Hotel close to the airport. Rooms overlooking a well of interior light. Original Architecture. Friendly staff Pity that for breakfast the extra slice of bread is to be paid. Otherwise I would have put 4 stars ✨.

Nice place to stay before getting a plane. Good location. Nice breakfast! Big rooms with AC. Would go back.

My bf and I stayed here for our first night since we got in late and this was near the airport. Friends recommended I stay in Alajuela because San Jose is more dirty and dangerous (locals told us this too). This hotel/area might look a bit sketch if you pull up late at night, but in the daytime it's right across from the central park and looks a lot more cheery. It's not glamorous, but it's fine for a night when you're just planning to go to sleep and then leave. The breakfast was delicious and the staff in the kitchen were awesome!

Small hotel for an arrival or a departure.
It is located in the heart of the city of Alajuela. Very shopping streets and possibility to see nearby ZOO AVE Park to see the birds in the vicinity, rare and beautiful.

This place is disgusting… the room stank like musk the ceiling fan squeaked, the noise was intolerable for sleep, suitcases rolling on the floor, water running from what sounded like a shower, then sounded like a washing machine, footsteps, the doors are looked 24/7 as there is no security and the area can be unsafe… I have no good comment as it was a total negative experience… barely slept at all.

A very clean, comfortable and centrally located hotel! The people are super friendly and but the restaurant Lady (she takes 5 ⭐) we loved her food!

I stayed at a room with jacuzzi bathtub and it was great. The bed was comfy and water was super hot. I like the breakfast in the morning and staffs are friendly. Would recommend!

Always attentive to the comments of its guests, a place that makes forget that you are in the heart of the city of Alajuela in an area not very attractive for tourism but do a great job and effort to make the stay in that place is the best of the beginning of the Most trips that start near the Juan Santamaria International Airport and get to know several cities in the country.

Everyone bent over backwards to make sure that we were taken care of.

It was a beautiful little place to stay. The street behind the hotel is a little noisy and the showers are colds if there's too many people on your floor, but the breakfast is great and the beds are comfy!

Well located dowtown, clean rooms, awfull breakfasts.

Bugs in the rooms, tiny beds and bathroom. Very small. Staff was very friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. Breakfast is not very good. Would not recommend.

Nice clean standard room. Very nice staff. They arranged early breakfast because I had to get to airport. About 10 minutes to get to airport. I recommend Hotel Eskalima for at least your first and last night in Costa Rica. I stayed 3 nights upon arrival. Situated in vibrant typical Tico town with good connections using public bus. Easy walk to bus terminals.

Great place with friendly staff. Room was clean and simple, everything I needed for my overnight stay. Breakfast was made fresh and delicious. Overall the hotel was great value, and clean. Everything I needed, nothing I didn't. Room air conditioner worked great and solid hot water.

It is very good. Good service. Good food and very nice.
