Very nice Hotel wow very good lunch the pool cool the rooms very good.

For an indoor pool the water is extremely cold.! Not just fresh but really not nice to stay inside.
There remains the spa as comfort still the too many people who want to go there for possible place 4
No room service every day except for garbage cans.!
Yet it is his who is pleasant to go to the hotel.!
Restaurant for lunch, little choice, very long service 1 hour wait for the meal even if there is not even half of the place occupied, expensive
Hotel parking is $24 per day!
The rooms are in need of renovations… wood floor poorly installed

On photos and videos the main room with balconies and swimming pool seems majestic and beautiful… very ordinary 😒
First visit to Quebec we were sure that with the Jaro hotels everything would be his tick as finally said we regret not going to the Hilton.

Carne to the city for a 4 day getaway for my birthday with my wife. Stayed in an interior suite with a balcony facing the pool. Loved the room. Fireplace below the TV was a nice touch, the balcony was awesome and the mini fridge and microwave were great to have. The pool and hot tub were awesome and very well maintained. Friendly staff and the location is incredible. Tons of restaurants and amenities within walking distance. I will stay here every time I come back to Quebec City. Thanks for a great stay, can’t wait to come back!

We have been going to Jaro Hotels for 25 years, and these are really one of the best, especially show and dinner packages really delicious and the wines are always very well chosen. They have several other Hotels that we made, we call them our mini Walt Disney everything is very well organized. Hotel palace Royal, the view is simply stunning in some rooms.
Congratulations to the generous owners of their times, it is immensely appreciated.

The hotel is great and excellent food! Only downside is it really necessary to put such a big palm tree in front of the stage that hides the view from many people … otherwise everything was perfect!

One of the best hotels in Quebec City. We're always well served. I have two children aged 3 and 6 who demmamde me to go back for the pool and do activities in the Quebec vieu. The restaurant make very good steaks and we will love their fish in cod chips. Thank you to all the hotel staff for your good service… We come from Trois-Rivières and today we moved to go and have notte supper and despite the crisis covid-19 we passed one. Good time. I recommend this hotel to the couple, to the family, it's one. Hotel for everyone who wants to spend an unforgettable stay in the Quebec city.

The pool supervisor does her schoolwork and does not monitor the pool. Around 9:30 a. M. Tonight about 30 unsupervised children. A call was lodged at the front desk, no change.

Super hotel with nice room. However, at the level of the restaurant, a total lack of professionalism that this said manager, ms. Sophie. Attitude completely rude and is not listening to its customers. When it is time to pay the bills, and after several etreurs in the latter, it is mounted forward towards the clients and its employees. Thank you to the waitress, who was able to resume everything with his smile.

Hotel is very nice and a great location! The only negative is you can’t check-in before 5pm, pretty unusual!

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, along with the beautiful atmosphere upon walking into the Hotel. We were impressed with the whole inside area of the pool area which made it very inviting. Our room was very nice along with the comfy bed. 100% enjoyed our stay.

Water from the pool not fit for children! Really but really too cold all the kids had blue lips besides the cleanliness of the water leaves something to be desired

All staff at both hotel and the hotel restaurant that I interacted with were great! I have a food allergy (gluten) and restaurant staff helped to find something ok for me to eat. This morning all cabs were on strike and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that another guest and I made it to the airport in time for our flights. Highly recommend!

While visiting Quebec City for the weekend with my family of 5, stayed in the double queen bed suite with a beautiful city view. The room was very clean, the hotel staff was friendly, the concierge were very knowledgeable about all events & happenings in the area. The location couldn’t be better to visit Old Quebec City which was at walking distance to all the shopping, eating and plazas within Old Quebec City. Left my car in their garage without having to move it until we left. The restaurant on location (Beffroi Steak House) nice and elegant but we only had the breakfast buffet on one of the mornings which had your standard fair (scrambled eggs, French toast, potatoes, sausages, etc) and at a good price. Since we ate in Old Quebec City all day and night. And to top it all off I got the room at a reasonable price.

The quality was excellent, ever since we arrived we were greeted and treated very well by the customer services. The room and decorations are beautiful and we'll fitting. The swimming pool is clean and clear, very nice to swim in and to relax. For sure recommend this place for those who want a clean place to relax and enjoy a couple nights stay.

Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Location is great, adjacent to old Quebec. Shower water pressure was good. Only — 1 star because my girlfriend found several hairs from a previous guest on her pillow.

Our third stay at this excellent hotel in the heart of old Quebec City. They all speak fluent English, and are not fussy about it. Clean and large rooms. Hotel dining is just so-so, but many other local eateries abound. Indoor pool with many rooms looking inward from your own balcony to pool below. Kids love it. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place and the rooms were better than expected. There were a few drawbacks however. We had an upscale room that we loved but the bathroom had no hooks for towels and the layout for the sink was not good. I had to shave over the sink but the mirror was at my left shoulder. Not an ideal way to shave. The only other drawback was no drawers for clothes. I had to pile my clothes on the desk So even with the minor inconveniences I would go back.

It a very nice hotel. We stayed in the suite with queen bed and murphy bed, garden view with indoor balcony. We had sort of two separate rooms which is really great when your group is 3 or 4 people. The bathroom was very nice too, as it had a separate door to the shower and toilet section which is very convenient when you need to use sink while someone is taking a shower. Also liked the big windows in the bedroom and enjoyed the sitting on the indoor balcony. Very cozy place for the hotel. Stuff was welcoming and helpful.

This definitely is not a 4/5 star hotel. 2 or low 3 star. Small and dirty rooms. Hotel reception staff is not friendly at all. The parking downstairs is horrific. The location is superb so that's a plus. This could be a fantastic 5 star hotel with some work.

Lovely hotel and great location with parking available on site which can be hard to find in QC. Knowledgeable staff who are warm and friendly. Good food and drink with several options available for both in the hotel and attached to the building. Right next to a bus stop if you need public transportation. Remember to bring a bathing suit, no matter what time of year! They have a very pretty indoor pool and hot tub as well as a dry sauna on site so take advantage if you have the time!

We just checked in, and the staff is gracious. The pool is perfect for kids and the room/suite is perfect for our family. Everything is vey clean, and the hotel is close to what we want to see. The bar and bartender are also fantastic.

If I could rate more I would. The staff at this hotel is absolutely wonderful. The cleaning ladies are doing a fabulous job. The facilities and location are perfect too. The swimming pool is just the cherry on top of the cake. Merci beaucoup! I stayed there for 5 nights for a conference, the conference centre is literally a 2 mins walk and this hotel is a good value comapre to the one in front of the Conference centre.

Do not eat on the spot… service order to the rooms… mushroom-free pizza… chicken croquettes on cooked so dry served with white and dry rice and vegetables (red onion, zucchini and peppers) are deposited raw on rice. And forget the sauce yen has not. Dry fries… mac n Cheese a bowl of white pasta on which they melted cheese without more. We would have gone to MC do we would have eaten better. And when we talk to the manager we are told that they can do nothing and we charge $80. Damage!

The hotel is very classic The very small rooms the excellent service you have to put some kind of flavoring because it has an old smell but it is actually OK.

This definitely is not a 4/5 star hotel. At best a high 2 or low 3 star. Small rooms, dirty carpets, and mediocre staff. The parking downstairs is horrific. If you have a truck don't even bother. It takes 30 manoeuvres just to fit it under ground. Forget about it of you have an extended or HD truck. Don't risk it. The location is superb so that's a plus. This could be a fantastic 5 star hotel with some work.

We stayed in a suite and was given a continual banging noise for renovations/repairs. We notified the reception and the noises had to stop, but they continued… for 2 days. We were also given the right to poorly cleaned mirrors. They had to be made with the laundry used for cleaning the whole room. Despite that the reception was good and the employees were nice. To finish, on the 7th floor, impossible to communicate with the maids, they do not understand and speak neither French nor English… only Spanish!

Good location… service of the restaurant Biffroi very slow! Parking is a bit expensive! OK rooms and facilities Pool and spa OK! Staff of the hotel impeccable!

Good concierge. Close to the old town. We had a great room. Hotel seems to cater for families, so expect kids in the halls and common areas. There is a pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. The pool and hot tub can be overrun by kids. One side of the building faces a busy street which is noisey. Overall a good spot and in a good location.

It's a very bell hotel close to everything and what a beautiful room we have for sure we're going back.

We loved a lot of things about this hotel. Great location. Very clean. No carpet (Big plus! ). Door separating bedroom and sitting area was a great feature. Restaurant was very good and our waiter was excellent. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Not great. On the positive side — staff is very nice and flexible (let us check out later with no troubles). Also, the murphy bed was amazingly comfortable and the location is great. That's about it. Negatives? City view room? More like neighboring building view. Street noise; Remote controls for TVs don't work; curtains half torn; ridiculously low ceilings; lamps don't work; 15$ breakfast for some fruit, a coffee and a pastry; chlorine smell in the patio; 60s feel? Check, if you like it you earned.

Great Hotel! I like the decor, the services, the style, the conference rooms, the staff is nice except at the restaurant The Belfry I was more disappointed but good. The room was nice and welcoming. Parking is very expensive.

Nice and quiet hotel. Staff very helpful for tourists. Rooms very nice and clean, love the pool/garden area. We stayed here for our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute. The Steakhouse restaurant in the hotel has amazing food, THE best eggs Benedict I've ever had and great steak. We will hopefully come back here in the future!

Room was clean. Wish the mini fridge was bigger. The pool was too cold for my liking. Spent one night on the pull out couch with my young kids… All of our backs hurt. Definitely would have appreciated better quality. The bed was very comfortable tho :)

The hotel has a great location, a few steps away from the Old Quebec. The rooms are nice, cozy and clean. The gym is okay although it could be a bit bigger. Staff is friendly. Supper at the hotel restaurant was okay but pricey for the size of the plates. Avoid the breakfast buffet. We thought the food was dry, too salty and quite plain. Not worth $16.50 per person. Maybe the menu À la carte is better but unfortunately we will not go back to the restaurant, especially that the hotel is close to some great restaurants in the Old City.

Located in the heart of old Quebec, lots of activities, stores around. Bus stop in front. Public parking below the hotel. I visited the basic rooms which are nice and simple. Some rooms have a balcony which overlooks an indoor pool below, very nice! The service seems great, I visited for a potential hotel for our company Christmas party, the person showing us around was professional and polite etc.

Very good location in Place d'Youville in Old Quebec city. The bus line to visit the best place is next to it. Good room and commodity. Worth the price. Breakfeast and more available in the hotel.

Our group booked 12 rooms at Hotel Palace Royal on July 3rd, 2017. This was supposed to be a fun family trip immediately following our wedding, but the hotel turned it into a nightmare. The hotel gave two of our rooms, after we checked-in, to others… producing duplicate keys for them & allowing entry into our rooms. First, they gave my parent in law's room (they are both >70 year old) away. Fortunately, it was us. We were shocked when we checked in and found their bags insi…de our room. I felt very unsafe, thinking what would have happened if they were in the room and strangers had opened the room instead. Second, my brother's room was given to another guest while he was exploring Quebec with his family (including 2 toddlers). His bags and medicine were moved out unattended to the lobby; his work laptop was left in the room (inside the locked safe) as the new guest was simply told the previous guest checked out and forgot their luggages. He came back around midnight, upset and not knowing where to stay as the hotel didn't know what room they moved him to. It's traumatic for the tired kids as it took over an hour to figure things out. We ended up giving his family our room while figuring out the whole thing. The other guest was also very upset when the hotel tried to retrieve my brother's laptop past midnight as she also had little kids.

This is a very beautiful hotel, located just a few steps from the old city. The pool atrium is very cool. My kids love it. The fitness centre is pretty decent, especially considering how close to the city's centre we are (where space is usually a premium). There is a restaurant, a steakhouse, located on site but I haven't tried it. There are many great places to eat nearby, including several boulangeries for breakfast. Our room was a small suite, with a separate bedroom and a shared bathroom.

I've been there twice and is planning to go again this summer. I love the beautiful pool and hot tub plus being able to walk to restaurants and shops with ease. The staff is well trained and friendly whilst the rooms are clean and classy but comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any tourist's planning to be in Old Quebec.

The worst decision I've ever made in my life was to book a room in this hotel. About a month ago, my friends and I were supposed to be staying at this hotel but because of a flood warning in my city we couldn't leave. Seeing as it was a last minute warning I also called pretty last minute. I called to cancel our reservation 4 hours after our cancellation date time limit and the hotel refused to make an exception. I explained to them the entire situation and they had absolutely no sympathy for the fact that my friends and I are students and couldn't afford to lose this type of money. The supervisor was completely apathetic and was talking to me as of I was a child. I even was willing to change the date to another day, but all I got was a strong no. I will never stay at any of their chain of hotels and for sure not this particular one. It was a very disappointing and extremely frustrating situation.

The hotel is very clean, well-appointed and has a sense of hospitality largely lost in the modern world. The staff was incredibly accomodating. They helped us with a rather unique parking issue. The rooms looking inside on the enclosed courtyard are quaintly relaxing.

Nice hotel in downtown Quebec. Easy walk to the old city and all the historic sites. Close to great shopping and resturants. The hotel is clean and quiet and filled with polite Canadians. Rooms are nice, parking is on site.

Staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. We were upgraded to a suite and it was very clean, well maintained and very nice. It had a balcony opening onto a large atrium with an indoor pool and hot tub down at ground level. Will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

A couple of times a year our family with two small children take time off for a short family vacation. This time we took a last minute hotel deal in Hotel Palace Royal in Quebec City and stayed in a basic double bed room from Sunday to Monday. We were attracted to the hotel's very good location (in Old Quebec, close to restaurants and services), nice pool, hot tub, gym, and sauna. The hotel and the room itself were very calm and clean, great for a family with small kids. However, the room was smaller than we thought, overlooked big city buildings, and had pretty high beds which we managed to re-organize for the safety reasons for our kids. Overall we had a wonderful stay and the standard of the hotel and the service from the staff were good. We would be glad to stay over again!

Nice hotel, warm welcome, comfortable rooms. Good room service and fast. Just a pity it smells so much chlorine. Maybe missing a little aeration. The pool water is cold. I do not think it is at 80, several swimmers mentioned it during our stay. The biggest problem was when checking out. Glaring lack of staff for the departure, so much that the line went up to the main entrance. More than 20 customers were waiting for their vehicles. A situation to be corrected. Several customers were frustrated.

In the first place, there is an excellent service. Excellent concierge service. The rooms Located in the city centre, close to all within walking distance. Swimming pool, whirlpool and much more in use. I recommend it to all.

First visit to this hotel for a conference in Quebec City on 24 and 25 March 2017. The employees are very welcoming and very helpful. My very big disappointment was at the room level. The mirrors had not been cleaned we could have written our story there. In trying to adjust the alarm clock it was the same story: so much dust that I had to wipe it off before setting the time of my waking up the next day. In the bathroom the fan was completely filled with foam. In summary if I was allergic I would have died smothered! Before I left I mentioned the whole thing to the receptionist and he just told me he was rescratching this drawback! Thank you, Hello!

Could have been so much better. This hotel has the potential of being a wonderful experience. Only one block away from the walls of Old Quebec, right on one of the two main shopping streets of that district, with a grand style reminiscent of the big hotels of the 30's and 40's. The lobby is lovely and the interior covered courtyard is spectacular. Interior rooms have balconies that look over the pool and Jacuzzi and the exterior room have a great view of the city. The bed was very nice, with a firm pillow-top mattress and excellent pillows. The reception was fine, with friendly and helpful staff and our 2 room suite was very nice and fairly up-to-date. The bathroom could have been cleaner but but it was not terrible and we did not complain about it. Unfortunately, in other areas the service leaves a lot to be desired. We were there for a long weekend, 3 nights and on the Sunday, our room never got made up even though we left the card requesting it hanging on the door. True, we were in and out a bit and had lunch in our room, however there was plenty of opportunity for the staff to make up our room as they were in the hall when we left for our several trips into the city. Some other small things could be improved with very little cost or effort to vastly improve the experience, for instance, the towels are awful, small thin things like you would expect in a $20 a night roadside motel, not a large hotel in a big city.

They lack service and staff, at restaurant they all are very rude, on boxing day our room was not cleaned, the clorine of the pool smells all over the place, We feel ripped off by the price of a 5 star being only a 1 star property max. We will not come back or recommend it…
