We stayed here on for our final night in Canada as we wanted a bit of inexpensive luxury. What a lovely suite we stayed in, from checking in with the helpful Sion? to getting to our suite, the hotel is clean and well presented, the suite was well stocked in the kitchen including a kettle & bathroom had lovely products, the bed was very comfortable and the TV easy to use. Thank you for living up to our expectations.

The location was convenient, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was decent and included in the price. Free parking through their hotel website booking.

Older hotel, but nicely kept up. The location downtown is great for seeing the attractions downtown by walking, which is especially nice as parking is very limited. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding area and offered good tips of where to go and how to get there. If you are looking for a downtown hotel with free parking this is a good choice.

Good location. Walking distance to Stephen Ave. Staff is efficient and friendly. Room was a bit dated but the beds were very comfy. Kitchenette is great. Didn’t get a chance to check out the breakfast as we had to leave early. But grabbed a coffee before we hit the road. One suggestion. Have to-go lids for the coffee. Other than that overall good stay for the night.

Great service and decent room. Bed was comfy and the room was clean on arrival. No the fanciest hotel but it is a reasonable price and provides free breakfast and parking which is hard to find downtown and at other hotels. The breakfast wasn't excellent but was your average hotel complimentary meal. No pool but there is a sauna and gym (which I didn't check out). Would have liked room service/restaurant in the hotel but this wasn't available although lots of places to eat downtown anyways. If you are looking for something fancy I wouldn't stay here but if you are an average person looking for somewhere comfortable and clean with a free meal and parking go for it!

I've stayed at many best westerns and this wasn't the greatest. The room was very clean and comfortable. The best part was the staff who let us check in at 11am instead of 3pm because we came into town earlier than expected. The view was great and we could see the stampede fireworks from the hotel and walking distant to the parade. There was underground parking too which was great. The bad part? The room and Hotel wasn't as nice as I'd want for staying at a best western. I'd totally stay here again for consecutive nights. The breakfast was subpar. Don't eat the eggs.

We were extremely impressed when a front desk employee offered to move his personal vehicle so that we could park when the hotel lot was full. This happened two nights in a row. Thanks so much!

Great location and big rooms with kitchen for a really good deal. Location near all the popular area for drinking and eating. The rooms were big with kitchen. A little outdated though, could use a renovation. Breakfast was whack. They had premade eggs wrapped in cheese to make a breakfast burrito or something… it was gross. They just need to have regular scramble eggs. Other breakfast items were ok. Friendly staff and clean room with free parking.

Great location and nice hot breakfast. We stayed there for two days and they had a different selection of hot breakfast for each day. The hotel also has enough parking and the room is nice too. The only issue I had was the room didn't have thick curtains by which you can cover the windows.

The facility was good, and the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back.

Staff were excellent! Beds, pillows & room very comfortable & spacious! Breakfast was tasty & well organized. However, they could modernize the lobby & hallway decor & lighting to make it brighter & more upscale. I found the dark mustard yellow hallway with dim lighting was especially depressing.

Good hotel. Clean and comfortable room. We ended up with huge room, and the price was a steal. I guess the building was originally set to be apartments. Would be great for a family wanting more space at a good price. The halls were a bit dated but it looked like they were updating while we were there. All the staff were very nice, and helpful. Check-in & check-out was easy, they called a taxi for us which was there within minutes which was great. Definitely would stay there again.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and spacious. Heat is easily controlled in-room. Free underground parking is a bonus! Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfasts are good, especially the waffles! The nearby grocery store makes it easy to take advantage of the kitchenette.

I stayed in Best western hotel in Calgary for around 10 days… I enjoyed my stay. Hotel staff is very supportive. Rooms are very good. Size, arrangement etc. Great fitness center, guest laundry and other services. Overall it's very good hotel…

Room was excellent. I stayed on the 11th floor facing the parking lot, which is likely the quiet side of the building. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not great, but it is included so I really can't complain. The location is within walking distance of a full-size Safeway and a number of coffee shops and restaurants. No complaints.

Friendly staff, great location with good parking. The only thing I thought was weird was having the parking entrance on a one way street and not warning people in advance of how to access it. Great rooms, really good service.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very spacious with a jacuzzi tub. I enjoyed being right in the middle of downtown but still able to walk to a Safeway. The staff were very accomodating. The fitness centre was perfect for my needs. The hotel breakfast was more than expected with a full array of hot items (eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffle maker, oatmeal) and cold (fruit, yogurt, bakery items).

The rooms are nice and clean, breakfast is excellent, and service was friendly. A very good deal, especially with the discount from an AMA membership. Heated underground parking is a huge bonus!

I stayed at this location for week. I was thoroughly disappointed. I don't plan to stay here ever again. The breakfast was decent. The TV in the room did not have on demand. There is no bar downstairs. The experience was very basic compared to the other best westerns I've stayed at. Port O Call is much nicer and has everything I expect.

Wi-Fi is great now. Breakfast 6am to 10:30am. Free parking. Booked and paid for by my work.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was an added bonus. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of choice. We had a lovely view of the city, and the cafe across the street is one of our favourites!

Don't look further I absolutely loved this hotel. If you are a tourist, the location cannot be better. The city centre has a taste that makes it easy to walk anywhere. My room was gorgeous and very comfortable. The breakfast was great and varied, although I personally still do not understand how people can eat what I will take full lunch for breakfast. Pastry and biscuits were tasty. The staff were charming, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Stayed for 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend. This hotel is close to many major routes around the city. Very reasonable price for the area and is close to a number of good restaurants. There is no charge for parking, above or underground. Room was clean and tidy. My only complaint is minor and that is the shower was weak. I highly recommend this hotel and am likely to book it again.

A surprise, for the price. Nice, clean and almost too roomy, 2 bedroom suite. It was far more than we were expecting and greatly appreciated. In a great area, too. We’ll be back!

The suites that are available here are absolutely excellent and ideal for a multiple day stay or more than that. They come with a small kitchen, which affords you a lot of freedom to cook small, light meals in your suite, and the views from the building are excellent. It is ideally situated in the downtown of Calgary. I had some problems with the Wi-Fi, but the staff and technical support were both very professional in addressing it. The breakfasts aren't the best, though. On the whole, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Calgary.

2 The room must be inserted into the sensor card in and out, the indoor environment is comfortable, clean, the door noise is slightly weaker, in the room can hear other room switch door or guests in the corridor voice.

We were very pleased with this particular BW hotel. Our rooms were very comfortable and quite large. The value was excellent for what we received. The breakfast selection was excellent — quite a variety of hot and cold foods. The breakfast staff was not only efficient, keeping items replenished at all times, but was also extremely friendly. The front desk staff was also efficient and helpful. I would definitely return!

The room is spacious, the location is good with easy public transit options to the real downtown. The one thing that's not the best was that it was highly likely the beddings (sheets, covers etc) were not changed since the previous guests. But the room service was attentive and changed them upon request.

The suits were very well maintained, and the staff was amazing. Felt like home away from home! Breakfast was always outstanding. Rooms were always cleaned perfectly. Overall experience was amazing!

Central location to most things in Calgary and surprisingly easy enough to get to (being a downtown location). Staff were fantastic and the breakfast options were great considering we have some food sensitivities in our family. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed during the Stampede, large spacious room and staff really helpful at such a busy time. Only 25min walk to the ground. Although extremely busy on our first day breakfast, next morning more facilities were laid on to accommodate everyone.

This is a great hotel on the nice location in downtown Calgary. Cleanliness and quality in the quest room are great. We will come back to this place.

I had no place for the night and not enough money for a room else where and the man at the front let me stay for a while in the lobby free Wi-Fi warmth. It was extremely kind. And I'm thankful.

I stayed at this hotel to attend an event at the Stampede and it's about a 20-25 min walk which isn't bad. It's conveniently located and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. I like the free parking and breakfast. There are parking spaces outside the hotel and also garage parking in the basement. The room is a bit dated but comfortable and clean, and even has a small kitchen. I would stay here again if I need to be close to downtown.

I was thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with my stay at this hotel. I was there on Friday to Saturday for my friends birthday. On Friday night my boyfriend had been jumped at a bar for no reason, because of it we immediately went back to our hotel to get some ice on his eye to keep it from bruising too much. When we came into the hotel one of the security guards was standing at the door, and seen my boyfriend had a slightly swollen eye, a bloody mouth, and his shirt was ripped. I came down from my room asking the security guard (since there was no one at the front desk) if there was bags, and ice available. The Security guard (without answering my question) began to accuse my boyfriend of fighting in the hotel room, and told us we would be kicked out if there was any noise complaints or if he continued to fight. When I explained that my boyfriend had been jumped at a bar and he needed ice for his eye the security guard basically accused me of lying saying that he saw my boyfriend come in, and what not. I went back up to my hotel to find something to compensate for the bag I could not find. When I told my friend (who was in the other hotel room) about what the security guard had said to me, we then looked out of the room and the security guard was standing outside of our rooms monitoring them. We stepped out of the room asking him why he was monitoring our rooms just for him to tell us that he was doing his rounds.

Staff was wonderful, breakfast was good, rooms a little dated. The bedsheets had human hair on them when I drew the covers back. More than a few and not all from the head…
Staff was wonderful at replacing immediately and acknowledging my unease at checkout. I may try again once the hotel has renovated.

This appears to be an old apartment building, every room is a suite of varying configurations. There is no restaurant on site, but they have a typical low quality hot buffet breakfast served each morning. Rooms are clean, but not exceptional. Parking is simple and free. Wi-Fi is decent.

The staff are incredibly helpful and polite. The amenities are fantastic. The free breakfast is the best I've had at a hotel. The rooms all have kitchens which is handy. All in all a great place to stay. This is my hotel of choice when in Calgary.

Great rooms I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was and the nice kitchenette. I loved how close to the downtown core it is and a huge restaurant district on 17 Ave. Great and informative staff.

Great place to stay, rooms are very big and come with dishes and pots, if you like a good view of Calgary pick higher floor on east side. The staff are TOP shelf, always with a smile even when I was not up to one, Very helpful in all areas from finding a location to getting you off too a gr eat day Complimentary breakfast, Free Wi-Fi, did I mention the free Parking, this is unheard of now days. All in all was a good place for a first stay in Calgary, I will be booking here again. Thanks for the Great stay BEST WESTERN PLUS Suites Downtown.

This review has been edited: My initial review gave a 1/5 star rating based on poor Wi-Fi connection. I was very happy with management personally helping me solve the connection issue by contacting their internet service provider to rectify the issue.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We did experience the fire alarm going off and found the staff completely unhelpful. Did not explain the situation or danger. We were concerned for our safety and not one employee addressed the situation. Elevator wasn't working because employees "couldn't fine the key". Fire chief talked to owner/manager on the phone and explained the hotel was not up to code for emergencies and fines would be inevitable. We are not impressed.

I just have the best stay in Best Western Plus Hotel, the bed are very comfortable, I slept very well. The hotel is very nice, front office desk staff is very polite and helpful. Location is beautiful very close to Saddledome, and many, many restaurants. There is also free parking by the side of the hotel. I would definitely recommend the Hotel to my friends and family for a long or short stay!
