I’ve stayed here as a local for fun and for the view. I’ve booked rooms for travelling friends — and would again. The whole experience is worthwhile. And there’s some pretty great food downstairs.

Great location, nice big room and huge tub. Needs some attention to amenities — pillows old and flat, a couple Red Rose tea bags and cheap coffee. Nice coffee shop across the street. Great to have kitchenette. No gluten free options in continental breakfast.

As good an experience as every time before. Clean room, quiet, very friendly staff. So nice to be back.

It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and the inn is very centrally located. There is plenty of parking and there was a nice view of the ocean from the window. The room was mostly clean (I found a brownish stain on one of the pillow cases…) and the bed was comfortable albeit a little softer than I'd like. There is no elevator so this would not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with a nice water view. The town is really cute, nice restaurants & boutiques.

We enjoyed our two night stay. Older but well kept and comfortable room. There was no elevator in the side we stayed in. So check that out before you reserve your room if you need that access. Friendly staff. Near the water. Can walk to nice restaurants and shops.

Everytime we go to the island we stay here. Friendly, accomodating staff, clean comfortable rooms and can’t forget the awesome views. Close to everything you need as well.

Great place to start a bicycle ride on the Lochside trail. They have locked indoor bike storage.

Its a pretty decent hotel right in the middle of sidney.

The view from the room was nice. We appreciated the little balcony. The shower was good pressure and hot water was plentiful. Room — it's clean enough for our one night. Everyone is very friendly here. Breakfast was toast, cereal, yogurt, Apple slices and tea & coffee. The place was packed — it's a bit noisy but quiets down nicely around 11 pm. I'd stay again.

My sweetheart took me here for my Birthday. Chris and Nicky were FABULOUS!

My room was very clean and spacious and the staff was courteous and professional. In fact, I forgot a few hundred dollars worth of makeup and toiletries and they did everything they could to get them to me before I left town. Thank you!

Nice quiet little hotel with friendly staff and nice sea views.
Although a little bit dated, rooms are clean & comfortable with all the facilities you need including small fridge, iron & hairdryer.
There is no bar or restaurant & breakfast is very basic, but enough to start your day.
There is a bar/ restaurant immediately next door where food is good & reasonably priced.

Very good accommodation, we'll positioned. A bit outdated arrangements, but functional and effective.

Despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door, my room was made up, my personal possessions moved around and a pile of wet towels left on the floor for me. Not to mention the furry ice bucket, that was provided. When I called to complain I was assured the manager would call back. I've even followed up with an email after leaving now, and still no customer service or apology about these things at all. No one cares there and any thing goes.

Room wasn't too bad. Some of the furnishings were dated. TV was small, but didn't use it. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast had a limited selection, but was still better than nothing.

Excellent value for this hotel. Beautiful views from the ocean facing rooms! Extremely friendly staff, comfortable and well-appointed rooms. I would certainly make a point of staying here again.

Picture misleading. We were put in the rooms behind the main building. Room still very nice with a view to the ocean. Breakfast not worth having unless you are desperate. Staff very friendly and helpful.

My husband (Dave Haldeman) as stayed at this hotel every other week (M-F) for 2-1/2 years, and wouldn't stay anywhere else! The entire staff make it feel like home, since he stays there so much, and it is clean and accessible to the waterfront and downtown.

Yes, I will stay here again. Breakfast sucks, but the coffee is good enough to get you to walk to Third St Cafe for a proper breakfast.

I find it quite ironic how in your book you describe how some prior are allergic to cigarette smoke and dislike the odor. Yet. The overpowering perfume scent from the front desk clerks gave me a headache. Some people have allergies to perfume. Just sayin.

We had a very pleasant stay here. It was a short walk from the ferry. Very nice helpful staff. Excellent clean room with very comfortable beds. We would highly recommend this establishment. It's just a 45 minute ride on the bus to Victoria or the Butchart Gardens.

We stayed 1 night in one of the inn’s waterfront Jacuzzi suites. Overall, very happy with this inn. Everything in the room was new, the suite was is spotless, with a king bed, gas fireplace, and spacious living area with sofa and desk. The Wi-Fi here was without doubt the best I’ve ever had in any Vancouver Island hotel (there’s a router in EVERY room! ). Breakfast is served each morning complimentary for guests just around the corner from check-in. Parking is free and plentiful. Location: there are loads of pubs and restaurants within a 2 block walk. Out front is the ocean, and a gorgeous boardwalk-style walking path along the marinas and nearby waterfront condos. Tip: there’s a Fairway Foods market just behind the hotel, great for stocking on some items to use with the mini-kitchen inside the room (a microwave, mini-fridge, cutlery and plates etc are supplied).

Disappointed. Not because the facilities were bad, but because the pictures are not like the facilities. Slightly outdated. Clean enough. Very average. Also, this hotel was MUCH more expensive than a fancy hotel I stayed at in downtown Victoria. Save your money and stay in Victoria.

We stayed for five nights at The Sidney Waterfront Inn and Suites and found everything to our liking amazing weather, fantastic view. We stayed in a Cannery kitchenette suite with a great sea view. Morning sunrise was lovely. The hotel staff were very pleasant and Roselyn at the front desk who greeted us upon on our arrival was very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The supermarket and wine store across the street made stocking the kitchen easy. Breakfast was complimentary, and we went out for dinner onsite at the Beacon Landing Restaurant. I liked shopping in the boutique stores on site. All were exceptional and left you feeling very VIP. I would certainly return just for more shopping! I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay closer to the Airport and of course the beach.

We came to Sidney via Victoria Airport, so we wanted to stay somewhere close by — this was a perfect location, close enough to Victoria, yet quiet and relaxing. There is so much to do in this quiet town, with all varieties of restaurants close by to choose from! We took some time to visit the Butchart Gardens, but other than that walked everywhere, so I was so happy to come back to a really comfortable bed with and a view from our private balcony like no other! The room was really clean and the bathroom was pristine. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay.
