We had a lovely stay here in a spacious, air conditioned room. We especially enjoyed the enormous bed and decently sized bathtub. Breakfast was also very good. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Lovely hotel! Very close to the city centre! Rooms are very nice, beds are huge! Staff very helpful. Breakfast is good, they offer a complimentary snack between 12-6pm which is a good selection. I would 100% recommend and return to this hotel when visiting Prague again.

Good location. Close to transit and walking distance to many attractions. The room was clean and well appointed. All the employees I encountered were friendly and helpful.

A great choice of hotel, for those appreciates convenience, comfort, and time: good location, friendly Russian-speaking staff, cozy rooms, there are rooms with panoramic views of Prague. The rooms have a bath set (shampoos, gels, body lotions, soap), slippers, tea set with a large selection of tea, coffee, sugar, cream, which is replenished daily. The rooms are warm. Delicious breakfasts, and during the day you can eat free of charge with the remaining sandwiches and pastries. There's also a coffee machine. Even in some 5' Prague coffee machine is paid! There is a luggage storage room, the reception has scales for weighing the suitcase. There is a summer roof terrace with steep views of the city. Of all the little pluses there is a great opinion about the hotel and the obviousness of the choice!

Nice one, just was surprised by an extra little money I had to pay upon my check out time as a tax thing! I never been told about them when I paid my full reservation online, but over all I still recommend it.

The hotel is located next to Vaclavskaya Square for 5 minutes on foot to reach the Charles Bridge it takes about 30-40 minutes! The train station is 900m. The hotel is clean, clean every day, the design matches the photos presented! In the room, the kettle of tea and coffee, daily updated bathroom accessories! We stayed on the 4th floor — it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast:4-5 types of sausage and cheese, vegetables/fruits all of several kinds, hot 5-6 kinds, juices and coffee-tea-all delicious, satisfying, every day is supplemented with something new. And that's not a little important with 7.00 am and until the evening food is present, ie you can eat at any time for free! It's very convenient! Although we had lunch and dinner at the hotel's annexes, on the first day we checked in, we arrived early, by the way settling in at 14.00, then we just had a coffee and checked in! I advise this hotel! We had to be near the center of a clean, Russian-speaking staff, a normal breakfast! All this is present in this hotel! The very thing for Europe! Advise!

Well, here we visited the beautiful Prague. Stayed at the Archibald City Hotel. Satisfied with all. The room was just great. Cleaning every day. Breakfasts are gorgeous. The staff are friendly and speak Russian language. I especially want to mention the girl at the reception named zuzana. We are very happy and next time we will definitely stay only in this hotel!

This hotel was lovely. Located within walking distance of many of the attractions like the astronomical clock. We were able to walk everywhere from here. There are restaurants in the area and a store right on the corner. They provide breakfast and dinner as well. Free Wi-Fi. My only complaint was that the water in the tub ran out so slow that it was impossible to take a good shower.

Breakfast wasnt worth the money. You can get much better for such a price. Comfy rooms and clean beds. Good spot close to the metro. Kinda of last chance to choose with 80$ a night. The girl in the reseption tried to fool us and give us cheaper room than we paid for and when we stood our ground she gave us what we paid for.

Nice hotel, friendly receptionist who recommended a good place to eat. Hotel was a little hot as heating was set high but otherwise clean and tidy.

Well-located Hotel. In our case although we only had the breakfast they allow us to use the Self service for free during the rest of the day. They don't speak Spanish. Very large bed. Eye with the tub that is very high when leaving it is high the level between the floor of the bath and the bath. Silent.

Lovely hotel. Warm and very clean. Reception good. They have a selection of sandwiches and hot drinks through out the day which was nice.

We have just come back from a 2 night stay with friends. We couldn't fault the hotel, the staff were friendly, the rooms were modern and had everything you needed. The cleanliness was excellent. I loved the fact that there was tea and coffee available for the hotel guests in the breakfast area, we were even able to use this on checkout day when we came back from a day out to meet our taxi. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The room was relatively fresh, from the feeling. And the Windows shielded the incredible noise of the four-lane road at the door quite well. But that was also the case with the positive aspects.
The air conditioning gluckerte at night when it was out. The curtains were not wide enough for the window, so that there was always a gap open. The towel holder was incorrectly mounted so that it fell directly in normal use. The cupboards are too short for normally folded T-shirts, so that the sliding door does not go if you do not cross the stack dirt. But it is too short for the closet, so that a gap remains open anyway. The cleaning is not cleaned every day, at least not everything. For example, the free coffee was only randomly refilled and used tableware only occasionally exchanged.
The biggest joke though is the "restaurant" in which, for example, Breakfast is served. There's a hospital canteen in the ' 70s that has more charm (tablecloths? Decoration? Superfluous frills…). And the waitresses do not serve, but stand in the corner and try to avoid having verbal contact with the guests. The coffee is only available by self-service from a bad vending machine, which also does not have the same coffee variants every day. And the fruit for the fruit salad had to be prepared for themselves every other day (E. G. With bowl Geachtelte kiwi, orange columns with bowl, directly in quarter sliced pineapple slices with stalk and shell, …).

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The rooms are large and very clean. Upon arrival the room was equipped with a kettle, tea and a few cosmetic items. The people working in the hotel are all very kind and helpful. They speak flawless English, which makes communication very easy. Breakfast was provided in a large variety and extraordinary quality. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. P. S: the hotel has a terrace on the roof with a beautiful view on Prague and the castle.

Comparing its price to its destination and location, I will definitely come again.

The hotel is not a luxury hotel, but the location is reasonably good, the breakfast buffet is also good, and the rooms are clear and nice. It is a good option in Prague.

Good, clean and simple hotel… price a little bit too high for "basic" equipment. Excellent location! 5 minutes to wenzel-square.

Within easy walking distance to the old part of town, this hotel is very clean with spacious rooms. The staff is friendly and competent in speaking English. If you need tickets for a concert, just ask the front desk; they will take care of all the arrangements. I really enjoyed my four-day stay at Archibald.

Hotel excellent, staff very attentive, room very nice, quiet. The terrace on the 7th floor : it is too top, with the possibility to eat there, including a Caesar salad which comes to 4€50! In addition, I greatly appreciated the little touches : tea, coffee, milk and kettle in the room, everything you need for the toilet in the bathroom (shampoo, lotion, shower gel, cotton, …) and snacks and hot and cold drinks free from 12 hours to 16 hours. I say bravo and if I could it is there I will go back…

In Prague for the third time. This is the best hotel from those which were before. On your next visit don't see any other options. Will recommend to all friends and acquaintances.

Very good reception, bedroom and bathroom more as well. Had breakfast with a great choice and something for all tastes, l'hotel authorising officers available for l'recording of the flights, the only problem we n'have not been able to gain access to the roof terrace overlooking the city. Located 5 dakika ' walk from the city centre (astronomical clock) near to metro 1 minute 30. No problem j'returns to it.

Didnt find anything bad about this hotel… my stay was totally good. Near all the atractions, very friendly atmosphere, good breakfast, clean room. Realy nothing bad about it.

Excellent hotel to visit central Prague and close to all places of interest.

The Hotel is modern and nice. Above all it has a nice rooftop terrace with bar where you can see a beautiful glimpse of Prague. Located in the central area.

In principle, a very good hotel for the Czech Republic. Was in this hotel in 2012. The rooms are new, although very small. For Prague, this is normal. The Breakfast is standard European. It's certainly not the Caribbean and Turkey with Egypt, but at the same time to eat before a long-haul trip to Prague is always possible. Located in Prague 1, 5 minutes from Wenceslas square. There are a bunch of bars and shops. Also in direct proximity to interesting places that must be visited is the Museum watch, even the station and much else. In this hotel the only thing I did not like that it was very very cold in March. Battery is standard, as in Russia, the electric heaters are not enough, and from the air-conditioning system was apparent on the full. Well, but more active and clung to its second half, to keep warm) ) ) ) ) )

Absolutely brilliant perfect location close to everything. Rooms big and inviting cleaned every day a spotless hotel breakfast lovely with lots of choice all the staff very helpful from cleaners to bar staff and reception very helpful and friendly a very big 100% prague is a lovely place to visit lots of cheap bars and restaurants if you stay away from the square lots to do.

We stayed 2 nights in August 2014. Pleasant staff, very nice room, very large breakfast buffet. It's not far from historical old town (by tram, station stepanska is located 2 streets away). Bonus : there's a little skybar on the roof of the hotel. From there, you really enjoy a very nice view of old town and the castle.

It is a very good choice for visiting Prague. We use it to taking advantage of a trip to visit a fellow Erasmus. We handle the entire reservation by email. Applied us a web fare that included one night non-refundable payment in advance.
The hotel is within walking distance of everything. The Wenceslas Square (connection with metro — tram) is less than 5 minutes walking along two perpendicular streets to the hotel, there is a police station in a "Kakovsva", the other "Ve Smeckách" there are several "cabarets", houses of appointments, which curiously coexist with another police station, through which you can pass without any problems. If it gives you shelter through the street with that environment, take the other.
Room 612 surprised me. Very complete; It was very new and modern. The amenities as in any hotel in that category in Spain, and with its European flavor of pitcher / coffee maker's water to prepare tea or coffee. As American touch a new testament in the bedside table. In the closet clothes brush, sponge for footwear, sewing and safety deposit box. The full bathroom with hair dryer, SOAP, shampoo, gel, cotton and Cap discs pads (in triplicate, since the room was for three people). Very complete minibar. Television with several channels, mostly Germans and two chains in Spanish. Very quiet, gave to a courtyard lights and barely felt neighbors or traffic noises.

My wife and I spent a week here in the Fall of 2010. The location is fabulous, the decor is very modern. Americans will need to know a couple of things: like most European hotels, the beds are *very* hard in comparison to what we are accustomed to, and the coffee at the hotel barely deserves to be called that. Ask the staff for an extra duvet to pad the mattress, and buy some decent coffee from the little shop just up the block. You're a 10 minute walk from Charles Bridge, a four minute walk from Wenceslas Square, and the nearest metro station is right there at the southeast corner of Wenceslas.

I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and people I know. Staff were very pleasant and the rooms were very clean. For four star hotel there should be at least a small restaurant. Thank you Monika Drevnakova.

The hotel is very central and is very comfortable. The neighborhood is regular because the street is "women of company" and much sex shop, but it is quiet and there are many bars for dinner cheaper q in the Centre. Full breakfast, but little variety.

Visited 9th — 13th Sept. Room 508, our airconditioning was working although perhaps a little noisy. Didn't have much need of the receptionist so difficult to judge friendliness/rudeness. Hotel breakfast ok. Close to Wencelsas Sq and walking distance to all the sights except perhaps the castle (although this isn't too far. We were just too lazy). Good sports bar around the corner called The Pack (run by a lovely young chinese couple). Also Banditos on Melounova does a good English Breakfast.

Airconditioning did not work all the 3nights and 4 day we where there to stay. Rooms were hot and stuffy and you cannot open the windows as there is a noisy road in front of the hotel. The receptionist David is rude and unhelpful. Give this hotel a miss.

My Wife and I stayed at the Archibald City Hotel for 3 nights in Late Sep 09. Clean, quiet (for a hotel pretty close to the city centre) with a large, comfortable-but-firm bed. The hotel only does Bed and Breakfast and breakfast is fairly continental standard; not for vegetarians, but plentiful. The sister hotel 'At the Charles Bridge' does a pretty good dinner (get there early and go for a seat on the riverfront) and a 30% discount voucher was included in the greeting paperwork making it well worth a visit. Free Wi-Fi and a couple of internet computers in the lobby. 5 minutes walk or 10 minutes stroll from Wencelas Square (long rectangle really) and 15 from the old town square and clock. Staff speak good English and seem typical Czech, which means quite polite and reserved, but are very helpful and informative, calling taxis and printing off boarding passes cheerfully. We used the Volkswagen minibus service from the airport — shared with 4 others but cheaper than the taxis — and the driver gave us a business card for a cheap return run and was on time for the pick-up. Buses and trams require tickets purchased from machines at the stops.

The hotel is nice. Is very close to the Wenceslas square. Staff attentive and charming. Liked.

Price is not the services rendered at all. Staff is extremely
unfriendly and uncouth. The air conditioner (cooling and heating) could or wanted to be repaired during 4 days — room temperature rose to unpleasant 26, 5 ° C the mechanics are unusable and understand absolutely nothing of the technology! Window can be opened only by staff.
Cleanliness and breakfast buffet were i. O.
We will never recommend this House.
