Very nice staff, a favorite.

Great hotel, however we are very disappointed that we weren’t told that as part of the new construction the pool had been closed. My girlfriend brought 3 bathing suits.

Had a wonderful time at Manoir Hovey. The setting on lake Massawippi is breathtaking. The service, from the valet, front desk, restaurant staff, room service, the personnel in and around the hotel, was impeccable. Wonderful attention to detail. Everything we needed and requested was provided immediately. The food at Le Hatley was top notch. The entire staff was friendly, professional and very welcoming. Looking forward to planning our next visit.

Extremely attentive and friendly staff. With the pandemic they have introduced an extremely safe approach so you can still enjoy this spectacular auberge. The rooms are immaculate, beyond comfortable, and with their ability to serve you a fantastic menu right in your room from one of the finest kitchens and world class chefs is beyond delight. Even with the constraints, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and multiple inviting warm fire pits allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery for a fabulous stay. They are at the top of my list and am excited for our return.

Amazing service, staff is one of the best in the industry. Considering we’re in the middle of covid, they go far and beyond in making sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The room service and food are top notch, fresh ingredients and always fresh. Great amenities including night time s’mores by the fire right by Massawippi Lake. Total relaxation accompanied by excellent service, would totally recommend! Thank you and see you all again on New Years Eve!

The Hovey Manor never disappoints. We have stayed at the Manor several times as a couple, and as a family throughout the years and the seasons. Peaceful, romantic yet family friendly, the site is luxurious while authentic. The service is impeccable and the staff has proven to be very accommodating even with the current pandemic.
The Tap Room restaurant is is a wonderful place for drinks and lunch or a simple dinner with terrific views of the lake and countryside.
The Hatley restaurant is amazing to say the least. Their tasting menu and wine tasting menu is always a hit. The sommeliers are extremely experienced and they will make you travel with each wine pairing and stories they tell. The last time we experienced this type of wine pairing was at Le Gabriel in Paris, a two Michelin star restaurant.
Their breakfast at the Hatley is varied, beautiful and beautifully hearty.
The rooms are luxurious while kept authentic with a country touch. There are many various types of rooms in various locations on the site available to patrons which can make the experience different every time if need be.
There is a pool, two beaches, tennis courts, an assortment of water activities and other seasonal activities throughout the year. The Hovey Manor has adapted very well pertaining to the current pandemic. We are looking forward to come back soon!

Charming terrace on the shores of Lake Massawipi. Despite the event there we were well received and served at the Tap Room. I found the selection of wines a little limited for the late afternoon aperitif, but despite this the atmosphere compensated. I go back when the weather's nice. For a short walk on the site and to admire the water next door.

I visited 2 years ago and I still dream about the pancakes and gnocchi. Beautiful magical place. Amazing service. Begging my partner to bring me back here one day… maybe they will see this.

This is our first time at Manoir Hovey. We knew it would be nice but everything surpassed our expectations. The weather was amazing which of course helped as we could lie by the pool and relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are beautiful. But most of all the food is the best — it’s fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. We haven’t had such good food in many years. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Steve and his staff in the restaurant take care of all your needs. We will return very soon. Thank you for helping to make our 30th Anniversary so special x.

We wanted to have lunch at the main restaurant at Manoir Hovey. TripAdvisor had very good review of the place and we loved the online menu. Nowhere it said that the restaurant was open ONLY for dinner. When we arrived, the employees were very nice and tried to persuade us to have lunch at the TAP room, smaller restaurant without the options we were interested in.

Amazing historical property with excellent service. We stayed one night in the off season. The place was empty so they upgraded us to a modern room, which was a bit larger and had a jacuzzi bathtub. We preferred the country charm of the rest of the in, so if that's what you are looking for, skip the modern rooms. The dinner was interesting but limiting. We felt the attempt to include local ingredients was admirable but missed the mark for combining flavor and texture. It must be difficult to produce such a menu in the off season. However, we did not leave feeling wowed by the dining experience. The staff was excellent and very helpful.

Les lieux sont superbes! Le service est vraiment impeccable et que dire du menu succulent! Les agencements autant de couleurs que dans les choix délicats et nuancés de savers aussi subtils qu'ils puissent être offrent aux yeux, aux papilles gustatives et à toute la bouche une expérience des plus joyeusement mémorables. Et on ressort de table vraiment satisfaits sans se sentir ballonés. J'aurais aimé remercier le chef pour ce repas parce qu'il était vraiment empreint de délicatesse, de nuance et d'une touche de fraîcheur qui m'à particulièrement plu. Le saumon en croûte avec épinard, amande et fenouil et salade d'agrumes et d'endive étaient un délice! J'ai sauté la truite fumée qui nous a gagné des le début. Et le dessert au citron avec petits fruits et sucre d'érable était d'un charme envoûtant pour terminer le repas. Tout au long, le service attentionné des serveurs nous a accompagné malgré le fait que nous étions un gros groupe. Je trouve cela difficile pour tout restaurant et toute équipe de service de répondre aux besoins de groupes mais ils ont plus que gagné leur étoiles! Ils sont fabuleux! Je ne saurais que dire des chambres, nous étions ici de passage pour un repas mais ce que nous avons vu des installations et de la propreté des toilettes mises à notre disposition, tout était d'une propreté exceptionnelle. Je reviendrais sans doute pour un séjour si l'occasion se présentait et je recommende certainement le Manoir Hovey!

We chose the Gastronomique package for our honeymoon. Loved every minute of our stay. Foodservice is excellent, attention to service is what should be expected for the chain. Charming rooms and amenities. Highly recommended, classy experience. Men, bring a jacket for dinner.

Lovely setting overlooking the lake; quite pastoral on a sunny spring day! The breakfast options presented were delightfully prepared… and delicious! Spend a few days here to truly appreciate the hospitality and the opportunity to refresh/recharge!

I spent one night at Manoir Hovey with the dinner and brunch package. I found the service excellent and the room welcoming. However, I was very disappointed with the food. It is not worthy of a Relais and castles. For the asking price, nearly $800 for 2, we could have offered much better elsewhere. I dreamed of this stay for a long time, and I do not advise anyone.

I paid $750.00 for one night, one supper and lunch. It's really not worth it. The food is not very good. Trumpet names on the menu to understand nothing. It's more than disappointing.

It has a spectacular view, the food is excellent all the vegetables are 100% organic and delicious. If it is an expensive hotel but to be of the 50 best in the world it is not an overpriced one. It is a unique experience to get here the best thing is to rent a car from Montreal. You can also know the villages that are nearby the VDD does not take more than 3 to 4 hours and there are some shops to buy 100% organic cheeses and some ice creams and I can say that the best ice cream I have ever tasted.

Quite an experience, the staff is amazing! I am not a fan of the 5 stars but I see poorly how some can find a downside to this place! Everything was impeccable, what about the Discovery Menu 8 services with accord met and wine, a delight! We were surprised by the staff because of their efficiency. The room was clean, the towels smelled good, they offer the Occitan products in samples and I pass…

My wife and I went to eat at their restaurant and it was just amazing. Great play on textures, use of ingredients, portions, blend of flavours. It was a great meal.

Genteel, comforting atmosphere, world class dining on locally sourced food, many activities to profit from the location. The list of pros is vastly bigger than that of cons. The only downside would be the price, but it is still hugely competitive.

Fabulous time. Quiet, serene, luxurious, comfortable and relaxing. We went for our honeymoon and felt like royalty. Between the attention to detail, the amazing service and the creative and delicious meals from Chef Francis Wolfe. We can't wait to go back again in the summer months.

Really fancy. Not a great place for a casual weekend, but as long as you like dressing fancy it's beautiful. The nearby town is absolutely adorable. Good food and nice cafes. The lake can be a little cold, but average for Canada and it's great for kayaking. 4.5 stars.

Manoir Hovey has the ambiance and intimacy of a bed and breakfast with the service and professionalism of a 5-star resort. My wife and I came here looking for a great weekend to escape the daily grind of life and work and and we found that and more at Manoir Hovey. The service: The first thing that I noticed was that every member knew our name as soon as we walked in the door and worked to make us feel special. Every night we were left personalized messages from the concierge with information for the next day as well as suggestions on things to do in the beautiful areas surrounding Manoir Hovey. The Room and facility: Our room had a gorgeous view of the lake, original wood floors, and a gas fireplace that was on a timer. We were here during the off season but got the feeling that the place had something to offer in every season. The facility has a pool, tennis court, a chef’s garden and even a teepee where you could drink hot cocoa in the winter. We spent the majority of our time having tea and playing chess in the library by the wood burning fireplace. There were also fire pits lit outside where you could enjoy drinks. The Food: The food was French cuisine and extremely fresh and flavorful. The meals were vegetable and fruit centric which were perfectly balanced (the food either came from the chef’s garden or local farms in the area). The restaurant service and ambiance were amazing!

Every time my father visits, we go to manoir Hovey for lunch or brunch, depending on Saturday or Sunday respectively. The place is absolutely beautiful, with stellar service and unbelievable food. Everything about it feels 5 stars, but quaint and intimate. I look forward to his next visit so we go back. 7 years, and counting.

Only stayed one night but could have stayed forever! Room was decorated to my taste, and I'm an interior designer! Bathroom was not to be believed! The view was spectacular! Food was divine and the service impeccable! Would highly recommend!

Disappointing. Our expectation for a 5 star resort wasnt met. The outdoor pool wasn't warm enough to enjoy a swim. Given there is no indoor pool they should at least pump up the temperature of the pool and have a hot tub. The meals were expensive and truly not memorable. For the price of the room that we paid we expected a better kept establishment. Our air conditioner didn't work for 2 days. The buildings required work and upkeep. The staff was standoffish. The bed was rock hard and not comfortable.

Quaint inn on a nice lake. Wonderful dinner and breakfast, but a bit on the expensive side. Definitely a nice place to get away from fast paced life.

Lovely atmosphere, great views! The staff is very courteous and helpful. The food is wonderful. Rooms are pretty, very clean. However, the lights tend to flicker every minute or so. That can get annoying. Went to Hovey for a wedding, and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic hotel. Their facilities, staff and catering are superb.

The location is a little tough to get to, really off the beaten path. It's location, however, is lovely right off the local lake. The rooms are very old style classic in feel, much like an old mansion. The staff are extremely pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are generous. My room had a fireplace that more than adequately warmed the room, and the bed was very comfortable. The view outside of the hulls and landscape are wonderful and peaceful. This is very much a place to relax and enjoy nature. They have a French restaurant on site, and the food was excellent. It is pricey, no doubt, but the entire experience was stellar.

This hotel is particularly pleasant. The room was well furnished and very clean (a cleaning have been done again the very first day when were at the restaurant). The place is really quite and the sight from the room was just awesome. The staff is completely at your service and a full range of services are offered. The restaurant is fantastic (breakfast and dinner). Despite it might be considered as expensive, I strongly recommend this hotel and particularly the restaurant.

I wish to do this, because I went to this establishment, which is supposedly a relay and Castle and hospitality was really not great, the room was fine, but the service was terrible. When it does not ask for coffee or simply espresso coffee is still extra, it is that the plan needs to be rethought.
For your consideration, I went into the Relais & Chateaux of the Loire and the experience was incomparable. First, I paid less in France, and second, they served me as if I had been a God and not not as they treated me at Manoir Hovey.

A more romantic stay! Fantastic.
