The wife and I are here for 4 nights.
Its quaint, clean, spacious and very quiet, it’s just what the Doctor prescribed. What we weren’t expecting was the room upgrade, the delicious breakfast’s and the hospitality. … This is a hidden jewel.

Ann and her staff went above and beyond to make our wedding very memorable! My husband and I eloped — Ann and her staff were part of the wedding ceremony, and were very easy going and flexible with our needs. Seriously, if you are looking for a place that will treat you like family while giving you your space and feel at home, this B&B is it. Will be coming here every year to celebrate.

Excellent rooms, beautiful view of the ocean from the dinning room. They make you feel like a real Victorian noble.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The location is wonderful with a great view. Beacon Hill Park is next door, the inner harbor is within walking distance, and the off-leash dog park is out front. (We loved watching the dogs play while we ate breakfast! ) The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. What more could you ask for?

Dashwood manor is a stunning bed and breakfast with adorable views at a reasonable price. We stayed here for two nights, and will definately come back again. The rooms were cozy, the beach is right next to the manor, downtown Victoria is a pleasant 15 minute walk, and its in a very quiet area. The staff was wonderful, and I think best of all was the breakfast. I could eat their breakfasts every day for the rest of my life. Each morning was a special chefs choice meal prepared around any dietary restrictions, or like and dislikes. Both times the breakfasts were 2 courses, of amazing and unique dishes different from your standard breakfasts. That said if you want to request a certain thing they will make it for you as well.

Such a cute little BnB right next to the water and close to downtown. The room was so beautiful and had an amazing jet tub. I will definitely be back.

We stayed there for a long weekend and loved it! The location is really great, the breakfast was amazingly delicious and the two ladies running the hotel were very very nice :-)

Lovely B&B at a perfect location. The house is obviously not that new, so it has its things (old bathrooms, etc), but that its beauty. Christy really makes you feel like at home. The breakfast is remarkable, different every morning and very well prepared.

So, so cute. Couldn't be better situated to go for walks along the shore path, the park in front, or the really attractive village center some 5-6 blocks in from the sea. The room is clean, attractively decorated and painted, bed is comfortable, ample with quality bedding, and the Wi-Fi signal is strong. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was excellent. I had fresh fruit, rye toast with a very tasty strawberry jam, and vanilla Greek yogurt. The menu provides choices enough for something different each morning of our stay. Should I return to Victoria I shall try to stay at Dashwood Manor again.

Location to the park can't be beat, breakfast was absolutely amazing, rooms were cozy and charming. All around great stay. A bit pricey but perhaps it was because of the prime time weekend booking :P.

We live at the top of the attic, the window of the sea is nothing to say the United States, the interior furnishings in the early British immigration style. But the bed is too soft, and taller people have to be careful to bump the head, because it is sloping roof. The breakfast is plentiful and made attentively, the waiter lovable and elegant, let the passenger feel warm, definitely worth recommending and revisiting.

Fun diversion from the chain hotels. Great hosts with local recomendations.

Lovely views of the sea boat traffic right across the street. Nice breakfasts; lovely staff and Michael and Dave could not have been nicer in helping plan activities. Beautiful gardens surrounding the Inn. Dog park across the street — off leash. Fun to watch the dogs interaact.

There is no way I can begin to describe the majesty of this place. Right on the ocean front walking distance from victoria government buildings. The staff was super friendly and made some of the best waffles to date.

David and Michael were wonderful hosts! Room was spacious and well appointed with period furniture pieces and even the soft music in the parlor and dining room was in keeping with the home's history. Breakfast both days was sumptuous — you guys outdid yourselves! The home is located across the street from an off-leash dog park along the bay. Being dog lovers, we were thrilled. But even if you are not a dog lover, the dogs were well behaved and trained and everyone was most gracious. Thank you Michael and David for a wonderful stay and all your help! Marian and Bob.

Great B&B. Perhaps it's the size or was the very English weather while we were there but I couldn't help but think of Fawlty Towers — unlike the show the service, quality and experience were fantastic. Beautiful views over the water from the breakfast room on a clear day too and the Beagle pub 5 minutes down the road put the B&B in perfect spot. Highly recommend walking through Beacon Hill park into the center of town.

We did not find this B&B to be very special. Our room, Tudor, was freezing cold in the late afternoon with no means of improving the temperature. The bathroom was very inconvenient — the mirror only accessible from a crouching position if you were over five feet tall. The shower was very complicated as one had to fight with two shower curtains to access the faucets and then one had to be very adept to control the hand held shower head. The view was ok if you don't mind looking sideways. When one reads that a full breakfast is provided, one usually expects the standard bacon, eggs etc. Which is a treat if one doesn't have it regularly at home. The breakfast provided, fresh fruit, banana bread and a Dutch :"toastie", while nicely presented, was very limited, especially if one was not partial to was was being offered. A request for something more traditional was grudgingly agreed to for the second day. Also, there were no amenities in the room, only in the lounge. Unfortunately, due to illness, we were unable to stay the second night. The owner said on leaving that he was unable to process a refund at the time, but would do it in whatever system he normally follows. When a refund had not appeared after 3 weeks, we called, only to be told that they were adhering to their policy of no refund if they did not rent the room for that night. We realize this is standard policy but it does not seem like good business when illness is the cause.

We ditched the kids in San Diego to spend several days in Canada. Dave was a gracious host, welcoming and friendly. The fantastic house sits right on the water with super views. As purely a matter of taste for us, we didn't care for the jacuzzi tube right in the room, but, again, that's very subjective. Extra comfy bed and just a nice place to relax and watch the dogs and their humans out the big bay window. Really added to our stay in Victoria. If we ever return we will definitely call on the Dashwood Manor. Duncan W. San Diego, CA.
