Terrible service for professionals I had by mistake and pressed a wrong date exactly one month ahead, for a stay for my colleague who came from Portugal a late night. He was standing in the hotel lobby a late Tuesday night and no one there was interested in helping him figure what was wrong on the night. All he could do, was to make another booking (which he even had to do on his own phone, else he would see an additional service fee when booking at the counter). Following this, I called their booking department and explained them the situation politely. Even though they got their money and could easily see that the first booking exactly a month later was a human mistake, they were not interested in helping cancelling that stay, as they still had the right to keep it, since it was an "economy". While I fully understand they had the right to stand on that, it seems like a completely unnecessary thing to do. They already got the money for the booking on the intended dates and the following unintended booking was more than a month ahead of time and on regular weekdays. So I have a hard time seeing that it would in any way have harmed them to give a bit of service and to cancel it, in this situation. However they choose the "short sighted" solution to keep the 2500 DKK and instead of getting a happy customer they got a very disappointed one. As a consequence it will be the absolutely last time ever that my company will book a room with them.
