Review of Knights Inn Lethbridge 2*

I would NOT recommend this hotel! The staff/owners are rude rude RUDE! I was a visitor of someone staying there. The way I heard the staff/management talk to them was horrific. The things they said was so unbelievably rude and judgemental — I still can't believe it and not only that but the staff/management actually LIED and made things up to keet the $300 cash deposit. The people staying at this horrible place did so because they did not require a credit card. My friends husband had been the victim of a brutal attack and was lucky to be alive. He was hospitalized for a week before going to the hotel. He was brutally beaten and bruised from head to toe. He without a doubt looked rough. The management of this place treated them as if they were the attackers. As if they were the criminals. One front desk lady actually told them that my friends husband scared her and she wouldn't deal with him… because of the way he looked! Are you kidding me? He was also accused of being a drug addict and "on drugs" — yes the poor guy was taking pain killers and probably groggy. Yes he slurred his words a little but who were they to judge? He's lucky to be alive — some slurred words are minor issues. Finally I talked my friends into leaving and going elsewhere and when they did? The staff told my friend that they would not be getting their $300 deposit back! The first reason was MY dog whom I tied up outside the room on two seperate occasions because it was too hot to keep her inside the car. The staff said that they had a dog inside a non-pet friendly room. The dog was NEVER inside. Not once. Later they were told the reason was ruined sheets and pillow case. My friends husband had gotten some blood from wounds he had in the bed sheets. It was unintentional of course, regardless $300 for used sheets? The staff also said that my friends caused plumbing issues from flushing something down the toilet that didn't belong (they did not experience any plumbing issues) … I could go on and on about this place and the management here… how the staff was SO nosey they would spend ridiculous amounts of time sweeping right outside the open window. How they would refuse to patch calls through to the room. How they accused people of having extra people staying in the rooms. It was not just my friends — after thumbs horrific experience I spoke with other guests and quickly found out that so many others had similar issues with this place. I have recommended that my friends file a civil suit and take them to court. If more people stood up snd dnsf.
