This eco lodge is located 1 km from the Arenal Volcano and 2 km from hot springs. It features an extensive garden, tours and outdoor activities arrangement and free Wi-Fi throughout. The bungalows and cottages offer rustic décor, a desk, fan, wardrobe, wooden floors and a fridge. The bathrooms are private and come with bath, shower, hairdryer and toiletries. All accommodations feature garden and volcano views. Arenal Oasis Eco Lodge & Wildlife Refuge has an on-site restaurant serving local dishes and regional cuisine. Guests at this lodge can arrange activities as hiking to the Arenal Volcano, horseback riding, bird watching, rafting and night trek. There are also visits to the La Fortuna Waterfalls and River. This property is 3 km from a bus station and from La Fortuna de San Carlos Town Centre. Pros: Beautiful location. Cons: If you think you'll be even a little late to arrive, even though the website says that late arrivals (after 8pm) will be guaranteed, they're not. We tried calling the owner multiple times while we were driving to La Fortuna, and when we were finally able to reach him (a few hours after our initial attempts) to explain where we were and how quickly we could arrive to his location he became angry and told us that we'd have to find another hotel, and then he hung up on us. He didn't offer any viable solutions other than telling us to stay somewhere else (while charging us, no less). I wouldn't recommend staying here.
