The Augustine has wonderful service and amenities. Every room is different due to the fact they are renovated monks rooms from the old monastery. Ask for a tour of the hotel and grounds you will be amazed. This hotel is centrally located to tram, subway and old town.

Exceptional service from the off! The concierge staff was helpful pre-arrival in securing transportation and property exclusive tours. The reception staff is engaging and helpful with all your arrival needs. The rooms in the old monastery section are charming, yet spacious and provide all the modern conveniences. The restaurant offers truly fine dining quality meals and wine selection. The Refectory Bar is a lovely place for evening cocktails and the Brewery offers a one of a kind tasting of the on-site St Thomas beer handed down from the monastery. The location is exceptional as you sit just below the Prague Castle and are steps from the Charles Bridge to get access to all Old Town has to offer. Perhaps the only negative is that I can’t stay forever!

Wonderful to be here in September, the weather is perfect. The concierge provided so many great recommendations for in-hotel services, Prague sightseeing by foot, and fine dining. The spa treatments are heavenly. Delighted my daughter suggested a stay for my birthday.

My room is along the tram route. I hear the tram rambling by every few minutes. Beside the noise, there is the vibration that comes with it. Couldn’t sleep well at all! Very bad experience. They couldn’t change the room as they are fully booked. I stayed there 5 nights. It’s unbearable. It’s an expensive hotel. But make sure you don’t get the rooms along the tram route.

Excellent hotel. Terrace area is outstanding. Staff is very pleasant and helpful in organizing things for us to do around the city. Atmosphere of the hotel is unique considering it is located in a bustling part of Prague. Definitely worth the price!

Fantastic hotel. Location was wonderful as it enjoyed immediate access to the bulk of Prague 1, but just removed enough not to be inundated with the throngs of tourists right when you walk out. The rooms were very comfortable and the bath was even big enough for a lumbering 6'5 giant like me. No complaints!

The Augustine is a beautiful hotel in a great location but it has its share of problems. The shower and bath are one in the same and it is not what we would expect in a high quality hotel. The water temperature was not that hot at its hottest setting. When we checked in something must have gone wrong as the hotel did not have us as checked in (even though we had a working room key). The breakfast next morning was a problem and they escalated to let us know we were not guests. It’s got resolved very politely but it was upsetting. Then our room was not serviced again as we were not guests according to housekeeping. We called twice to have this resolved and only after complaining to reception did this get resolved. There was no offer of compensation for these inconveniences. While we could have complained it always seems to me the hotel should offer. Through all this the staff was very polite but we felt the response was inadequate.

The location was perfect. Just blocks away from the Charles Bridge, yet serene within the walls of the complex. Staff were generous and thoughtful. Food was excellent. Rooms were extremely comfortable. The calm and peaceful atmosphere were a gift in the travel experience.

I've stayed at some of the finest hotels around the world and the Augustine rivals them all. This is an ultra luxury hotel that spares nothing to ensure your stay is the absolute finest possible. The GM greeted us at the entrance when we pulled up and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the Presidential suite upon check in after being informed it was available. We requested a recommendation for dinner from the concierge desk and had one of the most amazing meals as a result. Perfect all the way around. 10 out of 10.

The Hotel was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I find that being a luxury hotel lacks a pool.

Such rich history with some of the buildings dating back to the 1200’s AD. Centrally located to Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and St. Vitus cathedral (which our room had an amazing view of. ) Be sure to try the beer, who’s recipe has been brewed by Monks in house (former St. Thomas monastery) for centuries. An astounding cultural experience!

Augustine staff are very polite and accommodating, they are always ready to assist you for any request! They gave us a very warm welcome with a lot of recomendation about the city and restaurants. The room was comfortable and we find some macarons biscuits at the arrival, very nice surprise! In addition we had a coffee machine in the room with coffee pods that we could use for free (it's very important for an Italian to have your own coffee whenever you want it! ). The cleaning of the room was perfect, the gym and spa good and also the breakfast was very good! The building is very charming and historical, few min walking from Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. If you are thinking to visit Prague, Augustine is the best choice, they know how to cuddle and impress you! Thank you for everything, hope to stay with you again!

Amazing hotel. The breakfast is outstanding, it goes beyond a continental and offers a la carte options as well as the buffet. The egg white omlette is outstanding. The beds are on the firmer side but the bathroom makes up for everything with heated floors, rain shower and spectacular bathtub. The staff is exceptionally helpful and has excellent recommendations.

Outstanding hotel. I came her first for business and liked it so much, decided to bring my family. This is a large hotel that behaves like a boutique. Very attentative staff, courteous, and always there when you need something. Rooms are beautifully appointed and bathrooms are luxurious. Good communication with hotel pre-arrival and concierge was very helpful and provided some interesting off the beaten path spots to try. We had spa treatments and they were top quality ad very thorough enjoyed that very much. The spa is small so recommend to make reservations in advance. The gym is also small but sufficient for a workout with shower/steam/sauna nearby. Very centrally located to everything you would want to do in Prague. Highly recommended.

A upscale hotel but casual, good facilities, nice garden to walk in with restored architecture from St Thomas 1285AD as part of the grounds. The dinning hall is gothic from from the military leader estate of the Czech emperor. The food and service is serious. The staff are helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Stayed at hotel for a weekend. Service from staff was excellent. They were courteous, prompt, and very knowledgeable about local restaurants and tourist activities. From the checkin to checkout, staff did a wonderful job. The hotel itself is interesting setup. Use to be a monastery which effects layout. The entrance to the hotel is a little hard to find at first, but I was told by a tour guide that in Prague, business must use the original entrances and can not create new ones to keep cities historic charm. The inside is all modern with very nice finishing. The rooms are comfortable, but don’t have many windows (again because it can only make limited changes to exterior). But the view from the one window I did had was great. Picture of Prague castle attached. I would definitely recommend considering the Augustine if coming to Prague. Great location, staff and facilities.

Absolutely a must stay location! The hotel and staff are absolutely incredible and the location is perfect. You must try the St. Thomas beer as well.

We stayed here over my wife's birthday and the hotel left a wonderful torte in the room for her. The hotel is quite nice and is in a working monastery. The rooms were great and fairly large especially for a European capital city. The location couldn't be better. Close enough to everything but not quite on the main path so it's still quite.

Really nice hotel converted from a monastery. Rooms and beds are very quiet and comfortable. Staff is good. They serve a beer in the bar that is brewed from the recipe of the monks that once resided there. Definitely try it.

One of my favorite hotels. It has an amazing old-world feel, with lots of new conveniences. Just walking down the main entry path to the courtyard, you feel a lot more relaxed. The staff are excellent. Very attentive, very friendly. The breakfast is wonderful, and great every day. The grounds themselves are excellent. Quite a few good places to sit outside, have a drink and unwind. The bar is very well appointed, (has 19th century Frescoes on the ceiling) and they even have their own brand of beer, thats quite good. The rooms are very nice, heated tile bathrooms, good views of the city, decently insulated from noise, and very comfortable.

Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Prague. Being a Starwood property it certainly lives up to the luxury chain's standard of service, and modern amenities. Rooms are very large even for Prague! I believe our suite was around 700-800 sq ft. Very comfortable beds, windows that open entirely. The property was in the best location it could possibly be waking distance to major sights and the Charles Bridge. Full service spa with a hot tub/steam sauna however the property did not have a pool. Courtyards were absolutely gorgeous, landscaped with flowers and natural greens. The breakfast restaurant is a must, and you can sit outside on the courtyard if weather permits! Also the hotel provided umbrellas you can take with you for the day while you are sight seeing. This was a lovely added touch for us as it rained our entire stay and we did not come prepared. Thank you to all the Augustine staff for making our stay truly memorable.

About US$300/night, about the only thing bad is the outside which if you judge a book by its cover would give you the impression the hotel is worn and dated. Have also seen better outdoor courtyards as the grass and foliage is not even close to be considered perfectly manicured. Other than that, the staff is absolutely 5. Was blown away with the attention received at check-in and was equally amazed throughout stay. The room was magnificent, one of the top 1-2 rooms I have stayed in during my travels through Europe. Truly one the highlights of the hotel along with the restaurant. The hotel chef is a celebrity, judge on Top Shelf Czech and the food he serves here is superb. Would securely stay again.

Great hotel. Great staff. Great food. Awesome location! 5 min walk to Prague castle and less to Charles bridge. Make sure you don't get a room near the street because the tram shakes the rooms.

Staff was wonderful. Room was nice, but not as impressive as I was expecting from the other photos online. Certainly nothing to complain about. Really, given the price it would have been three stars, but the staff truly were exceptionally good. Was my first time in Prague, so I don't know if all hotel staff are that helpful, or if the people at the Augustine are outliers, but I would recommend staying there as long as money is not a concern. It was almost 10x some of the other hotels I saw listed, but it was definitely nicer than those. I don't know if it was 10x nicer though. It was easily double what I've paid for a comparable room in London or Berlin, to put it in perspective, and the breakfast that was included was nothing to write home about (which none of the other European hotels I've stayed in included). That being said, the breakfast was not worth the extra 120-140 Euros a night over say the Maritim Berlin. It's in a terrific neighborhood, very safe, very convenient, and close to the castles and the metro. Housekeeping was very diligent, and in general the facilities were very nice, though I skipped the tour when I first arrived due to exhaustion. I would strongly recommend being shown around though, it is a large place, and you can easily miss a lot of the nicer parts if you don't know where to look. Even after staying ten days I still hadn't stumbled on all of it.

Beyond my expectations, one of the best hotels I have stayed at, ever. An incredible staff and wonderful service. A great quiet location in the heart of Prague. I asked Michal, the concierge to purchase a painting for me I fell in love with by an artist on the Charles Bridge. I had gone back 3 times to purchase the painting but the artist was not there. I felt so sad. Michal located the artist and shipped it back to me in the States. I was thrilled, have it hanging in my living room. There is a reason this hotel gets booked up, we almost did not get to stay there.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location, 1 block away from Charle's bridge, under the castle but in a very quiet area. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I would totally recommend!

Travelers, if you don't have money for the suite, my advise is to find another hotel. Standard rooms are very noisy, it's very hard to sleep. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel is nice and solid elegance, stability, perfect, great, good location. I have stayed in many hotels around the world, this is the best I have stayed in hotels. Outdoor garden breakfast is very upscale, pub beer is very special.

Booked a room on starwood points and upgraded it. All I have to say is all around wow. What a hotel, beautiful. Service is amazing, Since we were upgraded to a suite we had a butler. He made me business cards for my stay which was pointless but fun. Fantastic experience.

Lovely hotel in a converted 14th century monastery. Full of character, lovely high end room with a stunning bathroom (loved the underfloor heating and walk in shower). The hotel is situated in the quiet Mala Strana quarter close to the Charles bridge.

A hotel located in a former monastery, is already a good idea. The spacious and luxurious rooms is a plus. Location not far from the Center but not in the crowd, it's the top.

Best luxury hotel in Prague bar none. It's not cheap but if you want excellence then this is the place to come to. Been visiting Prague for last 12 years and since this place opened I never stay anywhere else.
