This is a decent hotel for an overnight stop on the Trans Canada Highway. The rooms are clean and quiet the staff are helpful. Breakfast is a nice feature to get you going.

I gave this hotel 4 stars comparing its services to its price. We paid 123 including taxes with room of two double beds. Receptionist was amazing… very friendly and helpful. Room was clean along with comfy beds/pillows. Location of this hotel is perfect near shopping mall and gas station. Boys loved TV channels… tree house. It was easy to use laundry machines for guests. They have free coffee at reception 24x7. We also found two small pieces of chocolates in the room… very sweet gesture. My only challenge is that I was located at second floor and they do not have an elevator. This is a great place to stay in when you are in Thunder Bay.

Price has jumped 20% since this time last year. Air conditioning was powered off 14th. May when it was 26 degrees. They said they don't turn it on until the May long weekend. Room very hot. When paying for room I questioned the cost (with discounts 102.00, last year 86.00) the day receptionist said it is summer rate "which begins in March! " I pointed out there are billboards advertising rooms starting at 79.00 she said the billboards were out of date. Basically couldn't care less attitude. Front desk most unhelpful with room location as my wife is disabled. It is a complete turn around from a year ago. I think it is maybe to do with they have a medical contract for out of towner's and that is where they make better money. Other staff were all good. Rooms are clean and kept up.

I loved my stay at EconoLodge Thunder Bay. The housekeeping was great. Clean and nice rooms. A front desk staff member Veronica with a gorgeous melodic middle-tone voice was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was a great selection and good. Will definitely come again!

I really enjoyed my stays at night. Polite staff. Clean room. Nice shower. Great temperature in room even though cold outside.

Found a bed bug crawling on my sisters bed last night and then another one on my little sisters bed this morning absolutely disgusted by this place. If you can choose anywhere else I would choose anywhere else but this place.

Great rate clean room place to park friendly service. My only complaint is the cleaning staff in thw early morning talking load outside my room door.

The staff here get 5/5 for professionalism and service. The door keys get 1/5. We stayed for over a month while looking for an apt. And half the time were locked out of the room. Electric door Keys wouldn't work. Breakfast was great. Wish they had a microwave in rooms. Prices a bit too high. Just our opinion.

You get what you pay for. Seemed a little sketchy at first but the bed was quite clean, as was the washroom. The sheets were seriously bleached or something because though soft, they "burned" my face a little and I had to put a T-shirt down. Better at that extreme than the other. Neighbourhood seemed a little worrisome but it was quiet with little foot traffic. I can't really complain though as the price was quite low and there were no other pet friendly accommodations available at the last minute.

Decent hotel. Clean rooms. No elevators or luggage buggie, free Wi-Fi & breakfast & parking.

Perfect for what we needed. A safe spot for just stopping through while on a road trip.

The rooms were clean we booked two. They were both clean and the internet speed was fast as well… I really loved the fact that microwave and kitchen area were open all night as that helped me in midnight snacks.

The hotel was nice, but the breakfast was laying bacon, and scrambled eggs. The rooms were clean, nothing special. Staff were super friendly and lots of parking.

Great hotel with pretty good rooms and breakfast. Could include more variety in breakfast such as danishes. Rooms could include microwaves. Sometimes entering through side door is annoying if we forget key card. Otherwise pretty nice place to stay in Thunder Bay.

It says "econo" right in the name. Set your expectations accordingly. Is it clean? Mostly. Does it smell? Sure, a little. Do they have Fox on the TV in the lobby, which leads to the receptionist commenting on how black people are actually the racist ones against white people? Oh, absolutely. But above all, is it an economic use of your money? Yes. It's cheap. And that's probably why you'll stay here, and will leave with minimal amounts of regret.

They were actually fully booked, but they were very helpful helping us contact other motels in the area to find lodging. There was a blues festival in the area causing all motels in the radius to be fully booked. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and generous. Great service.

Good value for the dollar, can't really complain, they had a free breakfast, I wouldnt call it a hot breakfast, as the only thing hot was the coffee. My shower wasn't working either, but again can't complain as the price was right and the room was clean.

Clean room, VERY comfortable beds, close to the highway for anyone travelling. Staff is friendly, and is in the city so you don't have to travel far for food/extra supplies if needed.

Clean rooms and in a nice location near stores and restaurants. Staff are all very friendly and Continental breakfast is as expected. Close to the highway for travellers, I would stay at this hotel again in any future travels.

For a 49 room motel its very impressive, a fitness center, guest laundry (well it did a few years back) the hallways smell very clean, so there cleaning supplies must be wicked. Overall theres 2 choice properties in thunder bay and this one is the better one x 10,

Horrible! Clean was all it had going for it. NOISIEST hotel I've ever stayed in. The hot water is NOT hot — barely warm. No fridge (or microwave), and very inconvenient to get your stuff in and out of your room (only doors at each end). Just plain horrible. Don't stay here if you want to sleep! NOISY NOISY NOISY!

Stayed overnight and the service was quick and friendly. On memorial in Thunder Bay.

This is where I go to be highly disappointed. Come here if you absolutely hate doors not being slammed at all hours. Bed bugs hang out with you when you're tired. At least McDonald's is a scary five minute walk away.

Worst place I have stayed. Bed bugs, obnoxious tennants, no AC.

Noisy plumbing, but adequate for a one night stay. Staff friendly and nice, and the price is good. Location not so great.

Very nice for a one night stay on the way to Armstrong Sta. For a fishing trip. We will be staying here every year we are able to go fishing.
