I cannot say enough about Bons Matins. It is an amazing place to stay! Everything from the great rooms, amazing staff, and awesome breakfast are top notch. The location is also perfect, I simply cannot imagine a better place to stay when I visit Montreal. Steps away from the Metro / Bell Centre as well as many great restaurants and bars within walking distance — also convenience stores, pharmacy, pretty much anything you need. Two very big thumbs up to Bons Matins! They make you feel at home and I can't wait to come back again.

Wonderful B&B find! Everything: front desk service (thank you Sam), parking, Metro down the block, three delightful cooking ladies who also service the amazing rooms (my wife spoke Spanish to two), whirlpool and well equipped kitchen area in each of the three townhouses. All a delight and merci.

We loved this hotel! The location was great. Right downtown and close to a Metro station so you can quickly get to other parts of the city. Breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful! We had a room in the basement, though, which proved to be loud in the mornings due to breakfast preparation. Book directly through their website to be able to choose your room! Don't use a third party website or you'll get randomly assigned a room, and may end up in the basement! The rooms are clean and well decorated. They're also a nice size. We'll definitely be staying here again if we come back to Montreal in the future!

July 2018. Centrally located, Quarters a bit tight but a nice Parisian ambience to the room accommodations. Great breakfast! Staff friendly and helpful. Not, however, for the old and arthritic. Outside spiral staircase to the room a tough go with or without luggage. Single steps everywhere — — inside and out. If you don't remember to step up or down, you're going to tumble. Also, not super quiet. Road construction nearby and above-ground rail a block or two away with trains passing in the night.

Spent 3 nights with my boyfriend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, however, not many vegan options. Only toast with peanut butter or jam, and fruit. The room was decorated nicely, and was very clean besides a stain on the bathtub. The stairs to our room directly were covered in pollen and bugs, which was a huge turn off. We also had the room directly below the kitchen, so sleeping past 7 am isn't an option.

Booked this room very quickly when needed to stay in Montreal unexpectedly. Turns out to be great fortune, since it was lovely with friendly folks and a great breakfast. Exceedingly clean and tastefully decorated everywhere, someone has great taste and attention to detail!

Great well-decorated rooms. Breakfasts of queens and kings (bread/waffle, orange juice, variety of prepared eggs). Super nice staff. Too bad the air conditioning does not seem adjustable per room and (not the fault of the hotel) that the city of Montreal hired and accepts work. At night! With the incessant sound of truck alarms going backwards.

Cozy, clean room. Great breakfast. Lovely people. Less than a block away from the Metro. I'd love to go back!

Quirky. Windows don't open, can't control your room's temperature, and a few minor things fell apart. But clean. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff. Small kitchenette very useful. Perfect location, just 5 minutes from standing on the metro platform.

Great funky place but not as good as it used to be years ago. The decor is fantastic if you like rustic eclectic vintage charm. The paintings on the wall are fabulous. What's missing is the small things… attention to details and customer service. They are friendly but not a 5 star for me. I would go again.

Very nice establishment. They are small cottages too cute and very well decorated. We had a small room with a shower room. Small and well equipped. It's clean and well maintained. The shower is not very spacious. The breakfast included in the room was complete: waffle or lost bread, eggs, fruit and toast. All served at the table. Only flaw: the noise. The floor is in parquet it is very nice but it cracks a lot. Our room was in front of the staircase… And so we could hear a lot of neighbors when they were in the hallway. I would recommend this hotel.

This was my first time at a B&B and I loved everything about it. The service and staff was great and the breakfast every morning was the delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in the Family Suite and it definitely had a comfortable home vibe with a pretty aesthetic.

Our room was very neat, however access was a bit dicey. We visited in April and the stairs were a bit icy and it was a challenge to bring our luggage down an icy metal spiral staircase. The other staircase was a sheet of ice. The front desk was helpful but not overly welcoming, however the ladies who ran the breakfast service were incredibly pleasant! The room itself was well decorated and fun. It was clean and maintained well. The bed was okay and be aware that the walls are paper thin and we had some trouble sleeping since our upstairs neighbors were up very late listening to music which reverberated into our room. Bring ear plugs just in case! The proximity to the city and activities was very good and there is a metro station basically across the street which was super convenient.

I adore this place. It's so cute and unconventional. The decor and colours are so fun. Pricing is very good for what you get.

My better half and I spent a night at Auberge les Bons Matins, we are both locals from Montreal and wanted to find a nice affordable place to stay the night… a staycation if you will. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service, clean rooms, charming European decor and super comfortable beds. We were a bit weary that our room was in the basement (upon reading other reviews) but enjoyed it just the same as any other room. Breakfast was simple and plentiful. I ordered the waffles and my partner ordered the French toast. Both came with English cream, coffee, orange juice and some fruits. Our only gripe was that there was a party in the house next door and their loud music could be faintly heard through the walls, other than that the stay was great and we wouldn't hesitate to book again, Merci!

Stayed just one night, but wished it was longer. Room was great and so was breakfast in the morning. Location is a very short walk from a metro station. Highly recommend!

Well maintained and very cozy, Auberge les Bons Matins is a fantastic BnB to stay in. It has whirlpools and fireplaces in most rooms, plus great complimentary breakfast. Conveniently located near Centre Bell.

This is a perfect B&B if you are looking for a value stay. Amazing interiors of rooms, a marvellous breakfast every morning, 1 minute walk to metro station and 5 minutes walk to the centre of shopping and food areas. Can't recommend enough.

A total displacement in the heart of Montreal! The place is warm and the staff is very welcoming. A memorable stay to redo again and again!

Auberge les Bons Matins is an absolutely adorable B&B. Each room is individually decorated and furnished in a very cozy and lovely way, and our room had a Jacuzzi bathtub in it. We had an amazing stay here. The breakfast is really great, and they make excellent strong coffee! We enjoyed every bit of our stay at Auberge les Bons Matins. I would highly recommend it! Note that there are train tracks in front of the building, but we didn't really notice any trains.

Cosy bed and breakfast with colourful paintings in every room. We had a comfort room. The bathroom was very tiny. Lots of old staircases and no elevators make it tricky with luggage. Staff are friendly and polite Great breakfast.

It is such a neat B&B. Very friendly staff, very clean an d beautiful vibrant rooms, location is good if you don't mind a little walk. If I am ever back in Montreal I'd go back there again.

Great staff, stress free check-in/checkout, and great breakfast. World traveling couple that stayed for 1 night in September before starting our two week vacation in Montreal. Great stress-free check-in and checkout. Although we arrived from the airport after midnight, we were easily able to arrange check-in prior to our arrival. Very helpful and friendly staff. For breakfast downstairs, we had the included continental breakfast from which we ordered the spanish omelet, a poached and boiled egg, and french toast. All were very tasty. Note: If you sleep warmer at night you might find the room warm during the summer time Would stay again in the winter, but not around or during the summer.

Massive rooms with proper living space, this gem will not disapoint. Front reception was the most accommodating of our entire trip and delivered exceptional service above and beyond. Breakfast has several options and was delicious with excellent service. With the metro 50 steps away we will be returning without a doubt. Stayed in 803 for two nights in July.

Romantic setting, perfect breakfast and close to the Metro for Wanderings in Montreal.

Immaculate, clean and beautifully decorated! Both my husband and I absolutely adored this place. We were in the family suite and had a full kitchen right outside our door (shared with the family suite upstairs). Parking was a bit difficult to find — they should update their website to include clear directions on how to get to it — but otherwise, we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We're both looking forward to going back as soon as possible! Oh, and breakfast each morning was superb! Hard to believe it's included at no additional cost. Great place and great service all around.

Two separate visits, and both times were amazing. We visited the second times over New Years holidays and the owner was present New Years Day offering everyone mimosas and baileys in their coffee and just enjoyed being there. Always great service and the breakfast is to die for, and the proximity to the metro is incredibly convenient for travelers. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed in the family suite. We loved the character of the room. The breakfast was great. Good service. Very clean and classic. We would return. The kids liked the balcony. It has the comforts of home.

Pricey but pretty. Breakfast is a little monotonous if you stay multiple days (eggs eggs eggs). Don't stay in room 504 or the other one under the breakfast room unless you like to be up at 530-6am sharp due to all the traffic above. Trains across street can be loud for front rooms during morning commute. Rooms are very nice, lots of character and comfy beds.

My girlfriend and I stayed last weekend. Staff is super friendly, the rooms are awesome, the location is perfect and the breakfast was great. You won't regret staying here.

I stayed there last year, September. It is well located, only a couple of streets from the main central street. Rooms are very well furnished, large and quiet. There is a small balcony, on the back, perfect if you are a smoker as I am. Breakfast delicious and abundant (fruit salad, juice, tea/coffee/milk/ eggs, French toast, etc) ; Employers were young and nice persons. A' conseiller!
