Good location near Pearson International Airport and close to major highways. Stayed for a wedding last weekend. Overall, the banquet hall area was beautiful but the hotel itself needs some updating. Hotel staff were inconsistent either at the front desk or away. Continental breakfast is served daily from 7am — 10am and offers hot food which was a plus. Guest rooms definitely need better lighting and electrical outlets were only located in the center of the room beneath the television. Had it not been for the wedding we were attending, we most likely would not have stayed here.

As we arrived, we found that they were doing two weddings on property. Normally that's no big deal, it's a hotel with a conference center. We were assigned a room and quickly found out the beautiful pictures we saw on BOOKING COMPANY WEBSITE, were merely pictures of their dining room and banquet hall. The hallways were dirty, spots on the roof, and evidence of shoddy, hap-hazard repairs. At check in they insisted on a $150 deposit on my credit card. This was NOWHERE in their BOOKING COMPANY ad. The front desk assured me this would be released when there was no damage. It has not been released yet. If they are going to charge such a ridiculously high deposit, it at least needs to be disclosed up front on BOOKING COMPANY. We had no choice, but to pay it as we had 4 days of vacation in Canada. Upon getting to the room it was clearly an efficiency with a queen bed crammed inside. We barely had room to to the bed. Again, no big deal on that part, But the bathroom was different. The shower was cracked in a variety of spots. There was a weird growth on the mirror. During the night the aforementioned weddings were loud. They kept us awake until 2 AM. Either they placed us right above the wedding, or the walls have ZERO insulation/sound proofing. The latter is most likely with the worst part of the hotel. At night we heard a family in the hallway. One of the members was audibly throwing up. Then there was loud angry shouting.

Wife stayed there. Was given a dirty room. When she complained she was called a liar. Also it took 26 day 18 phone calls and the threat of legal action to get our deposit back (there was no damage or claim thereof). Manager is both rude and doesn't return calls. Staff is also rude expect to get ripped off if you stay here.

Fast internet, excellent breakfast, neat and clean rooms, great ambience and most of all co-operative staff. Overall good stay, I would recommend this hotel for long stay.

Good rates. Clean rooms. Would love to have a private function in the breakfast room.

Sometimes, I wonder if this place is haunted. I went here for a 5 night stay in 2015 with my hubby and our young daughter, in late September. We were waiting for our new apartment to be ready. This one woman at the front desk… gosh, I'll probably never forget her. She was one of the worst hotel employees I have ever met, in any hotel I've ever been to in my entire life, to put it quite frankly. She was rude, she laughed when you complained about anything. She charged us for ridiculous things… and one of the most appalling things of all… it seems like management didn't see a problem with her… even though the housekeeping staff were even complaining about her as well. There was a nice guy there that corrected her foolish mistakes, and was constantly apologizing for her. I do not know why it took me so long to make a review about this place. I suppose I just wanted to forget about our experience. The breakfast was good, and the actual hotel room was decent. It's really old, though. I truly do wonder, if it is haunted. It just is in a very isolated section of Rexdale, and there are no restaurants nearby. You have to walk quite a bit, just to get to a bus shelter. If you want cheap accommodations, be my guest. See what I did there?

The rooms were reasonably clean and the beds and the atmosphere were both strong points. The cleaning staff was a little bit rude and complained about my mess despite leaving a generous tip for them. Experiences with the front desk could have been better although a power failure in the morning one day may have contributed to some of the problems. Overall an enjoyable stay and I'd recommend to someone looking for a sort of older classical charm to their accommodations.

Horrible service, rooms are very small. Booked 15 rooms and was denied a complementary room for bride and groom. We also had their banquet hall booked as well. Strongly recommend not to do business with the hotel.

Front desk staff is great room was clean next morning and breakfast was fresh, I had a 3 day stay and every day went as smooth as possible will stay here again on next business trip very affordable and clean.

Hotel was average at best. Breakfast was basic but it was hot. Worst beds I've ever slept in and getting extra pillows / towels was way more difficult than it should have been.

Nice, clean, quiet. The Wi-Fi is slow but works. Cant stream netflix as quickly as I'd like. The breakfast buffet is great and runs for a long time which is appreciated from those who like to sleep in. Front desk is attentive and courteous. Cleaning staff is friendly and accommodating.

Comfortable bed, small pillows, clean room, TV did not work. Staff made an effort, internet was very slow, room very small.

The room was very nice, elegant and very clean, beds were comfortable, but remote for TV was dead so it was a bit of a nuisance getting out of bed to change and turn off TV but not enough to not make me not wanna come back. Breakfast was a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage etc. Only major issue was we went to bed at 10:30 and at around 11:00 there was a guest yelling in the hallway just outside my room. Police were called and after an hour or so the guest was asked to leave. Not really the hotels fault but the manager on duty should have asked the guest to leave sooner or at least get them out of the hallway so that the guests that were trying to sleep were not disrupted. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Front door did not work. Hot water was sporadic at best and I had two cold showers. Room was clean but dated and beds were not comfortable. However the breakfast was great. Hotel appears to cater to specific events and does not have a business work room or area. Front lobby still stuck in the 1970s and the internet may as well have not existed.

This hotel is okay. Nothing to write home about. The rooms are nice but very old looking. Bed was hard as a rock. The clerk was not very friendly — he wasn't rude or anything, just not friendly. The hotel is clean and the price is right and location is convenient if youre going to the casino or race track though.

It was — 20c & full of snow. Stay way good, It was great value for money. Stay includes free breakfast & free car park next to Airport. Last time I stayed in other hotel near airport which charged $15-20ca everyday. This time I made sure to find hotel with free park.

Hotel was fantastic, service was alright. Called in when leaving Barrie to get 2 rooms. Was told the "out the door total". Drove for 2 hours to get there only to find out that they expected me to double my costs in deposit amounts. Having a credit card on file was not good enough for them and they wouldn't even budge on $20 after the enormous cost to stay for 2 rooms. Staff and hotel are great, the management and policies are absurd.

Our room was clean, no bedbugs, and beautifully decorated. The free breakfast is WONDERFUL and so is the location. The downside is that the rooms are a bit small and the lighting is dim. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

After travelling all day we were ready to settle down in our hotel, little did they make it aware there was going to be a party downstairs when we booked. Wanting to sleep after being exhausted after a long day we were kept up by the extremely loud floor shaking noise until 2am and when we complained and asked for a refund they refused and said it was not their problem. If I could rate this any less than a 1 I would. If you go here you will regret every second of it.

I have never written a review before, but I would not want anyone to go through what I had to go through over the weekend with this "hotel". I Stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a wedding. I traveled all the way from NJ. My experience with this hotel was horrible from check in to check out. When we arrived to check in I was paying my balance with a debit card w/o a chip reader. The receptionist ARCHIE was very rude and proceeded to tell me he does not accept my card after swiping it twice. ARCHIE was telling me to take money out of their ATM or he will not take my debit card. The third swipe I leaned over to look at the card reader and it said approved… interesting. I also paid my security deposit in cash. The rooms were decent, but housekeeping did not change sheets barely cleaned the room each day. The workers were very rude, I asked for directions and one lady kept walking. The next day of my stay ARCHIE from the front desk saw us walking into the building and asked who stayed in what room. After we answered he said nothing at all. My cousin went to the front desk to see what the issue was and he said my card was charged for the wrong rate (i needed to pay more) he will need to adjust it. After the message was relayed to me I went down to the front desk. Archie argued with me and refused to let me speak with his manager. I booked my hotel 9/10 my stay was on 9/30 nobody contacted me about these adjustments.

Was there attending a party at the hall. The food tasted ok. The appetizers seem to be a little bit cold. The sound system is actually quite nice. For a party we had a great time dancing. It seemed like we were at a club. Sound system is great. Staff are friendly.

Moldy ceiling in the room and almost stoned in the bathroom. Takes several attempts to unbar the front door. Low-functioning air conditioning.

The hotel is in a quiet area near the airport. The rooms were small but clean. They have a good breakfast and free parking. It worked well for our one night stay in Toronto.

The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean but don't expect any using special, we paid for a jacuzzi but it leaked once we started the jets. The stay was adequate but not for the price we paid.

Breakfast egg/sausage/bacon, room 116 messy.

Breakfast was great. They actually had bacon and crisp home fries. The eggs need a little work. Another issue was that my room key had stopped working multiple times and had to get it reprogrammed. Over all it is a good hotel and will probably stay again.

Cleanliness of the awful places we had to change rooms because the first smelled of urine the room window looks out over the dining room so noisy room! We pass 4days and not once they have to change the sheets or made the household intake redo our bed…
Dubious Trace on the walls and on the carpet… Very expensive for the quality I do not recommend it.

The experience was correct. Generous continental breakfast included. We smelled a cigarette in our room. The manager immediately changed our room. Good service.

The hotel is relatively inexpensive, but you must book it online to save yourself a couple of box, maybe 20 at least. The stay was okay, in the evening the front desk lady had good manner and had a good costumer service experience, but later the night shift, they were kind of bossy style. We needed an extra blanket and a pillow and had to go around for couple of times. Anyway, it wasn't that bad at all. They have plenty of parking area which is good and you do not need to pay for parking too.

We asked perhaps 4 our 5 Foix for oreilltures and blankets with no response. The lunch is Degeulasse and the receptionist does not understand an English not. I never go back.

Had a Wonderful stay, the atmosphere at this hotel is unbeatable. I picked their Jacuzzi room that had 2 Washrooms, 3 Tv's 1 little living room and a very comfortable queen bed (can't say that for most hotels) The staff made my stay nice and easy, they're wonderful with asking questions about the city, directions & POI's. Breakfast was fresh & delicious. Parking & High-Speed Internet was free. I would definitely stay here again & would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the airport for a good rate. Thank you again to the staff at Woodbine Hotel for the awesome stay. I will be back!

I had the best stay here, the staff is so nice the service is unreal and the breakfast is probably the best hotel breakfast. I needed two extra pillows and they brought them to my room with no hesitation. I wanted a couple of water bottles and they brought those as well. I was overwhelmed by the cleanliness and service of the hotel. I live north and every time I want to stay south or I have to go to the airport this is the only hotel I stay it. Ive recommended multiple friends to stay at this hotel and they love it just as much as I do. oh and best of all, their rates are SO LOW! I am a return customer and always will be. I want to thank all the staff at Woodbine Hotel for their service.

One of the most pleasant stay I've ever had at a hotel. Highly reccomend anyone in the gta to come here. I had a suite and it was absolutely amazing! Breakfast is also very good. Very clean and luxurious place to stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Terrible experience here. Dont even have it on their website, even though they lied to my face and said they did… that a security deposit of $100 is needed. Further to that they lied to my face about other things and were very rude. I was staying over night from 8pm-6am to write an exam near by. I bought the room on Hotwire because I am low on funds and the rating from hotwire seemed fine. Was it ever wrong. Not to mention the flooring and walls are cracking. The curtains dont close so you only have those thin white curtains to stop the parking lot lights from coming in which dont work. The "clean towel" I unfolded had blood on it! the bathmat was covered in black mould. The toilet plugged and they had "not staff" at night to bring a plunger. What about people who need something like an extra mattress or pillow? The owner's son was the manager I spoke with and told me to cancel my reservation and go to another hotel because I did not have enough money to pay for the security deposit even though I paid for the room. They finally let me pay $50 off my debit which was for a bill and so my bill bounced and I was charged $48 NSF. Thanks for treating students like trash who are on tight budgets. owner's son was beligerent and rude and would do nothing to accomodate me. I even suggested they take my credit card info down or my license. I am a non smoker and I dont destory things. he said the security deposit was on the website. I just checked it is not.

I decided to book it because of the low cost. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the room in very good condition and the hotel environment very comfortable. The staff were very courteous (in the few interactions we had with them) and the rooms were quiet. The drive into the city was quick and painless, and the public transit is effective. This hotel was spectacular at low price and well worth the stay!

Typical low cost hotel. Looks like an abondond place though. I won't stay there again.

Horrible. Rooms so small walls almost touched bed. NO HOT water. That's right-none. And I was not compensated for the shower I could not take because it was so dang cold. Strongly advise not staying here.

Got a great deal on Hotwire. The experience was really good value for the price. The food at breakfast was nice scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, plus all the usual toast, cereal etc. There was a huge melon tray. The hotel is very nice. The staff were courteous. The room was spacious and comfortable. I slept well.
