We stayed here last month and it was everything we wanted in a B and B. The communication about when there would be someone on site to let us in and give us a key was great. Josiah met us and she is the prefect "English" hostess! We stayed in the garden suite and it was lovely, comfy bed, the linens were wonderful (and I'm very picky). My favorite room though was the library so many book to choose from! Tea and Cookies at 2:00 and Sherry at 4:00! One other space I enjoyed was our private garden. A glass of wine, a good book, and sun shine what else do you need. I'm definitely returning and hopefully staying longer. Oh yes, the breakfast was yummy, Eggs Benedict one morning and french toast with fresh fruit the next. The next time I stay there I will bring my bike. Tom and Sue Regan.

NIGHTMARE FROM HELL … Overrated terribly … This old dump is an example of how to destroy an historic building by simply not maintaining it. My wife and I spent three days here this past month suffering. No air conditioning as promised. No staff on premises after 4:00 pm daily so you are are your own. No daily cleaning of the room… no bed made up … this building is a complete fraud in my opinion. Not as advertised… Wood trim and siding on the building is rotted and flaking very old paint. Would not stay there again if it was free… a horrible experience sweating the night away listening to peacocks screaming most of the night while the sweat soaked the sheets… Even though requested, no fresh towels or housekeeping. Mold and algae growing around window frames … I would sincerely suggest that the Chamber of Commerce bring charges against this out of country owner and remove the current staff. Then, close and condemn the building.

Such a beautiful experience! I’m so happy with our choice to stay at the Beaconsfield Inn! As others have said it’s a great location, nestled on a quiet street it’s easily walking distance to all the amazing parks, attractions and restaurants that Victoria is known for. We had a car and what’s nice about the Beaconsfield is they offer parking for guests. We barely used the car because we walked everywhere, so it was nice to know it was secure while we were out adventuring! We stayed in the Garden Suite and it was perfect! It’s such a beautiful house! Very clean the whole place is very nice and well kept. We stayed here once about 11 yrs ago and the Beaconsfield is just as good today as it was years ago, possibly better! Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh! I loved the excitement of getting something new to eat each day and they were very accommodating to my allergies. They also have a fresh baked treat in the afternoon in the library. I would definitely stay here again!

Tasteful, elegent and steaped in charm and history. It was the perfect spot to enjoy our visit to Victoria. All areas easily accessible on foot from the Inn. A wonderful breakfast and comfortable accommodations. I would definitely consider staying there again.

Old and smells a bit that way. Window was broken and glued together. Heat control in the room was poor. The electrical outlet did not work. There was no attempt made to upgrade to more energy efficient windows.

Great cozy place to stay. Hard to quietly sneak to the bathroom in this hotel, but such a great atmosphere and so much history.

The location was great! With in walking distance to the museum, Parliament and the ports. The house is simply darling and amazing. The host, Janis, was the best! She was so sweet! Perfect for this position! The decor in each room was on point even the updates in the bathrooms still fit in with the charm! The whole house was a romantic magical getaway, to to bottom!

Geat place to stay. We booked 3 rooms and really enjoyed staying in. Staff were also very welcoming and friendly specially Janice :). Highly recommend.

The Beaconsfield Inn is a beautiful historic building constructed in 1908, something I appreciate. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated and our bathroom was large and also very satisfactory. It is conveniently located and about a 10-minute walk to downtown Victoria. The breakfast was good however I wish they'd offered a selection rather than just the one choice. The lady who served us, I wish I could remember her name, was very gracious and kind and tried her best to please us. I would recommend the Beaconsfield to a friend and I would return there. I should mention that there is sufficient parking for anyone has booked a room there.

Excellent B&B! Great rooms, great bed after a long day of touristing. Super breakfast. Has super Wi-Fi for sharing (& backing up our pics). Nice corner room on quiet street. A nice walk to the harbour and whale watching tours. Close by food & a market.

Very nice hostess, good service! :) The breakfast was typical Canadian I would say — it was delicious. We would come back anytime.

This is a very good place to stay and sleep, I like the breakfast very much! I will stay in here again if I come again next year!

The inn and grounds were great, the service left something to be desired. Maybe it would be better during peak season.

A beautiful, quaint and quiet getaway in Victoria, a wonderful city. Rooms are comfortable, the atmosphere of the old fashioned house is nice, and the breakfasts are really something else. Seems the new owners are still getting into the swing of things but this place is really a gem. I hope it stays here forever!

A fantastic B&B that my wife and I stumbled upon during our anniversary. Courteous staff and amazing gardens accent this treasure. Definitely pampered here and will be returning!
