I love this hotel! We have stayed there twice and ask for it by name. The gardens around the hotel are absolutely gorgeous! They are recent beautiful updates. Our room was spacious and with more space than we thought we would have! Huge! It is very clean. There are a great outdoor seating areas and animal viewing areas. We love the hot tub and a beautiful pool. We also love the cute kids playhouse with even a working toilet! Kevin, Elizabeth, and Isaac are wonderful! The breakfast is generous and so delicious! Fresh fruit and wonderful chef made meals. Delicious dinner options as well.

Super recommended is a cozy place, beautiful super clean, delicious food and excellent staff.

It is my favorite hotel on this trip to 🇨🇷, the facilities are very nice, very green, the whole atmosphere is inspiring, very pro-environment, there is a jacuzzi. Lili at the reception is very warm and attentive. You have the center 10 min walk. Recommended.

I want to thank all of you at Poco a Poco hotel for giving us such a great service from beginning to end. The front desk staff was very nice since the beginning received us with a nice drink. The hotel is located in a very nice area of Monte Verde very private and quiet, with all the best views of the mountains. There is a Centro comercial across the street you can visit. Also theres a little town like few minutes down the hill you can visit and get any souvenirs for awesome prices, and bakeries close by. The food was awesome at Otocuma restaurant. Roberto and me enjoyed our stay very well. We loved that hidden trail you guys have we did it twice. Also I have to mention my massage at your hotel by Alonso was awesome. He was very professional and addressed all requests for my massage. I have to say this was an awesome experience. Thank you all the staff. We will come back! 💞

Really good hotel. Didn't have time for a spa. We did a zip line, bridges, butterfly and humming bird park. The room and pool area was very good. Breakfast was good too order off menu.

Very friendly staff. The restaurant was exceptional! Their breakfast is really good, too and complimentary. The pool was warm and the hot tub cool! Beautiful sunset. Rooms are nice. Did have some insects but imagine this comes with the territory. Would go back.

The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice nothing special, but if you have a problem and you must fix it with the manager there if I tell them that they will spend a very bad time. Our room in the middle of a storm short that came on Saturday genus two falls of water through the ceiling lights that had to move room and send to dry the clothes of my husband who swam in water, and at what time of pay charged us 100 percent of everything and not apologetic we asked to speak with the manager and as I say the treatment was not at all pleasant. For everything else the hotel eata well. Thanks happy holidays to you all.

Its in a stunning location best to visit in tbe dry season, the staff are fantastic I know you pay a little extra for evening g meal but the food is amazing.

This was one of our favorite places to stay while visiting Costa Rica! The staff are incredibly friendly and make this feel like a home away from home. This was perfect for our romantic getaway, but also seems like a great place for families as well. It is close to several great restaurants, and their own restaurant was fantastic also. We also appreciated their sustainable practices. We will be visiting Monteverde again and when we do, we will be staying here again.

This hotel is spectacular! I would 100% recommend them to anyone. They are also conveniently located a 10 min walk into Downtown Monteverde!

My 6 year old little boy and I had the privelage of staying here for the past week. Honeslty, I cant say enough great things about this hotel. First and foremost, the staff was so accomodating and friendly. From the check in desk to the wait staff in the restaurant to the house keeping everyone so was nice and helpful. The grounds of the property were very well maintained and beautiful. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. The covering is a HUGE bonus as it does rain quite a bit in Monteverde. The front desk staff helped us book excursions and taxis which was a great bonus and everything we needed we got almost immediately. The hotel is located in a great location across from a market with a grocery store and an easy 7 minute walk in to town for local restaurants and shops. We transferred over to Arenal for the last leg of our trip and even though the Arenal Springs Spa and Resort is a step up and a lot fancier, my son and I both agreed we like Poco a Poca better. We miss the people of Monteverde and Poco a Poco the most. The resort life is nice but love the realness and culture Santa Elana and Monteverde offered. For our first time to Costa Rica I feel it was a great success and can recommend visiting here for your family holiday or vacation. Thank you to all the staff at Poco a Poco for making my son and I feel right at home and helping us make some of the best memories we'll have for a lifetime. Love this place, people were very friendly and staff accodomating. We booked for two nights and decided to stay a third! We will be back!

The hotel is nice and modern. The location is convenient to Santa Elena. The staff was super. The only complaint, and it is big if you want a restful stay, is it is on a road where the local folks gun their loud motorcycles up the street EVERY night (actually day and night). The constant loud traffic noise in the “cloud forest” was a real downer.

I love this hotel and all they stand for in terms of sustainability and their message against animal abuse and wildlife conservation. The room we stayed in was great, food was good. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Will be back.

Good value for money Hotel Not recommended.

Nice hotel near Santa Elena. The common areas are cute and the pool is great. The actual room we stayed in was okay — it looked a little run down. There is no AC. There was a screen to the door on the balcony and a little screen next to the door to our room. However, there was also a window inside the shower that did NOT have a screen which sort of defeats the purpose of having screens elsewhere. Our room was outdoor from both sides. The breakfast was really good!

Parts of this place are great, the others bang average. The reception staff and location were perfect; the staff in the restaurant and the noise in the room from the wind (sounded like a Cat 5 hurricane most of the night), not so much.

Loved it. Great view of the valley and the fresh wind all through the day and night was so soothing. Great breakfast with fresh natural fruits and vegetables locally sourced.

Great food, staff very friendly, we only spent one night there, but the food was excellent.

A great place, one of the nicer ones we stayed in. Not all personnel was friendly though and for the number of people they accommodate there isn't nearly enough parking space. The continental breakfast was very good but the local dishes were not as good as the other places we visited. But in general it was a very pleasant stay at a central location.

Feb. 2018 very nice service at the reception. Rooms newly renovated, great bathroom, nice pool and heated whirlpool. Breakfast is served, is sufficient. Good location for the city centre. Recommended!

Nice hotel, Central (hang) location and yet quiet, good breakfast, nice restaurant, whirlpool and normal, nice, spacious rooms, friendly staff.

Hotel in the midst of nature, a really interesting eco Lodge. Restaurant with great food, we tried it both for breakfast and for dinner and we enjoyed it.

The place has 2 pools covered by a roof and a Ibe completely indoors, you enjoy a nice view and the rooms are nice, the hotel restaurant we ate well but as everywhere around here you spend a lot.

Beautiful spot in Monteverde with lush vegetation. The fast zip lines are sheer adrenaline and the hike through the National Park Trails is a beautiful adventure. Surveys Hollow trees of several hundred years one of them you can climb inside.

Good location close to the local town. Friendly staff and a nice jacuzzi with drink service. The pool was not that inviting and the bar in the pool was not open.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Close to the city center to go to dinner or have a drink. The breakfast included with the room is fine.

Descent hotel with friendly stuff. Great location. With a beautiful garden. A few downside points: no fridge and low to no internet connection in the room. Liked it overall. Would definitely come back.

Comfortable rooms. Nice restaurant. We stayed in one of the older buildings, but it had an updated bathroom. Handy location on the edge of town but still within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shopping and just across the street from a supermarket, restaurants and pharmacy. The only complaint was the hot tub was not very hot, but that seems to be the norm in Costa Rica.

Cute boutique hotel — close to town for some exploring. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have liked some more amenities in the room itself.

Online showed an $86 rate. Upon arrival quoted $145. Very small dated room, pool broken, lots of road noise and dogs barking all night. Cancelled our second night and booked an AirB&B at La Guayaba and we are thrilled with the hospitality and quality at La Guayaba.

Great place to stay, close to the main area of the city! Rooms were spacious and nice.

The hotel is great. Very nice service, great food (the fresh juices are a dream), beautiful covered pool area with Jacuzzi and stylishly decorated rooms. Only the bathroom could tolerate a small modernisation.

The hotel is very well. In Monteverde rain much so it chose because the pool was covered. Very well, clean, big room. The breakfast is not firm but you train you want, very good.

Very nice hotel for a stay in Monteverde. The rooms are very nice, spacious, clean, with air conditioning and a bathroom with hot water.
The food that the restaurant is very tasty, and the place is pretty cozy, although prices are maybe a little expensive.
Overall, a good experience.

Great luxury at great value. Located right by the city center gives it a unique advantage. We could have a good choice of restaurants and tour operators all within walking distance. Any other hotel would have meant being stuck with lesser choices or go for taxi / car rental every time. Facilities heee are great too. Gym, jacuzzi, movie rental (in case you get bored with the rainy climate) and a live music show almost each night!
