I’m actually still staying at the hotel… and the employees there, maybe not all of them but one of them for sure needs to work on customer service skills a great deal. Some lady calls and says that She was informed that I have a dog in my room to which I replied yes. She said well we have designated the first floor for people that have pets and that I didn’t sign the proper paperwork required when bringing a pet to the hotel, and that there is a 25$ charge per day. I …replied that I was unaware of this and that I did ask if it was pet friendly while booking the room over the phone. She replied to me in a very rude tone “well did you tell them you had a dog? ” To which I said, no I did not think I needed to be that specific… When I got to the hotel (dog in tow) why did your employees not question this? They saw me at least twice with the dog going to the room. You know what would have been a more professional way of handling this issue? I will tell you as you obviously need a crash course… “Hi sir, there seems to be a miscommunication with the booking, our employees here have put you in a room on the wrong floor as they failed to take notice that you had a pet (60 lbs dog) etc etc etc… TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR CARELESS ACTIONS, AS A CUSTOMER I DO NOT KNOW YOUR RULES AND REGULATIONS… maybe even have one of them attend a people skills course FFS! Room 305 if you want to argue this any further! Disrespectful and absolutely down right ridiculous that I received a phone call like that! Just another Fort Mcmurray employee who has absolutely zero F***S to give about their job!
