Hotel la Cuesta Hotel

I didn’t like the accommodation at all and badly lacking water, you don’t have water to bathe, very dirty old man full of cockroaches, my bed had a hole that left me in pain the entire trip. The service is very bad at dawn I stayed two days outside without anyone opening and they still make a face because you arrive at dawn. They take your money without your consent. As soon as you book the room. Breakfast is not bad every day. That's right! many times you go there and you don’t just have days that don’t do and it doesn’t matter if you paid for accommodation with breakfast. I left a towel in the bathroom instead of asking if it was mine, they took it and washed it and were leaving it at their home for personal use that is next to the hotel. The hotel is falling apart. There is no outlet nearby as it announces the announcement of the bed and there is no fan as it also No me gustó el alojamiento en absoluto y faltaba mucho agua, no tienes agua para bañarte, viejo muy sucio y lleno de cucarachas, mi cama tenía un agujero que me dejó con dolor todo el viaje. El servicio es muy malo al amanecer Estuve dos días afuera sin que nadie abriera y todavía hacen una mueca porque llegas al amanecer. Toman su dinero sin su consentimiento. Tan pronto como reserve la habitación. El desayuno no está mal todos los días. ¡es eso mismo! muchas veces vas allí y no solo tienes días que no lo haces y no importa si pagaste el alojamiento con desayuno.

We came here three times during our trip through Costa Rica because of stopovers in San Jose. First time our credit card got stucked in an ATM — the stuff was super helpful and went to the official bank with us to get it back. Generelly spoken super charming Hostel, very friendly people and big rooms with extra blankets if it gets cold at night. Can recommend it!

I was asked to remove my comment from Expedia from the owner but I will not and in fact will express my opinion on fb as well because this hostel… not hotel is horrible. I am 1 of 30 negative reviews on Expedia. My bank is having to recover money from the hotel because the owner still has done nothing to rectify the issues. Apr 7, 2018
Worse hotel I have been in in all of Costa Rica.
After a 14 hour bus trip, we arrived in San Jose to stay for 2 days prior to returning to our home in Jaco Costa Rica and at 8pm, when check in is at 3, the room was dirty and bed was unmaid and smelled like sex. We had to wait for another room by the man that was working who was very rude also. He failed to show us where the bathroom was located or give us keys. The new room had a broken fan, dead bugs on the bed and dirty sheets. In the middle of the night, the slats on the bed broke and I fell to the floor and hurt my back We decided to stay because I had an appointment with the US Embassy at 11 am the next and my 8 year old was tired. The next day we were offered a better room with private bathroom so we packed our bags then were told nope that room was not available but were moved to another room. The new room was smaller, no fan, no TV and again no keys were given to us. There was no hot water in either shower and one bathroom was out of order. I was offered a discount and refund and have yet to receive either and spent the entire day in bed with a hurt back.
