The staff are very helpful.

AVOID! THEY HAVE NO USABLE HOT WATER, paid for 2 nights checked out in 2 hours because of this and they refused to refund us. Not even refund one of the 2 days paid in advance. They act like low level crooks. We filled a 1/4 of the bathtub with hot water then the water turned cold. Clerk said to wait 20 min, we did, then to wait an hour, then said sorry, this is how its like. In an hour the water was only luke-warm. Dont go here if you expect anything but short showers for 1 person. Not to mention the dust in the room and AC unit was a finger in thickness. Now instead of fun I have 100 euros I need to try and recover by going to the bank, police and likely sue them. Because I cant accept to get scammed and thats exactly how it felt dealing with them… here’s their official reply if it makes any sense to you? : “According to our cancellation policy we charge you second night as a cancellation fee and first night we consider as consumed as room was used by you.
I am sorry but I must reject your refund claim since is irrelevant. ” irrelevant? cancelation fee? after 2 hours of occupying the room at 4 AM? bloody crooks.

Decent rooms, clean. Close to public transport. Breakfast is basic but good. Staff has passing control of the English language.

Very nice hotel. The rooms have good old-fashioned furniture, air conditioning and a kettle. It's very clean. The rooms facing out into the courtyard are very quiet. Friendly staff, there is a Russ-speaking staff member at the front desk. All will help and prompt. Decent breakfast: scrambled eggs, omelet, sausages, sausages, different cheese, pancakes, stewed vegetables, yogurt, mushli, pastries, fruits. Olya.

It's in a very good position, you can get the number 18 tram right to the heart of Prague (only 6 stops). The hotel in my opinion should be classified as a 3 star not 4. However the staff are friendly and very helpful and the rooms are clean.

Only went there for directions and tips for Prague. Staff was very helpful though.

Very much a pleasant restful hotel. Good tram connections. Helpful pleasant staff. Air con and good housekeeping. The room was boutique as stated. Pleasant period decor. Great variety of breakfast available and lido supermarket 5min away. Good restaurant and wine bar across the road. In all a great hotel and location.

The King Charles is a nice hotel. The room n. 5 are modern, but small. The location is okay.

The location cannot be said to be uncomfortable. By the means reach the center in 5 min, otherwise walking is a 20 min walk.
The location is decorated in a purely Gothic style, a little ' dated, it would take a small recomping. The rooms however are comfortable and clean. Very nice bathroom with pink marble manicured.
The staff is helpful and the breakfast is the typical international.

Nice clean hotel with delicious breakfasts. At the front desk, the staff speaks Russian, helps, and knows how to reach the desired location. Thank you for a pleasant stay! Dekuji Mockrat!

Don't forget to go up the hill behind the hotel there are some nice cafés and restaurants that don't show up on Google maps.

Stayed 25-28 Feb 2018. Clean hotel. Excellent varied breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent bathroom. A good walk along river to city centre.

+ Polite staff parking on weekends free map of the city can be taken at the counter-mattresses are hard, the jacuzzi does not work, the heating battery is turned on manually, the key behind, hot water quickly ends, the breakfast is modest.

Location clean and neat staff a little stiff but competent.

Hotel Viejo, the cupboard had no badge and was not serving the safe. They made us wait a long time to check in as the two receptionist did other things.

I was trapped into booking at King Charles Residence by high ratings. We have stayed 3 days there and here my observations: 1 — The building is extremely old and does not have any air conditioning 2 — Due to old infrastructure of the building, the hot water supply is 120 liters by room. After that, you have to wait around one hour in the shower to get another 120 liters of warm water
and it is extremely annoying 3 — The rooms are not cleaned properly 4 — The breakfast quantity and quality is poor. We saw even hairs in the fried eggs! Feel free to book here if you want to ruin your holiday in Praag :)!

This is not a 4 star hotel. Shower is a hand held shower which makes washing hair difficult. Curtains didn't meet in the middle and as the room was on the ground floor it didn't feel very private. Air con didn't work and was informed it was broken, a fan was provided but wasn't ideal in 30+ temperature. No carpets on the stairs & when we were checking out the place was like a building site which was a health & safety issue as there was wood, ladders, building materials & tools scattered everywhere. Two of the reception staff were very rude but two were very friendly. Skip breakfast. On the plus side the beds were comfortable, the Wi-Fi was good and the tram stop is directly across from the hotel, no 18 is 15-20 minutes to old town.

Hotel did have very nice rooms and nice breakfast with good mix of salty and sweet treats. Hotel is in the middle of Prague and the the transportation to hotel is easy during day and night. I can recommend it :)

Brilliant location. Staff were friendly. Tram into the centre outside the hotel which is ideal. Near to a lidl to get things for the room. Would stay again. Well worth the money.

Nice vintage styled interior with large rooms and decent sized bathroom, but has no shower, only bath. The room has no air conditioning, so gets hot in summer. Breakfast was okay but lacked decent hot food.

The hotel is a great price the double bed was so comfy and the room was a great size too… It was also very quiet at night for sleep too. It's in a great location, with one of the oldest landmarks, Vysehrad right round the corner and it's also within a couple of minutes walking distance to the river. Tram access is also excellent from the hotel, as there is stop about 30 seconds walk away, which can take you in to the New Town and up along the Old town etc… The hotel is smart, clean and tidy and the staff keep everything in order. All the staff are friendly and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I, recently, stayed at this hotel, and found it to be a delightful experience! The room was well appointed (27, I believe), and very comfortable! It was very spacious and a real treat to come back to after a long day of site seeing. The breakfast buffet offerings were a bit lacking, but overall, satisfying! I can't begin to say enough about the staff and their hard work and attentiveness to the guests… stellar! The easiest way to get around was by using the tram, which was located just steps away from the hotel front door! Very easy and convenient to go anywhere in the city by using this transportation. There are a few really great restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel! It was not overly expensive; comfortable, and provided an excellent base from which to explore this amazing city!

This is our first hotel in Prague for my future (then) wife) ) ) Cozy, warm, homey. Huge respect to all the staff, especially Ivan and Vitaly) ) ) Always ready to help with advice. The breakfasts are very hearty. Welcomedrink matchless;) ) ) Then came again after the wedding — the second impression is not worse than the first, in addition we did have a special and very pleasant gift from the hotel) ) ) I Miss Prague, that daughter will grow up and see places, "combat" fame;) ) ) Vysehrad is a special place! ) ) )

Unfortunately the hotel from the outside does not as such is recognizable, reception is located directly behind the heavy front door, we received from the staff at the front desk very friendly and we received many tips for our first visit to Prague. On demand, you get a parking card, which entitles you to park right in front of the hotel. Tickets for the tram can be purchased at the front desk. The room was furnished with heavy dark wooden furniture style, as well as a minibar, a mini safe was present in the wardrobe. All rooms are air-conditioned, if also the air conditioning was broken during our stay. As a short-term replacement staff has provided a mobile air conditioning in the room. The breakfast room in the basement was unfortunately uncomfortable furnished and quite small with 5 tables. For breakfast, you had the choice between small buns and toast as well as a kind of sausage, a type of cheese, honey and jam.

Last year was in this hotel 3 times. All very well, plan in October again to come here. The staff is very helpful, Breakfast more than satisfying. The rooms are cozy.

Wonderful place. Welcoming and friendly staff, English speaking. Pleasant rooms, in winter the room is very warm. Hearty Breakfast. Very good location, for my taste, are two different tram stop two minutes away and metro 10. Go to the center 8 minutes to go is 20-25. Near small shops and a supermarket, bars — pair works up to 2 nights — Shambala putting trance and DnB. The hotel is under the walls of Vysehrad, opposite Bastion (behind the tram pharmacy past her up the hill ;) ) where there is a climbing day. The area is very quiet. Eat more often, "the goat" is the closest neighboring angle. Very tasty and cheap. Special thank you to them. Rested at this hotel with my husband in late April of 2012, I was the first time in Europe I liked the hotel except for the fact that, to run a bath to wallow in it and then take a shower two people cannot be done because hot water is limited (probably is the heater). Highly recommend this hotel to people travelling first time in Prague, the wait staff is Russian-speaking and also Russophilia) ) ) advise how to get to a place where you can go, where to eat, and if you have no zdinak duck they are still in debt will give. In short I liked it! and from the city center relatively close had to walk for about 15-20 minutes. In the rooms is also good, very beautiful furniture, and even across the street grocery store.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very good location (near Vysehrad castle), good breakfast, nice furnished rooms, very conftable mattresses and pillows. The less good parts were the damaged jacuzzi and the lack of the boiler to support a full bath at a normal water temperature (i think it's a winter time problem due to the initial water very low temperature). And, the last but not the least, the welcome drink was delicious (Becherovka bitter for boys and Becherovka Lemon for ladies).

My wife and I stayed at the King Charles Boutique Hotel from 16th May 2010 for 8 nights and were delighted with our choice. The ambience of the hotel is surprisingly fine, considering the unimposing outside appearance. The staff could not have been more helpful, special mention must go to Alexander, who even printed off a train timetable in English to enable our trip to Karlstein castle to be as trouble free as possible. As well as him, all of the staff contributed to a very enjoyable stay. For those people who have registered less than favourable comments I would say, 'If you want Hilton quality and amenities, then be prepared to pay Hilton prices. ' We did not have any trouble finding the hotel, having contacted the hotel before our visit and were sent directions by receptionist Ilena. As for the journey into ther city centre, it could not have been easier, with a variety of trams available a short distance from the Hotel door. Alternatively it is an easy and delightful 15 to 20 minute walk along the riverside to the city. We found a number of good eating places nearby, Pod Vyserhad, Pod Slivenham and Bottanica can be recommended. Overall we had a very good stay and found King Charles hotel to be excellent value. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
