TIP: Upgrade to the harbour view room, it's worth it! Room size was fine for HK standard with smaller bathrooms (you do get what you pay for) but bed was really firm. Breakfast was fine and good variety. Only complaint would be when we asked for the staff to bring us an iron (which was done very quickly) but it was old and leaked everywhere. Would still stay again, good value for what it is. Airport express shuttle stops at the hotel and tram is just out the front.

Nice hotel, great location (walking distance to pretty much everything). We had a room with a city view which in the evening was absolutely magical. Very big advantage of Ibis Central was free shuttle bus to and from Hongkong Airport Express metro station. The only disadvantage I can find were these annoying elevators where only 3 out of 5 would take you to the ground floor, and of course every time we ordered an elevator we would get one of those 2 which wouldn't. Overall I recommend it to everyone whos looking for a nice accommodation in Hongkong in a reasonable price.

It is in a very convenient place. Public transport is just a few meters away. The staff are nice and accommodating. The room is small, but hey, space in Hong Kong is gold. :)

5 star review driven largely off the back of a super professional response to a lack of hotel water showers. The gift of the bottle of wine was very nice and not expected. Standard rooms about 800 HKD and decent value albeit on the small side. Very good location.

If you’re keen to stay on HK island and have a mid range budget in mind then this hotel is certainly worth considering. You could get a 4 Star hotel in Kowloon for the same price but this ibis puts you close to the action. If you opt for a harbour view room (essential if you can afford it) then you get a decent view of some of the harbour (not all as blocked by other buildings). The hotel is very busy and well used but the rooms are kept clean and refreshed. It’s a little more basic, as you get with ibis, but well maintained and in a great location. 7-10 min walk to Sheung Wan MTR. Local neighbourhood is exactly that… local, and with it comes an amazing buzz. There’s a Starbucks on site if you need a quick coffee fix. It’s safe too with key card lifts, chain on door and laptop sized in room safe.

Good central location, small but adequate rooms (I travel solo) with fantastic harbor views (if you pay for them). Super friendly and helpful staff. Starbucs at ground floor. I'd stay here again. If you're a big person the shower is gonna be a struggle. I'm 6 foot 175lbs and take yoga and it was fine for me.

Those who book Ibis know that there is no/hardly any luxury here.
Due to the reasonable price and the proximity to transportation and Sehenswürdigeiten, I recommend this hotel further.
From the airport, take the A11 bus for about 30 minutes to the HKG-Macau terminal, and then 10 minutes. On foot to the hotel (cost 40 HK $/person).
Or with Airport Express train from the airport to Hong Kong Station (85HK $/person, about 30 min), then with shuttle bus H2 (Free/About 10 min) to the hotel.
Man Mo Temple and Peak tram ca 20/35 min walk away.
Bus Station (E. G. To Kowloon) as well as Central station in the immediate vicinity.
Size for Hong Kong okay, bed and pillow however uncomfortable, thin blanket, air conditioning quite noisy, very small safe pleasant size in the bathroom. TV with approx. 25 channels (only Asian/English speaking) cleaning power poor (room dirty, not cleaned), reception (located on the 5th floor) very friendly and helpful.
Every day a bottle of water (0, 5 ltr. )
At the booking I gave the wish to get a room on higher floor — this was unfortunately "forgotten" at check-in.
The lift system is in need of overhaul: Sometimes the cards did not work and you could not select "his" floor.

Decent place to stay, however bit expensive for its services. Good connection to city centre and closest Train station is 0.4km away. Tram station is right across. Breakfast is not included and is charged separately. Rooms are bit small, but clean and tidy. Good experience overall.

Good location, few block away from shopping center and dining rooms. In the corner of the hotel boasts a cafe, starbucks. An incredible view and a good cleaning.

I spent 3 nights at the Ibis Central in a room with a bay view. This is a very clean, conveniently located hotel which is an 8 minute walk from the nearest MTR station. I had an issue with the safe in my room (it needed a new battery) which the staff where able to resolve promptly and without fuss. The Starbucks located on the ground floor is great but does get busy. My only negative is that the beds where quite hard. Would definitely recommend for any trip to Hong Kong.

Loved staying here while in Hong Kong. Great staff and clean rooms. Certainly a bit on small side for more than 2 but certainly cozy. Location is near a lot of great transit places and MTR.

10 mins walk to Sheng Wan MTR, the hotel room is clean and well maintained. The bathroom was small and particularly ours, definitely has issues with drainage. The view from 31st floor was no doubt, fabulous!

Decent business hotel that is near to the Macau Ferry Terminal (walking distance), as well as a tram stop that makes travelling to Sheung Wan/Central very convenient. Rooms with harbour view also comes at a cheaper price than other hotels with harbour views at other areas (e. G. Wan Chai, TST, etc). Have stayed here twice and will consider staying again when visiting Hong Kong!

The hotel location is pretty good! Traffic is convenient, subway convenient, but not noisy well. Because it's a relatively new hotel, so facilities are very good, the Room size is also appropriate, service is also very good.

One of the best value proposition in HK. Rooms are rather small (normal for HK hotels), but very clean and well managed. The hotel is around 6-7 minutes walk from the nearest MTR station. It's located in the Sheung Wan area district, which still has some old school HK feel to it, and definitely calmer than the hustle and bustle of Central or Wan Chai.

Stayed for 4 nights in 2012. Linen and towels were clean and promptly changed daily. Restaurant at 6th floor served pretty good food. Size is adequate for its price even though more hangers could be provided.

Great location, easy walk to all public transport. The staff were friendly and rooms clean. Breakfast was tasty and was open for good hours. Also the view was nice from the 27th floor too!

IBIS never fails expectations for the experienced city traveller. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, Starbucks on the ground, breakfast is well balanced. Excellent positioning as location for Macau trips and walks on the shore. Has free shuttle to Airport Express train. My only small thing is the authentic smelly-fish neighborhood.
