Good hotel room was fine place was kinda clean but other than that it was good there was orange peel on the refridgerator.

Staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean and it was nice to have the fans in the room.

Stayed there l for one night… no air conditioning. Small rooms beds were not comfortable. The lady at the front desk did not say anything about charging an additional $200 on my visa for security. Be careful when looking for a place.

Divey place that has been half renovated for years. That said, they always have the kitchen onsite rented out to really great homecooked restaurants.

It was not fully clean and no honest people who work there. Left a ipad there went back for it with half hour and it was gone. I wish they company compinsated something, I mean they ask for damage deposit why not help with what the workers took.

Clean, straightforward, affordable accommodations. We were pleased with the family suite that worked well for our visit to Nanaimo.

I called Port-O Inn & Suites regarding what time the best time to book a room would be, the receptionist woman who answered was not only rude & complained to me that the hotel was closed, but she also condensingly stated that "the hotel is closed! " & hung up on me, when all I was looking to do was to find out what time check-in time would be. It took two phone calls to find out that the check in time had ended 20 minutes prior to my phone call. Terrible customer service. I highly recommend not dealing with this kind of poor treatment!

Front desk was so kind and efficient I always love to roll into a hotel and have a key card in my hand immediately. Rooms were clean and warm. Cleaning staff were super sweet and friendly. Worked perfect for me!

One of the few places that would take a guest without a credit card. $250 deposit though.

Great place to stay! Inexpensive, Pet friendly and clean. With a great Korean Restaurant attached. I recommend both.

Port o call, you can't help saying it like a pirate. It's in rough shape. We expected as much though, and is not the reason I rate it Negatively, because in the end you generally get what you pay for. My low rating is mainly due to the unsafe feeling you will no doubt have staying here. In all three rooms my group used each one had security issues to do with the bathroom windows. They did not lock. In my friends room it would not even close. The solution was bars that were installed inside the frame, bars that could be removed by anyone with a Robertson screw driver or a drill. Also, we were pretty sure there was a hooker coming and going all night long in the room above us. On a positive note the bed was more comfortable than we expected. We would definatly try a different place next time. Disliked it!

Adequate accommodations. Appears to have had some renovations but our non-smoking room smelled of smoke.

This is where we stay anytime we need to come to Nanaimo for a night. It’s nothing fancy, very basic hotel, but it’s clean and the beds are comfortable and the price is right. The service is friendly and we’ve never had a bad experience. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced bed for a night, this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway, this might not be the right place.

My wife and I stayed at this inn and suites while in Nanaimo to see some doctors at the hospital. Our first night was uneventful; however, our second night was absolutely chaotic. The guests on the floor above us were highly intoxicated, and quite restless the entire evening and well into the morning hours. The police showed up on 2 seperate occasions, and the night-time office staff was quite rude. We inquired twice as to when the noise from above would cease, and were told that they were not magicians. When my wife asked if we could have a different room well past midnight, she was told there were none available. When my wife asked for a partial or full refund she was met with nothing but resistance. Finally, when my wife suggested that a scathing review would most lilely be posted, the night staff thought it would then be appropriate to speak over her. Therefore, one star is one too many for this establishment.

Rooms were updated but not completely cleaned. Dirt Ring around tub. I have bite marks on my right arm. Believe there is bedbugs in room 209.

Totally met expectations. Friendly hotel staff and nice room. The hotel is doing some renovations and we got a finished room which is very nice. No air conditioning though so our stay was warm, but it was just fine. Will stay again.

Whatever rating you're seeing for this motel is too high. This place is gross. We were booked into room 307, and it was clearly not acceptable for human accommodation. Light switches had no covers on them, the bathroom window was held open by a rotting piece of wood, tile had no caulking or grout, no windows had screens on them, there was some sort of ear wig thing on the bathroom mirror, AND… none of the rooms have air-conditioning. On a positive note, I haven't been killed yet. Do yourself a favor and pay $5 more to stay somewhere else.

It's defiantly a "no-frills" motel… if there was another room available anywhere in town I would have gladly paid double this rooms cost my own fault for not booking one in advance I guess.

From desk staff was really friendly and enthusiastic. Rooms visually were acceptable for the rates. The sheets were to small for the bed so they kept coming off… ewww! My biggest problem was the cleaning staff kept knocking on our door and then one used her key and walked in. What made matters worse although covered I was not fully dressed and my dog started heading out the door. I had spoken to a little boy who was staying at the motel the night before and he was scared of dogs. As I was not going to chase my dog as is, I had to grab her by the tail and yank her back in… not cool! Although the other cleaning staff were apologetic, the girl who opened the door was smirking the whole time she apologized… not acceptable!

Clean rooms, bathroom and bed in the same way, room with microwave oven and coffee maker, there are free ice and Korean food restaurant service.

Paso Hotel in Nanaimo, simple but very clean rooms, clean bathrooms and equal bed. We pay C $90, it seems fair.

Rented 2 rooms. One was nicely renovated the other looked like a supply closet. Got moved to another room which had no hot water. Super nice people who run the front counter though.

Our first room wasn't even clean. The lady gave us a new room which was cleaned. A the downfall was no air conditioning, the room was so hot the windows were sweating.

If I could rate this — 100, I would. Room 103 is the room I stayed in with my boyfriend, it was ABSOLUTELY disgusting. Countless spiders within the room, The bedding wasn't washed or changed, the towels looked like someone had pee'd on them, there is mold in the bathroom, and tge carpets are puke worthy. Other customers that stayed had not been very pleasent either, trying to get into our room and knocking on the door at like 1am and through out the night. Worst hotel I have EVER stayed in.
