Everything at the hotel was great! Had a great sleep, stay, etc. Only thing I would comment on was how cold it is in the pool area, the rooms were very dry, and the pool water level was low as there was a fairly big drop off coming down the water slide. (especially for smaller children) all hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating!

Clean room however noisy no fault of hotel but disrespectful guests. Friendly staff.

Don't ever book an event at this place — there is nowhere to unload anything and they scream at you the entire time that you'll be towed away if you dont move.

Nice place kids love the pool.
Though its warm resturants nice.
Rooms are nice in newer section.

Noisy rooms, other guests knocking loudly on doors in the middle of the night, small beds. A/C was drowning out some of the noise till it stopped working lol. All in all… very uncomfortable.

Very clean, beautiful rooms. They have feather pillows which im allergic to but was so happy when housekeeping showed up with none feather ones. Wonderful food. We will definitely stay again.

Our daughter has a heart condition so she cant go in cold pools, usually lasts 10 minutes in any pools before she's short of breath. She was in the pool here for over an hour with no issues. Warmest pool I've ever been in. Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, laminate flooring in the rooms is different but liked it.

Friendly staff, pool chemicals not in balance, disgusting fettuccine and long hair in my bed when I folded back the sheets. Yuk!
Nice air conditioner. Was booked with a view… yeah construction going on so… not such a great view… Whatever… slept ok.

Lobby and function areas are very nice, but room I was in was only passable, ripped carpet, mostly clean. Pool is nice, water is warm and the waterside was good. Lots of close shopping, free parking available.

It's a hotel like any other, the floor in our room is easy to clean, no carpet which is good. Amenities were always stocked. Service is decent, the food in the restaurant I did not care for. Could not finish my meal. It was an Irish stew, it was heavy on the gravy and the meat was dry. Service was good. They do offer complimentary airport shuttle service which is great! And they are close to the airport. Wi-Fi was okay.

The hotel is wonderful. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the room plus all the amenities. The restaurant has good food for a fair price. The room was clean and well-furnished, with both a mini fridge and microwave. The pool had a large waterslide. My only complaint would be that the work-out room was a little small and not very well ventilated (it got hot in there extremely quickly, and I was by myself) but otherwise everything was great.

Beautiful, historic hotel recently renovated to become a luxurious home of hospitality and comfort. Providing decadent ambience, a rich variety of food and beverage options, and a fantastic brunch upstairs which gets better every time. I can personally confirm that the core staff has been serving the needs of the Viscount's guests for decades, and that sense of family and community has a strong presence in every visit.

We booked the hotel for a hockey tournament and it was awesome! They put us on our own floor so we didn't disturb other guests. Not that we were loud and crazy but we do wander back and forth from room to room. The location was good for us as well. We had fun with karaoke in the lounge. Overall the experience was very good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, even non-hockey people!

Clean if not annoying because of all of the construction that has been happening. Decent pool and water area. Rooms are clean and decently sized. The room we were in had a small microwave and fridge and the Keurig machines that are in every hotel. Overall it was just like every other hotel out there.

Attended a meeting in one of the conference halls. Don't have much to add about rooms. Catering Staff was excellent. Washrooms are clean. Parking seems to be a bit of an issue.

Staff were friendly and the room was clean and easy to find. Bathrooms were also in real good shape.

Ive never been staying there but going there for a cold one and some slot, priceless! Staffs are kind and good services! Highly recommend!

Very clean rooms, great staff. Affordable rooms. We didn't get to go swimming because we came late and left early the next day, but would have loved spending time there.

The place is OK as it is close to Polo Park but road 90 make a lot of noise.

The location of the hotel is convenient if you are staying from out of town its only a block from polo park shopping center and restaurants. The room itself was decent but don't expect to be making coffee strong enough to wake you up, the coffee maker is weak. Service itself was great.

We stayed in the room with the bunk beds. Me and my friend took our girls (her 3 my 2) for some fun in the city. They had a blast in the pools and the room was perfect for us to relax while the kids played in the bunk bed room! Definitely go there again.

Not pleased at all with the Sunday buffet… I went and ended up with food poisoning. Will never go back. The staff at the area where the; quiche, meat-balls, bacon and sausages were kept — was NOT properly trained for food handling… I'm quite sure my food poisoning was caused by improperly cooked sausages. They were cold. Also… The ability to speak English should NOT be a 2nd language to staff who work at a food table serving the public. Would not recommend. Will NEVER return again.

Attended a meeting at one of the rooms at the hotel. We had to trouble getting into our room and needed to go back to the front desk to get another key. The room was set up with tables and chairs. It was simple but got the job done. My one complaint, other then our first key not working, was that there was water glasses on the tables for us to use, but there was no water for us to drink. We had to fill our glasses up in the washroom if we wanted a drink.

Nice hotel food is good… but had bag stolen first night there… someone smash window in first floor room and took bag that had clothes in for the weekend… other then that room was clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the Viscount Gort Hotel while in Winnipeg and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations. We had amazing service throughout the hotel. Staff members were always extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed many great meals at the restaurant… the food was awesome! Our room was very clean and super quaint. Another bonus was the swimming area. The kids loved the pool. The waterslide was certainly a huge hit! A great hotel and I would not hesitate to stay again… it was a wonderful experience. Thanks!

The hotel was seemingly very nice. But sadly I was put in a part of the hotel that I believe was being renovated. There was no balcony and parts of the room were visibly old and worn down. I could even physically remove the bed board from the wall, as well as the locks and bathroom being outdated. While the rest of the hotel seemed very modern and ahead of the times, this section lacked all of that, which was slightly upsetting due to the fact that I payed the same as anyone else staying at the hotel. The only real upside was the fact that I could view my car from my room, which is usually only a plus in motels.

Attended and helped prepare a social event there and stayed overnight. Rooms were decent and clean. Event room was nice. Would stay and hold an event there again. 3rd floor has a pool and some arcade machines. Staff was helpful.

Had a delicious lunch there today with friends. Melissa was a great waitress. Reasonably priced menu. Also a lunch buffet, reasonably priced but too many selections for lunch. The Viscount Gort has done a good job of maintaining and modernizing the facility over the years. It is a great meal option any time of day.

We staid in the kind deluxe sweet. Love the space it offered as we had 2 kids with us who go to bed a lot earlier than us. They loved the water slide, although 1 night the pools were all freezing — the next morning they weren't bad — was a bit tricky planning to go swimming with a toddler.
Breakfast at the gort restaurant was inexpensive and delicious, and all staff we spoke to were friendly and accommodating. They didn't ask how the stay was when I checked out, but all staff were friendly to deal with. We staid on the 6th floor on west side and it was very noisy traffic wise all day and night/ that's only the only downside we really saw. Your across from the fire hall and hear sirens constantly. Rooms were clean and they offered a lot of free amenities if you forgot you own! Would still stay here again!

Had a lovely time at our Christmas party. Amazing dinner just like last year! Great service and friendly, attentive staff.

Not happy at all with my stay. My view is covered by a garbage container, and I can't trade rooms either! I had asked for a play pen for my 6 month old and nothing was brought to the room. Very loud as you can hear all traffic and planes. I had heard it was a good hotel to stay at but I would never come back, sadly to say! They should find a new spot for the garbage container!

I attended was a vendor at a Holiday Craft Sale at the Viscount Gort. Staff was courteous, food delivery was delicious and prompt. Facility was clean and welcoming. Parking is not the greatest but this was due to location.

We weren’t informed that there would be construction outside our pet friendly room (which smelled strong of dog urine) and were woken up to loud, cussing construction workers and banging extremely early. We also found a used syringe by our parked car and informed the front desk when we arrived for our evening. Next morning it was still there. Told them again and were told that they were pretty sure it was a diabetic needle, not a drug users. Communicable disease can come from a diabetic or a drug user… I don’t care, remove it. They did in the end reduce our room price, which bumped them up from one star to two, but don’t think we’ll be going again.

Wonderful staff, very attentive to the clients needs. Rooms are very clean and reasonably priced. The food served is very good. All in all, a fantastic place with a great location and banquet facilities to serve most needs! 5 stars!

Attended a function in one of the conference rooms. The building was very clean, food served was nicely prepared, and staff were quick to solve any issues. Only downfall was parking. I found a spot in the lot across the street, but it took a while to get across with morning traffic.

Nice hotel good bar good happy hour prices good food.

The hotel provided a great sized room for our company event. 30 of u were comfortably seated.

Attended a job fair that was poorly organized. A couple businesses didn't make it and some required to many qualifications. It didn't include enough businesses for the general public and some we're not accessible for those using public transport. The hotel. The Experience itself was fine though with some snacks and water available for those attending. In the future the organizers need to better look at their business choices with clearer information on the event page.

The conference facilities are very good. Clean and well organized. Always professional staff. Food is okay.

It is a nice hotel considering they are still doing renovations on the outside of the building and hopefully they will have them done soon.

They have fantastic staff. So will to help when asked. Hotel is clean and very up to date.

The new renovations are nice. We visited for a social function. The wait staff for our function was aloof almost to the point of rude. The food wasn't the best the best either. Not sure I would ever book there myself.

I was surprised by the renovated lounge on karaoke night. I would go back for the chill atmosphere and cheap $4 vodka cranberry drinks.

Met out of town family for lunch. Had the buffet lunch. The selection of items in the buffet were satisfactory. Very good cream of mushroom soup. There were about 6 pasta type cold salads, along with a few items to make your own tossed or caesar salad. The normal fair for cut up fruit was available plus some a delicious black forest cake, chocolate cake and slices. The hot portion of the buffet had a meat lasagna, barbecue short ribs, which were very tasty, scalloped potatoes and roast beef. Service was very good. Decor was clean and up to date. Overall a very nice place to dine.

Had mother's day brunch here with the family. Good food for a good price. I've definitely had worse food for more $ elsewhere. Would definitely recommend for a gathering. Everyone enjoyed it.

We were at a grad dinner and dance. The staff were all polite and helpful. The event was taken very seriously. Exceptional service.

The lobby looked regal and grand. The hallway to our room nrededicated more lighti g and the carpet had seen better days. The room faced onto a busy bypass and main street. The roar of traffic could be heard in our room with the window shut and the air conditioner running. The room was not new looking and could use nicer bedding and sheets. Definitely not a $190 a night room, at best after taxes and "service amenities" it would be $100 a night room.

Room was good pool was fine parking was not very good do to upgrades but it was fine and understandable.

I've attended multiple events with the banquet/ambassador halls as well as stayed overnight. Excellent customer service!

I lost something in my room and I got horrible horrible customer service trying to figure out if my items were left in the room. All weekend we thought the staff had an attitude with us, no ones forcing you to work in the device industry!

Went to this hotel for an event. Very nice place and clean. Recommend for anyone who needs a venue.

Stayed for the night after girlfriends work party. Room was nicely clean and accommodating. Hardly any noise outside our room after the door was closed. One of the best hotel beds we have ever stayed in. Also room service deserved an A+

The other daycmy car died on portage avenue. As I was coasting along I was able to pull into the Viscount Gort parking lot in the fire lane. I was unable to get my car started right away so I was just sitting there. A lady honked at me as she was trying to back out, as if I was in the way. I wasn't. She was just a moron. Eventually I got my car started and went on my way.

Modern lobby and hallways — it made for a good impression. Our room had no issues, and my family had a comfortable stay. The beds are on casters, so we were also able to move our two queen beds together to make a super bed! Our room had a microwave, fridge and good counter space — a bonus for a family when you have to prep snacks and light meals. Try to request a 3rd floor room, as the pool, ice machine and exercise room are on that floor. However, I also noticed that the 2nd floor rooms open onto a semi-private open space that also has a spiral staircase onto the pool deck. Might be worth it for families. We'd go back again!

Great rooms, great service but the restaurant is the real selling point. Great food and inexpensive, it makes staying in winnipeg easy.

Stayed for a day. Worth the money. Carpets are super old (in hallways), not as modern as I thought. Experience at the front desk was bad. Alishia (or similar name) at front desk should not work in hospitality industry. Acted as we are nuisance for her. She also ask us *do you use the pool* in a tone *do you really want to use my pool*. It is complementary, why didtnt she give the damn tag, its on her hand already. At any hotel people at the front desk is nice and smilly. This place look like smile fee zone with that girl. By the way Cleaning ladies are super awesome. One more thing, lots of cigerate buds at the front. Please clean that.
