Every time I come the staff are friendly, and my room is always great! This hotel has more than a few rooms with a view of the CN Tower (which was a shock to find out when I arrived during one of my stays)! The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is very close to the subway. Would highly recommend if coming to Downtown Toronto.

Room is super cute! 2 double beds for my daughter and I…. Drove from Sudbury, ON for a 2 day stay.
One bed had coffee or what ever stain…. We called and immediately it was rectified!

Great location, kind staff & good food. Stay here regularly while attending hospitals in Toronto and call this nice hotel my home away from home. Located in the centre of downtown, near all attractions and only blocks away from Princess Margaret hospital. Supermarket conveniently next door liquor store too 😉

Beautiful place to stay, the staff is phenomenal and goes out of there way for their guests. We will choose this hotel everytime we need to come down for my daughter's mris.

Nice room a little small and on 11 floor little scared of heights just won't look out feel sorry for condos across as we can see in each others places but other then that pretty nice food is decent also.

Couldn't travel anywhere for my birthday due to Covid 19 so I decided to book a room at Holiday Inn from January 21 — 23. The staff are nice and friendly. The food was delicious. The room had a nice view of the top of CN Tower. I recommend that that you stay at this hotel.

During the COVID this hotel was very quiet but all the staff was really helpful.

Overall a very good place to stay in. The rooms are clean and service is great. Very quiet and relaxing definitely nice! The only complaint I have is the water and water pressure in the shower. It took forever for water to get hot in the morning, I had to wait for 10 minutes with water running from the shower before it warmed up enough for me to get into it. It's waisting the water and my time, especially in the morning when one has meetings to go to. The water pressure was low too, difficult to get hair conditioner out. Otherwise the place is conveniently located in the city center. In the lobby there is a Starbucks so you can't get a coffee fix early in the morning.

Unfortunately my experience was negative, they charged the cost of the rooms of all 12 members of our party on my husband's card. Because it is a rechargeable card, the amount has already been cashed in. The great thing is that the rooms had already been paid before leaving Italy, but despite missing the whole morning (of the only day available to visit Toronto) at the reception to solve the problem, at present, it has not yet been Solved.

My two times experience has been utterly pathetic. The house keeping staff are efficient but the front desk staff are highly ill trained. For a business traveler like me they blocked around CAD 2200 in my card as a authorization. They don't understand the needs of business travelers and the usage of travel cards. Putting the amount on hold on a travelers card blocks the money and can take days to recover. The front desk operates without any clue on payment rules and processes. I would advise all business travelers to stay away from this hotel. My check in process after a 20 hours flight too 30 minutes. My checkout after a 3 weeks stay almost took 45 minutes.

The best hotel experience I have ever had thus far. From the check in to housekeeping, the level of attention shown towards each guest is amazing. The attached resturant serves good quality food, fair portions, but at slightly higher prices. The hotel bar also carries a wide selection of beers, wine, and cocktails. The hotel is just a few steps from the subway, bus, and streetcar. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in downtown Toronto.

Visited during a short stay in Toronto and was impressed with the hotel overall. Rooms were spacious with two double beds and were well equipped with TV (around 50 channels) coffee maker and a safe. Beds were really comfortable with a choice of soft and firm pillows. The attached restaurant and bar offered a good choice of food at reasonable prices for a hotel. The bar was modern with a good range of drinks and very friendly staff. The hotel staff as a whole were helpful and friendly and the rooms were cleaned every day. The only downside was the area seemed a little rough was numerous homeless people located near to the hotel although they didn't bother anybody. The hotel did have security on the doors however and the lifts required a guests room to to work so always felt safe. The subway is located nearby (about 200 yards) and it is inexpensive and easy to use if you want to use that to explore. There are numerous bars and restaurants within walking distance as well.

Overall, this was a very nice, clean hotel located in a very convenient spot. Our check in was easy and I loved having our car parked so close. There is a gift shop and spa located in the lobby, and a Starbucks practically in the building. Any staff we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again… However… the elevators were horribly inefficient. Frequently we had to wait a few minutes to get an elevator, either because none came down to the lobby or to our floor, or because there were so many other people waiting for the elevators that it took 2-3 cars until we were able to get in one. Our room was comfortable, but it was also small and lacked details you would think would be standard. There was only one hook in the bathroom for towels, so we used the shower door as a towel holder for the second towel. The only place to put your shower items was on the floor, as the only thing in the shower was the soap dish. The counter space in the bathroom is very, very limited, so we rearranged all the towels/wash cloths to have extra space for travel bathroom bags. Considering counter space is limited, there's no soap dish provided which meant soapy water would travel towards our bathroom items. The closet was tight, if you have anything hanging you can't have your luggage located on the stand, you have to bring it out into the room — where there isn't much space to put it.

Poor value. Well past it prime. The cooling system could not cool rooms. Check in staff 'forgot' that my rate included breakfasts. One of four elevators were not working so long line. Night manager lied about room. Bottom line… it is a surprise that this is an Holiday Inn. Well below the chain's standards. Many much better value hotels in the area. Stay there and avoid a bad Holiday experience.

Old Hotel with small rooms and, at least in our case, noisy. Insufficient elevators (once it took me 15 minutes to get off…). Staff not always at the top.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only in the restaurant the service was not good and the sheets are of a very low quality material: you get "touches" all the time and you can't sleep.

The bedrooms are clean. It is in downtown Toronto with lots of places to eat and visit in the area.

A disappointment of the holiday Inn brand.

Dining was great. Parking is tricky to get in and out of. Entrance to underground parking lot is very tight. Room was fabulous. The staff is top notch. Great stay.

I didn't like it. Small room, small bath room and need renovation, the heating did not work in winter and I brought an electric heater. A scam. It does not meet the usual Holliday INN standards. I recommend general reform. Very small room for breakfast and buffet better. Looks like a quick-restore service. Upgradable services. Very unfriendly bartenders at breakfast. No restaurant for dinner. I will not repeat and I will think before I book at Holliday Inn.

Very good customer service. I wish I could remember the young man who checked us in. (Dez? Dom? Ben? ) He took very good care of every detail he had control over, without being asked. Small rooms in comparison to other Holiday Inns but it IS downtown TO so to be expected. Hallway needs to be updated to match the room updates. Would go back again. Convenient location. Enjoyed our stay.

Good hotel with the type of amenities you would expect at that price point. Location is good, close enough to the downtown core. Rooms are quite nice and tidy. Staff are courteous. Overall I'm pleased.

Room was a moderate size — we were staying for only one night so it worked great for us. Washroom was nice and the whole room was clean. The buffet breakfast was great and a reasonable price. Parking was available but for a fee, which is typical for downtown Toronto. Overall it was a good stay and we would for sure go back.

Fairly nice hotel in downtown Toronto. All the standard conveniences of a city hotel in North America. Centrally located with a great convenience/gift store. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Washing is not done on Sundays or public holidays which can be frustrating.

I love this Holiday Inn. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is a great deal if you get it included with your stay. Always a large choice of hot and cold breakfast items. A stone's throw from the Eaton's centre and a multitude of restaurants Beds and pillows are quite comfortable and they offer a late 2 pm checkout time if you sign up for their rewards program. My favourite place to stay while visiting Toronto.

We called to find out where to park, it's around the back and underground. The check in process was easy and the room was clean and cute. No view, but we didn't care. We walked everywhere the rest of the trip, and the location was pretty ideal. The only downside would be that you can only go up using the key card, so when we ordered in, we had to go down to meet the delivery person. Looking forward to our return.

Clean and modern hotel with some excellent service. I did not get an opportunity to eat at the hotel, but it's in a very convenient location close to a ton of great restaurants. The front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. I also find it to be reasonably priced, which is sometimes quite hard to find downtown Toronto.

Comfortable and well located Hotel in downtown Toronto.

Decent room well equipped quite small but the whole is to review. Some rooms are very noisy the has a built-in air conditioning directly in the window! Gym/pool poorly maintained cleanliness to review absolutely!

Everything you would expect from a Holiday Inn — comfortable, clean, safe. Good, affordable in-house restaurant and bar. The staff at this location is superb. Almost without fail, every staff member I encountered, directly or casually, greeted me with a smile and a "Hello". This HI has a great location (close to lots of shopping, in its own right, but right on subway and streetcar lines giving easy access to all the city's attractions). One thing of note, rooms are very small by North American standards — think standard European-size rooms, here. But if that's not an issue, rooms have all the usual amenities, including in-room safes.

Good hotel, although it lacks some arrangements.

Located in the downtown of this hotel is very center, go out right 1 minutes to the Subway College Station, take 1 station Subway Dundas Station, up is the large shopping mall Eaton Center, the hotel service is very good, every day to meet the flight attendants of international flights to stay, Come back to Toronto will also choose to stay at this hotel.

We had to wait few hours in the lobby before leaving the hotel after checking out and the man who sits by the information desk was just phenomenal. He noticed we had kids with us, quickly grabbed a bunch of toys. Colors, coloring paper, water and then checked on us again and gave my kids lollipops! Kids felt welcomed, relaxed and entertained. The rooms themselves are surprisingly tiny but clean as can be, the hotel was quiet and we have no complaints.

EDIT 171028. Stayed at this hotel after leaving negative feedback. Wow, the staff were super friendly and would drop everything to come help us. They answered emails/chats extremely fast prior to our trip. The only CON I can really think of is the washrooms. They are pretty dated by 2017 standards — but apart from that I see no reason to change my rating from a 2 to a 5 star. I will absolutely return to this hotel in the future.

One of the most buzzing hotels in Downtown Toronto. The service in the restaurant and bar was amazing. The food was top notch. I would be doing a disservice if I do not mention the two amazing staff members who served us at the restaurant and bar, Lina & Darrell … Keep up the great work!

Good location, central to most sightseeing places in Toronto. Subway station is minutes' walk from the front door. Many amenities are available but rooms are quite small and the double beds and other furniture make it seem smaller still; the bathroom felt quite congested and was smaller than average. Bathroom fan was nonfunctional and despite asking for it to be fixed, nobody came to look at it. Good for a short stay but if you're in for a longer stay than a few days then opt for a location with bigger rooms and bathrooms.

Great place. Starbucks is in the lobby, as is a fashionable bar. Location is great too. All kinds of food, drink and other places within a couple blocks. The room was a little small but we got the cheapest one, so that's fine. Great service at the front desk.

Very nice experience so far. I am staying here on a business trip, and the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room we booked is a double room and the beds are of adequate size and comfy. Things to probably improve on is more availability of outlets and more towel racks to accommodate two people Overall great experience.

A shout out to Meliissa in reservations who took the time to go to the manager to help fix a screw up in a non refundable reservation with the wrong date. Thanks to her it saved our anniversary celebration. This is the kind of service that is rarely seen now days. As a priority club member I appreciate helpful friendly service. She also sent chocolate strawberry 's to our room. Great hotel!

Small room Correct overall.

Very nice stay, however the room size was disappointing because it was very small and narrow. Everything was provided for guests and the hotel even has it's own built in restaurant so you don't have to go outside the hotel to get food. Staff kind and welcoming. Very convenient location and overall a pleasant stay. Would come again if a larger room size was offered.

I have stayed here three times in the past few months. Great hotel, perfect location, amazing staff that goes the extra mile to help guests. Rooms are basic and simple, on the smaller side but suited our needs. The hotel's restaurant has decent food with excellent prices. The buffet breakfast has a great variety of foods for everyone's liking.

Really small rooms. Not enough space for yourself and belongings because of the size of the room. Everything felt crowded and claustrophobic. Seems clean but not a modern look as compared to other holiday inns. The location is convenient and within walking distance of many places and the Eaton centre. Staff is friendly. Overall experience was pleasant.

Forced stay due to a 12 hour delay with our train heading to Vancouver. VIA Rail have hosted us at the Holiday Inn safe Carlton. Unfortunately, have been assigned a room that had insects on the bed and had to be moved to a new room. No more accommodations on the part of Holiday Inn for trouble… Very disappointing and a great loss of confidence. On a good note, the concierge was very nice and the room service was excellent!

It was a great place to visit the city with an underground parking fee. Very nice hotel very good cleanliness of the whole facility and staff friendly and helpful. Purtropppo The rooms are really tiny for 4 people there is no space to deposit luggage. Also the air conditioner is really noisy so during the night it is annoying.

Staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean and modern looking. The location is very convenient to many downtown Toronto places. The rooms are pretty standard, and have coffee maker, refrigerator, and an in-room safe. My favorite part is the shower — it has a clear door that lets in a lot of light instead of a shower curtain, and has a shower head that can be taken off of the wall. The rest of the bathroom is small, with the sink awkwardly placed in the corner in front of the toilet. This placement hurts my back when using the sink. Also, the bathroom mirror is hung way too low. It cuts off pretty much my entire head unless I squat down to use it. (I'm 5'11 and I don't consider that to be overly tall. )

Although our room and bathroom is small, I am giving this a 5 star rating because of its location. The Toronto sightseeing tour bus pickup is just a block away from the hotel. The Concierge, Luke is wonderful. He is friendly and accommodating with our inquiries. The hotel is surrounded by a lot restaurants of various ethnicity. It is just a few blocks to Eaton Centre. And the best ever, Loblaws is just a few steps away from the Hotel! Starbucks is just right beside the hotel and Tim Horton is just a block away from the hotel! now tell me What more can I ask for!?

We arrived and checked in quite late and the hotel had sufficient staff to help us get checked in and to our room efficiently and effectively. Staff were courteous and professional throughout our stay. I couldn't ask for a better stay.

Had a great stay at this hotel from the 10th of may for 5 nights. Great place to stay as situated in a good location for all amenities. The food was lovely in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A big shout out for Daryl on the bar who has a great personality and had some great laughs with him. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in a double Queen room. Plus: Hotel is clean and family friendly. Good location near Yonge St, subway station, and streetcar line. Near grocery store and LCBO, plenty of nearby restaurants. Minus: Rooms are a little small, no view.

The location was wonderful. Very close to many main places in the city. The rooms were small. The walls had some dirty build up on them and there were stains throughout. The bathrooms are very nice, and it's obvious that the showers are updated. The rooms themselves need a little renovating. I also was leery about the mattresses and box Springs being covered and zip tied shut. Couldn't tell if that was proactive against bed bugs/maintaining the mattress, or, hopefully not, due to a bed bug problem. The Wi-Fi is also terrible and cuts in and out. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The downtown location was excellent and within walking distance of many destinations. Underground parking was convenient and safe. At check-in I was generously upgraded to an executive suite with a nice southern view of the city. The staff were very hospitable and helped with several of my requests via the phone. Holiday Inn Downtown is highly recommended!

Pleasant staff, good location for downtown fun, gaybourhood and shopping. Rooms and bath are quite small and smell of disinfectant but windows open so its more than adequate.

Hotel is very nice, with a great location. Walking distance to pretty much anything you could want. The parking is not ideal for larger vehicles but there is an overflow lot. The rooms were a little small but nice and renovated. I would stay here again.

OK, mostly. Toronto on business, stayed here for 10 days, very convenient location, clean, simple. To Eaton Center is only 5 minutes from the Metro station is 3 minutes; downstairs there is Starbucks, and more importantly, to see the waterfall at the entrance you can ride, very convenient.

If you want to stay in Toronto but don't want to spend too much, this is a good choice. Close to the center of the town. Can be a bit noisy.

Great staff! I frequent this location often for work and the people I meet there are always so kind and attentive. For the price and location, you really can't go wrong. They really treat you like something special.

Was here for a conference, they're a pretty good venue for a medium sized one. Good location, convenient :)

The hotel was nice, my only problem was that the one washing machine and one dryer for the whole hotel as not working. I asked if it would be fixed soon and the answer was no. They had a nice typed sign stating the appliances were not working so they have been broken for a while. You could use their laundry service, but I choose not to since it is expensive. No coin op laundry in walking distance. You would think such a big hotel would have more than one washing machine and one dryer. One nice thing about the hotel is that it had a recycling container in the room.

The staff was very rude and short with me. Upon check in I found out the room I had reserved for my wife and I, we are on our honeymoon, was "unavailable due to overbooking. " Instead we were given a small room with two double beds. When I asked if anything could be done the desk clerk stated that other people were overbooked. The parking is $28 (per 24 hours) and the clerk said it could not be waived. Funny the downtown holiday inn express has free parking. So I told the clerk I would not like them to charge me $28 and I would like to go park elsewhere ($13 for 24 across the street where you can and go as you please). When I said I did not want to be charged the clerk told me I already had and wanted to cancel it she thought I wanted to cancel my stay and it took several minutes to get it figured out. Stay away and take your business elsewhere I usually love holiday inn (and have stayed in their brand all over the world).

Clean rooms large pool and huge sauna. The restaurant food was good too. Difficult to find the place though. Use a good gps device to guide u in.

Insulation around the windows in the room is really dreadful — I can see light between the window pane and the AC unit. How do they afford heat? It quite cold in the rooms because of this. I also checked out the fitness room but it too was freezing with just a couple of cardio machines and some free weights — very spartanlike. Otherwise room is decently appointed in a good location.

CHarged me 150 to clean my PTSD work dogs food up cause I was sick in hte room for 3 days and didnt allow staff to clean the room. About a hand full of pet food fell o the floor as I frantically left due to my PTSD flare up from manager gina lost everything in a fire and chose this hotel for a 21 months stay to get back on our feet. i had laundry to do and had the staff send off my clothes. Firday At 5 am I called front desk and asked about the laundry. i was told it hadent gone out yet so I asked to hold it at front desk, no problem sir. at 11 am I have a friend come to do laundry and we are informed it went out and wont be back till Monday. It shows up later that day with a bill. Gina told me to calm down after raising my voice due to PTSD. I warned her prior. i had to leave and got ot the hospital. The police said they were jerks. Loosing 100, 000 $ in hotel stay.

Great check in experience. Had to book last minute because of a cancelled flight and everything went smoothly. The room was clean, but small, as expected for a downtown location. I liked everything about my experience.

Stayed at this hotel for a hockey getaway. 5 nights. Staff was courteous and housekeeping was good, on schedule everyday. Rooms were smallish but we already knew that so no big deal, were clean and neat. Furniture was a bit outdated, but was okay everything was operational, nothing broken that did not work. Bathrooms were nice, functional, and the hot water was hot LOL! 15 min walk to the Hockey HOF, 20 to 25 min to Air Canada Center, about half an hour to the CN Tower. If you're not into walking taxi fares are very reasonable. The only negative was parking. The parking garage only has a limited amount of spaces, Holiday Inn charges $28 a night to park, outrageous from what I'm used to, so if it's full you're on your own though there is a public lot on Church and Wood alongside the old Maple Leaf Gardens. Overall was a pleasurable stay.

Disgusting. My bathroom had not been cleaned and was filthy. I had to complain THREE times before they came to clean it. I asked to change rooms by that point and they refused. I will never stay here again.

This is the worst 3 star hotel I have ever seen. From broken lock system on our floor they would not fix so we could not get in, to not giving us another room, to not comping us for the blaring alarms at 5am-6am. Also had truoble at check-in with accepting a prepaid mastercard. After all the inconvenience, did not comp us a single thing to make up for our horrible stay and the rooms were below average and the night manager on duty was boths hort with me, and hung up the phone to not deal with the problem There are a million hotels in Toronto, NEVER STAY HERE.

The room was clean and bright. Bathroom with bathtub. Would go again. But expect I price for a breakfast, but Toronto is not quite cheap. On foot, it takes 20 min in the town. 50 metres to the subway. Restaurants and supermarket just outside the door.
