Harrison Village Motel Inn

Absolutely dirty, stinky, dingy, dark place. The price is the same as Harrison Spa & Resort. I do not recommend it to anyone. Does not look clean or bright like the photos on the website. Don’t be fooled! I’d give no stars if I could!

Going above and beyond when it comes to writing an online review is not something I`d normally do. However, when it comes to this particular experience, I feel it is necessary. Upon my arrival and checking in to the room, although the room appeared to be decently clean, the bedding was not — sheets with stains along with the pillow covers. The counter tops also had several stains. The smell of the room was horrific as well. These were all things my girlfriend and I were going to overlook because it was the last room available in Harrison Hot Springs for long weekend. We didn`t care that it was a cheap room and yes, we didn`t expect it to be high class nor even average. An unfortunate family emergency happened within 20 minutes of checking in to the room and my girlfriend and I were forced to leave. I went back to the office area so that I could explain the situation to the receptionist. After explaining the conversation, I kindly asked if it was possible to at least receive a partial refund since I knew a full refund was not going to happen. The lady refused to give any form of compensation nor refund, even though it was still very early in the day, around 3:20pm, only 20 minutes after check in time, which is 3:00pm. What I think is the best part about this whole situation is that I reserved the room that sleeps over 10 people because it has 4 double beds and a pull out couch. The room was $208 for the night due to its size and how many people it sleeps.

Dirtiest place I have EVER stayed. Black mold, spider webs, dirt, stink and cigarette smoke. Unimpressed with the entire place, from service to cleanliness.

If I could give a negative number of stars I would. Dirty, nothing works, customer service doesn't exist. The place is so below the standard that I couldn't believe it possible in developed country in popular tourist attractive location. Nothing right with this place.

Overall this was a pretty terrible experience. If you want to teach your children what poor living conditions are like, this would be a great place to do it! There’s mold on the walls in the bathroom, the beds were highly uncomfortable and questionably clean, much like the dishes in the cupboards. As I first took out a cup, there was a ring of what looked like either old coffee or tea. There was also a printed sign that threatened to fine guests $75 if dishes were left unclean. They did not leave us a sponge to clean them with. Obviously, they don’t come in and check, because they were evidently not clean when we came in. Looking back, I suppose the man who showed us the room quickly flushing the toilet as we came in was already a red flag but we decided to take a chance. I managed to step on the plug of a Lamp on the floor several times throughout our stay, because for whatever reason, they put a lamp on the bedside table with no outlet in sight to plug it into. While looking through the cupboards, we quickly discovered that there was a pot lid, but alas, no pot in sight! None of the cutlery matched which begs the question, where did they find it? When I called the front desk, who was apparently not actually at the establishment at the time, she was very little help and had told me the pot has probably been stolen.

I don't even know where to begin. I would have given this place a zero if it were possible. This place was appalling and I cannot understand how they can be allowed to stay open for business. We were not expecting anything fancy, BUT we do expect places we stay at to at least be clean. This motel had mold all throughout the suite, smelled of cigarette smoke and dust, was littered with dead and live bugs and did not meet any of the simple human needs of a safe place to stay. I slept on top of the bed sheets, as I had zero faith in them having been cleaned any time recently. I feel bad for the people who stayed below us, as every step we took throughout our suite make noise, regardless of how light we were stepping. Dishes were provided, but smelled dirty and there was a notice threatening of a $75 fine if any dishes were left unwashed (how is that even a thing!? ). I'm sure the people who run this place are kind, but they certainly have zero sense in how to run a hotel. If we weren't desperate, we definitely would have left and I guess that's all this place has going for it… there was nothing else available for our date. It is also situated across from the lake which is nice. We agreed that we felt as though we were in a horror movie and could not stop talking about the filth of the place. As we walked out the next morning I had a spider propel down onto my face and I feel like this summed up our visit. Stay away.

Not the best experience you want to go through… There was mold in something in the bathroom… the shower smells gross. The couch smells funny… in one of our beds, there was a red stain in or under the red sheet… even though this place is a motel, the owner should take more time to clean up the place properly… so in other words: This was the worst place, let alone a motel, I've ever stayed in… the only thing that was great was the location of how close it was to the beach and all the stores, restaurants and activities…

It was a dump no room service door fell off the hindge toliet pluged had to get plunger and fix myself last night power went out to half my room no hot water they get your money and your on your own wouldn't let my dog stay there would say never stay here went with web site pics must have been taken 15 years ago DONT STAY HERE spend the extra money for a nice place.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is older some rooms very nice clean and updated at a Very reasonable price. Don't complain if you can't find Any available room in town and choose a $100 a night room on the lake that hasn't been renovated. I paid $600 for 2 nights in a small room in the older part of the Hot Springs Hotel had kids running up and down the halls and neighbours making whoopie. That's what people do in hotels.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It is old, run down and uncleanly. We had to kill 5 spiders in the room before we could even sleep. The patio door was broken and didn't lock. The only entrance to the second floor is up a rickety spiral staircase. We paid far more than what this hotel is worth. The only "good" part is the location, but even then it is not worth it to stay here.

Aweful! The place is old and needing a lot of repairs. The bathtub caulking was all molding znd tiles cracked. The floors old and cracking. There is a bar right next door that will keep you awake znd our neighbors that night were having a drunken fight and banging on all the walls. Everything is old. Needs updating for sure. Top to bottom!

Decent place close to the lake.

We were in a 1 bedroom with Queen and futon, bathroom/tub/shower, powder area, large, well stocked, eat-in kitchen. Although the suite had windows opening to interior halls, the use of the 2nd floor patio/deck with the best view of Harrison Lake more than compensated! Debbie and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. Debbie went out of her way to help us (outside the box) on more than 1 occasion. Cleanliness was excellent. Parking was good even on a busy "event" weekend. We have recommended this motel to all our west coast friends and family as well as friends back home in Ontario! WELL DONE.
