfast at the main restaurant is quite expensive, but from what I saw has a wide selection and looks delicious. I ate in the club lounge that was included with the executive room, and loved it. The selection was smaller than the restaurant, but big enough and always fresh. Alan in the lounge was probably the favorite part of our trip, as he was always friendly and went out of his way to accommodate guests. (The omelettes and ginger drinks he served were delicious! ) He was also a helpful source of information on life in Denmark and what ordinary citizens experience in everyday life.

Cleanliness of the rooms really poor to overlook.
Great venue for one day meeting, like the one I attended today. Nice simple buffet breakfast with juice, milk, tea and coffee at the start of the meeting. Excellent size room, but unfortunately not in a class room style setup. Also unfortunately the host choose not to use the microphone, although were more than 100 people, and there were some noise in room during presentations. Good projections equipment and sound with Bose speakers (only used during pre-meeting time). Nice lunch served in restaurant upstairs. Conference room is in basement, so there is no daylight in the room. Afternoon snacks were delicious.
Great place, rooms (shell at least mine on two occasions) seem to be of good standard. Reception are multilingual and very helpful \ friendly. Had dinner here one evening, that was good too, well presented. We were even joking about chilli eating (as I tend to like eating that} with my colleagues and table staff, they obliged and we had chilli's fabulous :-) Airport transfers are available Only a short distance from the airport. I would likely stay here again, if I am in the area again…
We stayed here in March 2018. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The rooms are spacious and modern, with beautiful views. The breakfast was extensive and very good. But I simply can't say enough about the staff. They were overly helpful and prompt to respond, remembered us from day to day, and always greeted us with a smile. We unfortunately left our luggage on a bus on our way to the hotel and (not speaking the local language), the staff spent a lot of time making calls to help us get it back. The hotel was connected to an office building and market which was unique. There was a beautiful atrium filled with tall trees indoors. The train station was about a 10 minute walk away, and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a train to get to the airport or into the city. It was a lovely place to stay.
We chose this hotel at the end of our trip as it was close to the airport and we were leaving early. Being located near a subway train, we were able to go into town the evening before to buy souvenirs and supper.
Lovely. Very close to transit, and both city centre and airport. Excellent service and friendly staff. We will definitely be back!
King sized bedroom on the 19th floor looking over the Royal arena, with breakfast. Great views at night looking over the lights of the eastern part of the city. Views a bit grey and industrial during the day. Comfy beds, good sized bathroom with shower and bath. Great options at breakfast. Very modern features and design. Ideal location next to the Metro to get into the city and free shuttle transport to and from the airport (but you need to book). My only complaint would be the two single duvets on the large bed. Made for an interesting night's sleep to say the least.
Lovely staff. Friendly. And amazing room with every thing you need. Was here for 2 days on business and best hotel in the country by a danish mile. 5 out of 5 stars.
We can really recommend Crown Plaza Copenhagen. It is an excellent hotel with outstanding service. We have access to the lounge in the morning and in the evening. Allan is responsible for breakfast in the lounge and downstairs, where we sometimes also have enjoyed breakfast. The service Allan is providing the guests is outstanding. He is a wonderful person, helpful with everything and makes the stay a real pleasure. We will hereby give Allan and the rest of the staff at the hotel the best possible rate. We are travelling a lot and have tried most of the hotels in Copenhagen and nearby. Crown Plaza is our favorite!
Overall enjoyed my stay, loved the fact they had heated floors in the bathroom! Nice view from the 20th floor and the sun can get quite bright during the day but comfortable during the winter. The breakfast was ok but not impressed. The burger at the bar was actually really good and I guess the price reflects it if you can't be bothered with walking to Fields.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Charged me 3 times (900 GBP) claimed they didn’t. Refused to give my money back, still waiting for the deposit back a month later. Cost me as much as my stay in international calls trying to sort it out. Unresponsive and unapologetic. Would never stay with them or a crowne plaza hotel again.
Elegant. Good location in the vicinity of the Metro. Good breakfast Inside it has a nice garden. Possibility to organize buffets for ceremonies. There is a pub inside that I recommend for great meat sandwiches and a bar where they make an exquisite cappuccino. The rooms are comfortable. The body cream they offer in the room is great. Friendly and efficient staff.
I was there for business during the week and it was very good. Can't say the views of Fields was great but that is just the area. My wife and daughter joined me for the weekend. It is not a family hotel (e. G. No bath) but the staff were highly accommodating and very friendly. Location is excellent. Easy access to Airport, City and shopping centre if you don't want to be in a central hotel. Huge park land surrounding is great for running. Main negative for me was the gym. It was crammed with old machines, several being rusty. No room to strech out and do core work. No mats, balls, free weights etc. I discovered you can get a free ticket to the leisure centre in Fields but I was too late to find out.
Very modern hotel, top reception with quick check-in process. Only 10 minutes away from the airport. The rooms are comfortable with many pillows in bed. Really nice hotel and highly recommended.
Very nice… But don't smoke in a non-smoking area… I was charged 2.000 crowns.
Very nice hotel and everything new!
It is a 4 star, but for my part it does not deserve more than 3. Moreover, they do not satisfy simple requests: we ask for a large bed for 2, we are provided 2 single beds glued. What's more in an adjoining room… We ask for a big duvet in place of the 2 small child duvets, they refuse… we ask for cotton swabs and they do not have either, etc… etc… In short, fortunately the hotel is only 15mn from the city center by Metro.
Amazing hotel. Beds are really comfortable. The bathroom floor is heated. The bar is great. Internet doesn't suck.
Hotel Crown Plaza Copenhagen is a first class hotel. Services are excellent. Welcome team is efficient and friendly.
Not a hello, welcome, nothing from the front desk. The only friendly staff member we encountered was the lady who is cleaning our room. They refused to let us check in early, and the women at the front desk must think we're stupid, or demanding because she kept saying breakfast wasn't included. I don't know why she kept saying that since we never asked to begin with. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone given the fact they don't seem to appreciate customers.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, club room nice with nice food. Shuttle bus to airport available. Can recommend.
Newly built peripheral area with excellent connections. Excellent Hotel for space, cleanliness and service.
I’ll start out with the good aspects first — the hotel staff was nice and the location was very convenient! It was close to public transportation, a bike rental store, shopping mall, and supermarket. However, I did have a few problems with my stay here. My biggest complaint was the bathroom’s major design flaw. There’s only about 1/3 of a glass wall for the bathtub/shower that is supposed to keep the water in the tub area. Because it is too small, it is almost inevitable for the floor to get wet. Even when I strategically positioned my body and the showerhead, water still got all over the floor. When I say all over the floor, I really mean all over. From the tub to under the sink to behind the toilet; there was water. I had to use two towels to dry the floor and the next day when I showered again, the towels were still not dry from the day before. I’ve traveled to many countries and in my experience, this is hands down the poorest design for a hotel bathroom in a western European country. Two additional issues I had were with the mini fridge. Every morning when I tried to open it, the fridge was locked. When I called the front desk, they were unable to unlock it remotely and had to send a technician every time. This happened three days in a row. Next, the ‘personal use’ space they gave me was only about 15 cubic centimeters. The rest of the mini fridge was filled with generic hotel products like drinks and snacks.
09/09/17: 4.5 out of 5 — Stayed here as part of my and my wife's European trip doing the Volvo Delivery Program; we were visiting from Portland, Oregon, USA. The Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers is an updated and modern hotel in Copenhagen. The rooms are modern and clean for comfort. The staff were very helpful and informative. Almost the standard nowadays in moderate — to high-end hotels. The rooms were modern with comfort in mind with its design. Very clean lines and neutral colors that compliments the wood tones and brushed metal. Overall, comfortable with one exception to the bathroom. The bathroom is aesthetically appealing. However, I feel it lacks a bit in efficiency, maybe effectiveness, or just both. Meaning, when showering, water does get on the floor. Even with floor mat it is a bit of a safety concern. Everything is functionally nice. The Crowne Plaza offers a lot of other amenities to make the stay comfortable. Everything from a decent Fitness Center or having access to an actual gym with pool use. There are some suggested running routes that the hotel provides maps for along with a little recovery station in the lobby with towels and light refreshments. Of course, other amenities would be the restaurant, a cafe, a bar, and a breakfast eatery. All which you will pay for. Overall, the Crowne Plaza is impressive and my wife and I have enjoyed our stay. It's definitely on our list to stay for our next visit.
Got woken up by fire alarm at about 2310hrs, and all guests were asked to evacuate by the staircase to the ground floor. The Danish fire brigade arrived with three fire engines after I made it to the ground floor. I was on a high floor.
Guests were waiting around in the cold outside, there were no hotel employees to give directions to lead us to a safe location; we were just milling around the driveway. This shows that the hotel has very poor fire contingency planning. After a while guests just started to go back into the lobby area as it was cold outside but still there was no direction by any of the hotel staff and about maybe forty minutes later the all clear was given and guests made their way back to their rooms. There was no apology by any hotel staff at all. Very poor handling by the hotel, the least they could have done was to get the night manager to stand by the elevators to extend apologies to their guests for the false alarm.
All high standards expected of Crowne Plaza were met during our 5 night stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Easily accessible by highway, airport shuttle and metro (6 stops to downtown). Our room faced north and had great views of Copenhagen. Traffic noise from busy highway was faint and did not disturb sleep (floor 23). Restaurant has somewhat limited choice but there are still veggie, fish, chicken and beef options. Meals are good quality and burgers are of gourmet type.
The hotel and rooms are nice. Hotel being right next to the metro and train is a big plus as well. Front desk staff are hit or miss. Example being the surprise 300kr ($47) a night security deposit charged to your card in advance. Staying 11 nights so that's an extra $500 upfront I didn't know about. Then the restaurant is mediocre. Good service, decent food, but way too expensive.
A modern hotel with well-connected public transportation to both the airport and city centre. A lobby with a indoor forest and the lounge is very nice. The hotel is very tall, 25 floors high, so the view is excellent.
I stayed here on business and was very happy. The service was quick and efficient and the breakfast was tasty. The staff were pleasant and polite too. I'll be staying here again soon.
Here with my family of 5 for a weekend retreat. Spacious and comfortable rooms, a family of 5 couldn't have asked for more. Eco friendly hotel, good location and just 5mins walk to the Field's mall for your shopping et al. Great reception, great staff at the bar and restaurant. Excellent place to be!
Very modern new hotel. On the outskirts next to the highway but the Metro is 200m away. On weekends, the area is as extinct. We had a room at the 24Stock with great views… Unfortunately south to the terminus of the Metro and not to Copenhagen. But what is really horrible. Is the air conditioner which is very noisy and you can not switch it off either. Constantly this breeze through the room with the monotonous loud noise of the fans.
Helpful and well prepared staff, I recommend.
Good location. The staff is friendly. The room is comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
Hotel from the imposing height. On the high floors you can enjoy a spectacular view of the rest of the city. Great breakfast and Great restaurant.
Hotel without international adapter nor provide guests with one. Like they said, small things make a big difference.
Brand new hotel, excellent service, close to train and mall, and tons of new things being built right beside it. Great views.
Imposing looking hotel with great views over the city and towards neighbouring Sweden. From the outside the hotel is situated in an area of development, but never did I hear any of the construction work. It was very peaceful. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom. Beds were very very comfortable. The staff on reception were also fantastic and very friendly. On numerous occasions we'd ask for recommendations for restaurants and bars and they were only too happy to share their local knowledge. The recommended places were also great too (Thanks Andra & Patricia! ). Breakfast was a mix between continental and Danish, with pastries as well as cheese and meats. There was also a cooked option. I would definitely stay at the hotel again if ever I return to Denmark.
Good hotel convenient for the airport.
Somewhat complicated to find the lobbt if you come from the station and orestadt at another hotel very well.
A typical business hotel. Comfortable air conditioned rooms with a spacious bathroom. Low noise, virtually nothing from the outside reaches in. Breakfast is good, good selection of ingredients for my muesli. We stayed as a family in two rooms with connecting door which was perfect. Only drawback is the distance to downtown but the metro is just outside and it will take you to there in less than 15 minutes.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza. Our experiences with Crowne Plaza in the past 18 months have been less than desirable, but Copenhagen Towers has restored our faith in the brand. It is a contemporary hotel with modern fixtures & fittings and is approximately 5 minutes walk from Orestad station (DSB & Metro) and Fields major shopping center. The rooms were clean, spacious and well-designed with ample power outlets! The staff at reception were welcoming, courteous and helpful — they could not be faulted! To top it off, the Wi-Fi is free in all areas and the hotel provides complimentary fruit and shuttle buses to and from the airport is a lovely touch. The hotel is in a quiet part of Copenhagen (suitable to those who prefer peace and quiet) but having said that, the DSB train takes you to the city center in 5 minutes! Our only issue was with the shower which, being quite small, resulted in water splashing onto the floor and creating somewhat of a mess. Notwithstanding, we had a very pleasant experience at Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers.
Big, covered in solar panels so environmentally friendly, but away from Copenhagen's centre.
Very lovely hotel. Near to metro and train. Nice rooms, king sized bed.
Excellent hotel, great rooms, breakfast and staff.
Great modern hotel, very comfy, well insulated to outside noise. Located just a short train ride from airport or use free shuttle bus (only until 11pm). Also short metro ride into town. Great value as cheaper and nicer than many downtown hotels. There's Denmark's biggest shopping centre (Fields) 2 minutes walk away too.
My family and I stayed at Crowne Plaza on our trip from the USA to Greenland in 2011. We had the family room which was two rooms joined by an inside door. It was by far the best hotel we have stayed in anywhere. The rooms were excellent, the prices great, and they had a free shuttle back and for from the airport (which with 3 kids and 10 bag was a blessing! ). We are really looking forward to staying again in 2014 as we return from Greenland to the USA.
Very good location, Metro on the doorstep, free airport shuttle, friendly staff, very good breakfast buffet.
Nice new place. Overall good, but not quite great due to a couple of annoying things: 1) No shower curtains, so water goes all over the bathroom floor, and has to be mopped up. 2) To use Wi-Fi, you have to provide your email address, and consent to being spammed. Every 24 hour hours. Very rude, and not hospitable. 3) Wi-Fi seems to be configured so that iTunes movies won't download after 30 MB or so. Even at 2 am, when no one else is likely to be using the network. Very frustrating when you want to download a movie prior to flying out. 4) Gym needs more attention. One of the pieces of gym equipment (leg press) had a seat that was about to fall off since the bolts were loose. Additionally, they don't seem to clean up the gym more than once a day. I'm knocking off 2 stars for all these issues, for a total of 3 points. It cost me around USD 200 per night to stay here, which is less than places in town, which can be USD 250 per night or higher. The staff is friendly and helpful. They just need to fix the shower curtains, Wi-Fi, and gym. To get to Bella Center, it's 15 minutes by train (7 minutes walking, 5 minutes waiting, 3 minutes on train itself). It's about a 30 minute walk to BC.
Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Copenhagen with family. The hotel looks quite new and our rooms were modern and comfortable. The staff members were friendly and I appreciated the fact that they had a basic free Wi-Fi offering in addition to (faster) paid Wi-Fi options. The location is easily accessible by highway and reasonably close to both the airport and city center. My only major complaint was the value: the breakfast and other food offerings are outrageously priced, and it's also quite expensive to park your car for the evening, though they have ample space for it. A good choice if you are looking for a business-style hotel and you're not highly price-sensitive.
