Surf Inn Hermosa Hotel

We stayed at the end of July, we were staying in the room Everything was very clean and in good condition except for a coffee maker and a curtain (minimum things that are nothing compared to everything else) all the utensils and amenities.
If you are looking to cook on your own, there are supermarkets less than 10 minutes away by vehicle.
In the common areas everyone sheltered the distance and there was no noise of any kind, it is quite quiet. The other guests were quiet, they maintained a respectful atmosphere.
The pool is medium sized (semi-covered) and there was no problem with the space since the place was at 50% of its capacity.
The restaurant next door (Vida Hermosa) has good service, sells cocktails at ₡3900 and typical breakfast at ₡3100, they give you to take it without any problem entering either by the main entrance or by the beach (just steps from where you sunbathe at Surf Inn).
The beach clean, all very relaxed, you just have to take into account that you should be careful as the sand is very "loose" and there is quite a swell (the lifeguard was attentive to tourists).
The help and attention Christina gave us by msjs, the letter and the response to our questions was excellent. We had some setbacks due to restrictions, however she always had patience and helped us a lot with booking/date options.

Fairly nice place. Clean but dated. Surfing four star. Music next door cranks up volume at night but inside is fairly quiet. Local restaurants are expensive even more than Hawaii. Expenses of hotel are good, but the food prices would keep me from coming back!

I just spent 3 weeks in Costa Rica this Jan. I couldn't be happier with my stay at the Surf Inn Hermosa. The rooms and facilities were clean and well taken care of as was I by the staff and owner, Christina, who were all amazingly welcoming and eager to help with anything I needed. It is refreshing to feel so at home when you're traveling — especially since I was traveling alone. Oh, by the way, the surf out front is unbelievable! Thank you, Christina and crew, I had a great time! I will be back.

Fun place. Surfing competition.

Loved this place. The small pool was perfect to jump into to cool off after the beach. Excellent staff, beautiful atmosphere and beach accesss and the rooms had perfect working AC and updated rooms with a fridge, coffee pot, plates/cups and silverware and a granite bar top area and countertops. We stayed here for three nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Is about an hour to Manuel Antonio and a short drive to Jaco. Looking forward to one day coming back!

Doesn’t look like much from the road but Surf Inn is right in the heart of an awesome beach town. Cannot beat the price or location. It has everything you need in the room and everything else is within footsteps. Immediately feel like one of the locals. Also Christina is easy to book with and Maria is the best. Don’t tell too many people or I won’t be able to book again to come back!

Great place to stay. Right on the beach and close to Jaco. Staff is awesome!
