A wonderful hotel in an amazing setting. Waking up to flocks of parrots in a large, private and well appointed bungalow is just the start. The Bistro and bar is staffed with friendly and attentive Ticos. I'll definitely be back!

Eat here! Whatever you do turism, work, study… doesn't matter. My girlfriend and I stopped here on the way to dreams las mareas and was the best restaurant with the best scene we had in the country. Affordable which is difficult to say for less scenic places in the area. We had the chicken quesadilla with homemade natilla and pico as well as fettuccini alfreddo with chicken and fresh basil. Again, the food better than any italian food found in the US. Must come if you pass by.

Nice hotel with a magnificent view of the lake. You can swim in the swimming pool while admiring the view. Parking is safe. The restaurant is really good with local and international food, reasonably prices. The room was unexpected. While the decoration was really nice, it's more a family room that one for friends: the 4 single beds were in one room, overall little to no space for luggages. Two showers but with glass doors and you need to go through the main room to get to the other room, so… overall, very little privacy.

Horrible, yes it has a great view and is in a peaceful, but the bugs are just horrible, couldn't sleep at night, got stung well over 40 times, and food is okay.

La Mansion Arenal is a little piece of heaven. We stayed in the Junior Suite and since our last stay, the furniture was replaced by beautiful wooden furniture, Indian style. So nice. Drinking your coffee on the terrace while the hummingbirds zoom around your head, is indescribable. The view of the lake is never boring, not for a minute. Every moment of the day the colors are different. And then the sunset, rarely seen anything so beautiful. Amazing. The staff is so friendly. They take time to listen to your questions. The tours they proposed were incredible. Also the food was wonderful. So pure, so rich of flavors. Thanks Peggy for your suggestions, and we will be back.

Its an amazing place to stay, amazing sunset and morning views, song birds, geckos… you feel isolated from the other guests, at least we did in cabin 27. The rooms were vary large, warm and inviting, I felt at home. They have a heated as well as an unheated pool! There is a hidden knob to turn the jets on in the heated pool. There food was great and the milkshakes! Staff was super helpful in planning our days. Great recommendations and knowledge of everything we asked about.

We had a wonderful experience with our private bungalow, excellent food, nice staff, and peaceful lake view setting. As good as it gets.

Restaurant has combination of great food, attentive service, and spectacular lake view. Dine Al fresco and watch the sunset. Salads excellent, pasta heavenly, along with traditional tico dishes and seafood. Prices reasonable. Premises lovely. Clean. Very private individual villas. Don't miss out.

The stay at the hotel was excellent. The restaurant was reasonably priced and every meal was great, breakfast and dinner for four adults over five days. The owner was very helpful and friendly assisting us with activity recommendations and calling ahead to confirm availability. We were travelling as a family, six of us total and the room/cabin provided more than enough space. We were very happy with our stay there.
