The worst experience ever!
cheap cold breakfast, hot tub under construction, elevator to fifth floor not working, no customer washroom in the main floor, staff asked us to go to Mac Donald's next door or wait till we check in!
Don't recommend!

Very neat room. Staff were helpful.

A waste of time and money. Their customer service is really bad and one of the worst I've ever seen, their receptionist (female with short multi color hair) was very rude to me and my boyfriend that we left without checking in. Don't go there!

Verbal harassment and threatening to call the police from an employee (Marilyn) when all we asked is to get a refund and get our stuff from a room I paid for in advance, room too cold, cannot adjust the temperature, bathroom door and toilet too close together, room not showing sanitized stickers or card as proof of safety, and overcharge on my account. Refund my money right away and train your staff to adhere to the policies and laws regulated to businesses to ensure that the safety of the guest is a priority. I will submit a claim report for inadequate service, harassment, and Rip-Off to Service Canada if this will not be addressed right away. everyone else, beware and check the reviews and comments from them! they are surely as bad as what you see here! (from a traumatized guest! )

Why I worked there nasty owner called the staff theirs and treats them like slaves and does not respect regulors I bought gift card out of my own pocket kuz regular lost something that made that hotel a lot of money kuz she would not.

Clean hotel and great staff at a great price. The only down sides were the continental breakfast could have used a variety of fruit. The only fruit they served was red delicious apples and the first night of our stay the people in the room above us made a lot of noise but that is not really the hotels fault.

Very quiet, but room service could have taken a lot more time and consideration for there guests.

What a mistake it was staying here! By far the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. They put us in a room on the ground floor out by the entrance right next to the street and the train tracks. Between the constant loud talking and stomping up and down the stairs of people outside our window and the loud traffic and the train literally going by ever 5 minutes you would have to be deaf to get any sleep or relaxation here. Save yourself a huge headache and spend a few extra dollars to get a good room at a 4 star hotel like the Best Western Plus. Needless to say I would not stay at this Econo Lodge again even if the room was Free! Just awful.

Rude disrespectful manager called my family members charity case as they asked about breakfast there. I would not reccomend this Inn!

Simple, clean room. Sheets were clean but were very poorly fitted to the bed and in the wrong order. Padded sheet was above the sheets but below the heavy sheet. Never seen sheets done this way. Friend in the military said the same thing. Staff were polite and professional but not friendly.

Room was nice. Spent a long time in the pool. We enjoy the breakfast in the morning. Prices were higher because of stampede but there were no other options. We've stayed here twice now and enjoyed it.

Warning do not book this hotel. They are complete frauds. They have charged me 998 CAD for a reservation that is 2 months away and was booked by mistake and we called them within 24 hours to correct this. I have called them 7 times to discuss this in the last 6 days and they have not refunded me a cent. Staff is incredibly rude. Completely appalled at how this chain operates.

Rude disrespectful staff or manager. We got charged 1000 for a cancelled reservation, cancelled 2 months out and cancelled 24 hours after it was made by mistake. This hotel is incredibly poorly managed, they make money by setting incredibly unreasonable cancellation policies, can’t imagine your experience will be any better reading other people’s reviews. You don’t need this, stay somewhere else.

Arrived to hotel after a long drive from out of town. Had booked a room the night before, They had no clue who we were when we arrived until I ahowed our conformation from Priceline. They then said they had overbooked us and told us Priceline ahould of told us they had to cancel pur room. We called Priceline who had no clue the room was cancelled and had not recived anything from the hotel to indicate this. These guys overbooked themselves and tried to blame someone else. Do not book with them in advance, or you may end up stuck like we were. Last minuete and no other optiona nearby.

Tons of rooms with a fair amount of space. Fair price for what you get. Elevator is usually slow and wet due to pool swimmers dripping. The breakfast was included and actually alright. Parking lot was under construction so hard to get around, but otherwise a good hotel for a quick cheap stay.

I like very much the hotel. It's simple and cozy. The attendance is nice and our room is well clean. The breakfast is ok, not so much. I certainly will stay here next time!

So I’m not from Calgary to start off with and I wasn’t awair there was two econolodges in the same area visible from the Trans Canada hwy and when I booked no one clarified that for me. My mother is handicapped and needing to be in a wheel chair at all times and I am 8 months pregnant and unloaded our car and got up to the front desk just to find out we were at the wrong inn. I pleaded with the front desk lady named Marilyn for her assistance on possibly transferring our reservation to the econolodge we arrived at all the be told no. She called the other econoldge to verify that’s where we reserved for and when I tried to ask to speak to the front desk person that was on the phone to beg for their help she just hung up. I was sickened with the assistance from this woman! She wouldn’t give me a chance to even talk to the other lodge. She was indifferent, condescending, and lacked any compassion and empathy with respect to our physical challenges. Based on how she treated us we would never recommend this place to anyone! If this is how econolodge personelle represent the company and treat their customers god help us especially the handicapped and pregnant women out there. I’ve dealt with customer service for over 10 years. This women made me feel like I wasn’t worthy of her time and effort I would never wish this on anyone. How can someone be so cold and just turn their back with out a care in the world to just help a person.

I liked it. Fair price and pretty close to downtown (by car). My only complaint it was the breakfast, not so tasty.

What they are saying is a lie! *** Stayed here two nights. Although I paid for each night in advance the hotel holds 100$ per night on the credit card as a deposit — so 200$ in total on hold for two nights plus the booking of two nights. I checked out and it has already been five days since I was there and still my credit card is showing 200$ on hold. I dislike hotels that hold deposits for nearly a week after you check in. I was happy with the hotel but would've stayed elswhere to not have my credit card blocked at 100$ a day.

Clean, quiet, and friendly staff. Close to the Ctrain station for ease of getting around.

Not bad, could use some extra effort on cleaning. All the important things were clean, just found some dry spilled wine under the phone. Beds, bathroom and floors were all good though. Breakfast included was quite simple. All in all decent for the cheap price.

Amazing, clean, comfortable, good attention, good breakfast and for an excellent rate, I highly recommend it, additional the location is unmatched, the Metro to 200 meters away and from there to where you want from the city 10 minutes.
I loved myself and my wife, I recommend it widely.

Friendly staff — helped us to get hot water. Clean room except for the two beer labels stuck in places that guests would notice but apparently cleaning staff did not. The hallway and elevator smelled. On the plus side there are a lot of pugs to charge your electronics. A fridge and coffee bar are good but not too much counter space. The bath tub is extra small but decent for a shower.

Excellent we got ln Calgary as last minute from Lloyd. And this Guys treat us as their own family and can't beat the price and the rooms and beds are very clean! Gracias My friends.

1. Quantity and quality of TV channels is terrible… half are all news or not in english… VERY poor selection … twice in 1 week cable went off line. 2. Vacuuming of carpets was terrible. 3. Renovations were being done on rooms and contractor was horrible in cleaning up of common hallway… no notice of renovation work or having to change rooms to accommodate renovation of the room I had. 4. Had a room with kitchen but cooking equipment supply including utensils, pots & pans, dish rack, dishes, etc was very piss poor at best. 5. Renovation workmanship in the past was beyond pathetic … the worst handyman on the planet could do a better job! The renovator couldn't cut a single ceiling tile straight leaving many gaps… kitchen cupboards look as if they came out of a dumpster and got painted. Extremely piss poor installation of the entrance door (looks like it was done by a 10 year old)! 6. Drastically needs updating on interior… quite dated… nothing of quality updating of interior has been done in many years. 7. Hit and miss as to whether or not housekeeping refilled items such as toilet paper, kleenex, coffee etc… sometimes they did and sometimes they didn't . 8 Some areas of rooms hadn't been cleaned in years! After staying for 2 weeks out of a possible 4 month stay for work, not extremely impressed but yet not entirely disappointed. A mediocor facility at best. I'm sure there are better and worse out there but just ok for the price.

After spending a night in this hotel and paying the room with a debit card at the checkout date, 2 days later, (since they ask to take the print of the credit card for the damage deposit), you discover that you have, on top of the debit card amount paid, 2 times the fee of the room taken out of your credit card. That means 3 times the room paid + damage deposit. It's a bit much not to be worried, at least for me… Not for them apparently… Do you think that you can just call and get the chance to explain your situation to someone without being cut 3 times off so that you never have the chance to explain the whole situation? Do you think that the manager, driving to the place will receive you with respect and an apology? (I only by the phone could get to the damage deposit and 1 fee taking out of my credit card, the employee won't let me explain that the next day, the fee was again taken from my account. When I asked her not to cut me off again after 3 times, she raised her voice, so I raised mine saying that I wanted to talk to her manager…) Keep dreaming of 'normal services'… I got out of the place with the angry manager (manager? really? ) saying to me that she can't do anything. Just go home and wait to see what your banking account will show you in a few days or so…? She only could provide me after I insisted deeply a document of 1 fee refunded… I've got to wait and see for the other one… provided that the damage deposit was not debited truly neither. Wow…!

Do not waste your time and money over there. Rude staff and rude manager. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I booked a room for 2 nights and after checked in (Oct-31-2017), I realized that the room does not satisfy me, I talked to the host to change the room. The night person whose name was Joseph, was so rude and impolite. I never seen such an impolite person in my life. I asked him to give me the manager's phone number and he gave me the hotel visit card and he did not even provide me a phone to talk to manager. I did not have a phone and he told me you should go outside and find a phone outside. He just keep saying " GO AHEAD ". I managed to find a phone outside and called the line and I was surprised that Joseph was the only person who answered the phone that night. He was playing with me. I had to stay that night and wait for the next day to talk to manager. The reason that I chose this place because I stayed 11 nights in 2012 in this hotel and at that time I received a good customer service, When I explained this to Joseph he told me that ""you are LYING because there is no record of you "". I showed him the receipt that I had since 2012 and he even did not apologize. The next day I talked to "" Keri Perreault"" who was the guest service manager and she was so aggressive and rude and her behaviour was the same as Joseph that I decided to check out. Nobody knows the job over there. Do not waste your time and money over there.

3.5 stars rounded up. Clean, semi quiet. Super basic but thats okay if you want a no frills place.

Rooms were clean, no TV remote, breakfast wasn't great. Affordable, good enough for a weekend.

Hotel room had the smell of chlorine from the 4th floor in the rooms. The rooms aren't fully functional, my friends rooms TV was having problems and the usb port was broken in my room.

We got a suite which was fully equipped. The heaters were full blown so that we had to turn the AC on. Breakfast is on low side. And make sure you get there before 10 cause they will collect everything before u know it.

Finally… an Econo Lodge that is good! 3.5 stars out of 5 as my room is clean and a half decent TV and a nice fan/air conditioner. Pool and hot tub clean and the check in guy was quite nice too. Nicely done. Sounds quiet too so far. A major must and plus if so for two nights here. (:

We had phoned in advance, because we knew it would be very busy, to ask about guest parking and was reassured over the phone that it would not be a problem to park there with someone who was staying as long as the we registered the second vehicle and did not stay overnight. Once we got there, we were told very rudely that we could not park a guest there, even though they had signs on the door saying we could, and we should go to another hotel. Luckily one young gentleman went above and beyond to find us parking. Unfortunately the rudeness of other staff, and telling us to go to another hotel, has made me want to do just that.

For this price, it's a good hotel. It does some quirks though. The breakfast is minimal and our room has a wet carpet, but I didn't mind that. The good thing is the staffs are very friendly and has good Wi-Fi. TL;DR A good hotel for the price.

We stayed in the tower in a king bed room for one night. The room was clean, large, and excellent value. The room was quiet despite there being a group. The staff were nice to deal with and the continental breakfast was standard and decent. We would stay here again.

We checked in last night and went to bed right after getting back from a long day at the comic con. When we got our room there was a blood stain on the sheets and blood on the thermostat when my husband went to turn up the heat and a dirty towel behind the toilet and the curtains didn't even close and you guys had sheer white see through sheets as blinds so I couldn't even get dressed in the comfort of the room I had to do it in the tiny little bathroom. When I went downstairs to check out and ask for a refund they said their manager had to deal with a refund but she wouldn't be there until Monday. I asked her if she could call her manager for me and she did but said her manager said their is nothing that she can do because they don't have the code to the computer for a refund even after I proceeded to tell her that I am from Edmonton and I would be leaving on Sunday. She told me nothing different so I got angry and said so I get nothing when I stayed in a blood stained disgusting room after the attendant said that it was clean and ready for us to use and the girl at the front desk told me that if we don't leave she would call the cops I told her to go ahead and I would wait right here for them and that she doesn't scare me with her cop threats. She ignored me and went on to helping another customer.

So I just left this hotel after finding my sheets had blood stains and blood on the thermostats. I've been refused a refund and told to leave or the cops will be called. Ill file my own report. And I'll be calling health services.

The Guest Services Manager is a condescending person who feels the need to "educate" people when they don't agree with her. If you voice your concerns she will harrass you by email and phone if she doesn't like your reply to her email. It was my experience that she insisted on arguing her point, the more I stood my ground, the more she tried to blame me for what happened. Her customer service skills are truly lacking!
I am not happy about my stay and no amount of "education" (totally offensive) will change that. We stayed there almost a week ago and she is STILL arguing her point today.
I understand wanting good reviews, but come on. … enough is enough!

Switched rooms due to being put into smoking room. Arrived into new room smelling of smoke. Adequate size. Good Wi-Fi. Area was quiet location. Decent for the price.

Honest review: if you're cheap and easy to please, you'll like it here. Clean room, dated interior, friendly staff, pool and hot tub, Wi-Fi that works. Only thing I noticed was that you could hear people moving through the hallways — we ran the fan all night and it was perfectly fine. Continental breakfast could do with more fruit options (just apples and oranges). We will come back for sure.
