My husband and I were spending a couple of days celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it was beautiful. We made special memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. The hotel abounds with awe-inspiring tropical nature, birds, sublime scenery with Arenal Volcano view, magnificent landscapes, and a laid-back attitude to making the most of it all. What a lovely environment you get to work in every day. The rooms are spotless and pleasant with gardens: incredible customer service, and an excellent location for visiting La Fortuna.

Super recommended, a beautiful place where you can enjoy the beauty of its landscapes an imposing volcano, really beautiful. The customer service, the service is super good, and the food delicious.

The place is very nice, the attention is amazing, the people who work are the owners so the treatment is extremely nice, the rooms very clean, the food delicious, it is a great place to relax and at the same time have a nice time, it is very central so you can do many things.

Friendly staff, lodges are clean and big enough. Airco and beds are fine.
Restaurant is only open for breakfast, but enough restaurants in the area.

Went on a 9 day trip to costa rica, stayed 2 nights of that trip at this inn. The paths are bumpy and broken, but the landscaping and view are nice. It’s very close to lots of surrounding activities. But, our room was room 2, connected to room 1. At first, it appeared pretty nice, outdated, but decent. A lot of problems surfaced after that. Our toilet was completely broken and wouldn’t flush. It wasn’t clogged, it was an issue with the system itself. The toilet came close to overflowing a couple times. After our first night we warned the staff about the toilet and they did nothing. That night, we were forced to call again and have a plumber come again. While he was working in the bathroom, a giant cockroach came running into the room and up the wall. They determined the room was unfit, and moved us to another room. This room had a functioning toilet, but also had cockroaches the size of a finger. Other than that experience, it was alright. Breakfast was pretty much the same daily. Burnt pancakes. Reused desserts from previous nights (they even took the leftovers of two desserts and mixed them to create a “new” dessert, then tried to serve it as if we couldn’t tell). AC works. Fridge kinda works. Tv works but limited channels. Wifi sucks. Comes with complimentary shower products (but you can’t take them because they’re attached to the walls). Not the best, but it worked. Mostly.

Best place for the price in la fortuna. It's off the beaten path. If you're trying to save money on your hotel and want to do more activities then this is the place for you!

Our bungalow was nice and the AC worked great. The pool was very pleasant and the staff is polite and helpful. The viewed are amazing. Sitting at the pool looking at a volcano is mind blowing. What a place.

They need to figure out a way to keep lizards out of the roof it scared me and my friends got locked out… figure that out but other than that it’s amazing.

Beautiful, fantastic, hot and relaxing place, I was really surprised by the great variety of plants and ornaments of the place.

This hotel was set in gardens and had the weather been better would have had views of the Arenal volcano. The room was spacious and had coffee making facilities. The swimming pool was in a pleasant setting in the gardens. This hotel only serves breakfast and has no bar or facilities for other meals and the fridge in reception only has soft drinks and no beer. The nearest resraurant is only a five minute walk away, but to get to it you have to walk along a busy unlit road. It was only on our return that we found there was an uneven pavement on the far side of the road. Take good torches! The receptionists were extremely helpful with Margarita arranging our transport to the waterfall and the thermal pools, both of which are well worth a visit. Be warned though, to get to the base of the waterfall you have to climb 500 steps, but you can swim in the (very cool! ) water in beautiful surroundings… and then climb the 500 steps back up. Hotel Arenal Country Inn is a little out of La Fortuna town, but if you don't feel like walking it is easy to get a taxi back to the hotel.

The hotel in general meets the expectations, the rooms are comfortable, the beds are excellent and the cleanliness and it is very good too. Some have a view of the Arenal. The whole complex is surrounded by beautiful parks and there is a very relaxing swimming pool. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Great place to rest in the fortune. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to guide and recommend places to visit and have lunch or dinner.

This beautiful resort is located few minutes from the little town of La Fortuna. It's very accessible and a great place to stay while visiting the Arenal Volcano and the area. We stayed at this resort for 3 nights. The resort is comprised of little bungalow houses that each hold two rooms. We found the rooms to be pretty small but nevertheless comfortable. The bathroom is a bit outdated but everything works well. The service at this resort though is top notch. One call to the front desk for either a hair dryer, additional towel or anything else and within minutes someone is at your door smiling "Pura Vida" The girl at the front (I didn't get her name) was amazingly helpful in letting us know of all available tours, making recommendations and booking last minute. The pool area is great. Breakfast is o. K. It gets a bit tiring after second day with limited choices but it's fine. The grounds are beautiful, green and you do feel like you are in the heart of a paradise. Overall a great stay!

The hotel is located 5 mins from downtown & free taxi when you eat at their restaurant called My Coffee, which has great food. The grounds are beautiful and well groomed. The staff is awesome, especially Rayna @ reception. The pool is warm & well maintained. Check this hotel out as you won't be disappointed!

Really dated rooms and facilities. We booked online and they initially put us in a room for four which was way too small — one double, a single, and a small pull out bed which looks like it hadn't been serviced in a while (see attached). This room didnt have screens on the windows either just panels so a bunch of bugs in the room. They did move us at midnight after we could finally contact them and the next room was a bit better but still smelled and felt very musky. I dont know why they didn't put us there in the first place. Breakfast was okay but plates and dishes were dirty. Pictures online are quite staged and/or very dated, the facility needs a big facelift. For the high prices they were charging I would recommend many other hotels since we stayed in two hotels (the hotel before this one didn't have availability).

Very quiet, large pool and one for children, Wi-Fi If you have hot water in the shower and in the pile, if you have a closet where you put your clothes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it, not the most luxurious place clearly, but in value for money, it is very good.

Very close to the volcano El Arenal and the village, very quiet 100% recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very basic, but proper and clean. You will find a small fridge, locker and open closet in your room. What more do you need? One downside: the water of the shower in our room was either boiling hot or freezing cold. In under 3 minutes you are in the center of La Fortuna, which is perfect.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. I loved having the little veranda outside the room. A great place to enjoy the gardens and listen to the birds. A great location for visiting La Fortuna and Arenal volcano.

I went with my girlfriend over the weekend and had a really nice time. It is a simple place but right in the price and the breakfast was what we liked most.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. About 3/4 mile from downtown but we liked being a little removed from all the hustle of the town. Breakfast was your typical Costa Rican fare with some fruit, rice/beans, meat and eggs. The pool was kept clean and there would have been nice views of the volcano if it's not clouded over.

Fixed feelings. Lovely grounds, very nice and accommodating staff, but small and dated rooms. Definitely not space for more than 3. And fairly "tired" interiors. We saw the newest completed rooms and they were much larger and nicer, so ask for them. Near town with out being in town, so that was a plus.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel because the cleaning staff steals from their guests! I went out for a tour and when I returned the perfume I just used that morning was gone. I complained at the front desk but nobody could help me. Also, the beds were very uncomfortable; I felt like I was sleeping on a rock.

The place is simple but nice. The rooms are comfortable and the pool meets its function, although for those who like to swim, may not be adequate. The breakfast offered, it may be inappropriate according to the tastes. If the positive experience should do one, it does not go directly to the hotel.

It is very nice, great view at the Arenal and a big pool. The a/c is very good and you have Wi-Fi on the whole area. I gave just three stars because it isn't so clean, but it's a lovely place to visit.
