Excellent accommodations and service! Spencer made our quick trip from Vancouver truly memorable! Greatly appreciated the upgrade, free bottle of wine and restaurant credit. We loved it and will be back.

The hotel is very nice since the major renovations. Rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated in a modern West coast style. The views overlooking Ganges Harbour are spectacular. However, tho the restaurant has been completely rebuilt and is quite a nice setting, our experiences with the food have not been that great. On more than one occasion food that should have been served hot was warm at best, and my last meal there (a hamburger plate) was disappointing. Hopefully they can get things on track with the restaurant, as the setting is really quite nice.

I have 30 + experience in hospitality and ba background in carpentry/woodworking So many unique and tasteful combinations of materials… Style The beds ares like giant hug pillows you never want to leave… A definite Gem in the works… The staff Fun friendly and ISLAND… they give you such a sense of ease…

Hotel has almost zero curb appeal. Part of the front elevation is old and run down so at first glance it looks like the place e is out of business. Seems like the developer would renovate that part first in lieu of doing the rear of the building. Regardless of the street view the newly renovated portion is very nice. The rooms are spacious clean and the beds are super comfortable. The front rooms have a nice view of the harbor. The rear rooms have zero view, except for a parking lot. Hopefully the owners will get the exterior looking as nice as the interior soon.

Ask for the newly renovated rooms with harbour view. Clean, modern, quiet, comfortable bed. Will definitely return for future visits.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The front counter staff were friendly and attentive. The room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is being renovated so all the furniture is new and current. I recommend this hotel for a vacation.

The location and views are excellent; however, the beds are so uncomfortable I'm not sure I would ever stay here again. It's great to be able to walk to town, and stumble home from Moby's, but I also like a good night's sleep. The food is okay, but not great for the price.

Food ok, though service less so. Is the restaurant a transplant from Calgary, Alberta? Restaurant is at the back, though there is a “summer patio” at the front.

I have eaten in the restaurant twice now, at the recommendation of some locals. The menu was small and diverse. I have a rule, try the simple things, and if they are good move on to the more complex items. The arugula goat cheese salad was good. The stuffed eggplant was cooked well. The filling was not as advertised there was quinoa instead of rice, the sweetness of the currents took away from the overall taste and was a bit of a disappointment. The burger was okay, nothing stood out. The room it self was full both times I've been. Hard to locate if you're new to the surrounding, and no signage. It feels like a cross between a sports bar and someone's rec room. No particular vibe, and nothing really stood out.

The Harbor House has renovated yet again. The service was adequate and the presentation on the burger was better than the flavor! I can see potential with the setup and I hear they have live bands.

Woodleys great tasting burger at a great price! Go get one!

Room was nice and new but 59 degrees when we got in at midnight so turning on the heat when you know you have guests coming would be nice. Eggs Benedict at breakfast was dry/over done …

The renovations are great. Simple but clean and modern rooms, beautiful views, and staff was very kind and helpful. Will absolutely stay here again!

Very basic accommodations but undergoing renovations. Very close to local shops and the pub across the street. Very friendly staff. Good sized room and the bed was comfortable.

Currently under construction but you can see it will look fresh and clean when done. The room was dated looking. Had to check in at 11pm but the front desk made sure to call me personally to say they close at 10pm and left my key and detailed instructions to get to our room as well as their personal phone number in case I got lost or needed help.

While under construction, surprised how nice and clean the new rooms are. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel provides a place to sleep, bathrooms, and what you would expect on Salt Spring. The furniture is out dated and style is aged. The breakfast offers little selection. My main issue is the high price for a lack of services. Not worth the expense.

It's a good motel, cheap and clean. Wifi doesn't reach far from the lobby, but the linens are nice and the beds are relatively comfortable. I understand that this was once a great hotel with an adjacent farm and a farm to table restaurant. That's in the past now, I'm afraid. This is on par with any decent 1 star motel, you get what you pay for. They should really take down the website with all the beautiful food and menus and such, it's better to manage expectations.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Harbour House on July 25, 2015. The staff especially Laura our event coordinator, Jane and Don went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our wedding day was everything I had hoped it would be. Thank you.

Let me tell you about my experience at the harbor house restaurant. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my 21 years on this planet. I had informed the restaurant I was celebrating my girlfriends 21st birthday when I made reservations. When we arrived we were told to sit wherever we liked. It took 10 minutes for us to receive water and menu's. First off I ordered a beer. Only after I finished the beer I noticed the bottom of the inside of the mug was coated with blue ink (were they using this to hold pens?!? ). I was pretty discussed expecting the meal to be comped the waiter/bartender told me the beer was "on him". After that incident we waited 10 more minutes when I had to call over the waiter to order food. The food was a long wait and it was much longer as we watched a table next to us be served bread and oil. While we received none. I asked the waiter if he was going to bring us bread to which he replied sorry I forgot. The bread he brought us was cold and so saturated with oil that upon squeezing it with my fingers it expelled a large amount of oil on to the plate. My girlfriend ordered a steak which she asked to be cooked medium. It came extremely overdone. Not to mention the steak was hardly a half inch thick. (Keep in mind this is a $26 steak. ) The steak was also smothered in blue cheese which was not mentioned on the menu. After returning the steak (which I have actually never done at a restaurant) I tried my lamb burger.

Rooms very outdated the shower looks like u would be dirtier if u use it. Very disappointed.

The food here is exceptionally good — — and is produced locally whenever possible — — the servers are very kind. I love this restaurant that overlooks the Harbour.

Free upgrade! Nice restaurant, but service can be slow…

The best in local and fresh from their garden ingredients make the food superb, while enjoying the views of Ganges harbor make the Harbor House one of my favorite places.
