Awesome Resort with Great Customer service. Keep in mind that it will take you about four hours of travel from the airport to reach. I wished they had some sort of transportation from Belize Express Boat upon arrival. Beside the travel everything was awesome!

Great place to relax and reset. Friendly staff, location that's away from it all but nothing a :30 rode to town. Beautiful beach and pretty landscaping. The restaurant serves good food and the tiki bar has cold drinks.

We stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful time! It’s quiet and relaxing. The crew works morning, noon and night to keep everything clean. The Gem offers good food. The tiki bar is great fun. There’s 3 pools and private beach. They offer free paddle boards, kayaks and bikes. This is about an hour from town so do rent a golf cart. Make your way north too. The only hiccup was the intermittent housekeeping. We had to go to the office several times to request service. Geo was great and super helpful. They will help you with getting to the resort and departing. You can do as much or as little as you like. No worries tours is onsite and are awesome! We will definitely be back.

Family friendly resort with super awesome staff and decent prices. On the north end of Ambergris Caye, so it's very quiet and secluded, but you can easily take a water taxi into town or rent a golf cart to get around. Food and drinks were phenomenal at the restaurant and tiki bar. Most units have owners so everyone seems to know everyone else, so it feels like extended family. We did not bring our kids and still had a very quiet, relaxing get away. At times, we felt like the only ones around which was nice. The resort has a lot included but also offers many excursions as well. Don't miss happy hour and the BBQ every Saturday night with amazing house made sauce. Highly recommend Sapphire Beach!

The most disappointing part of our travels in Belize. The resort provides no free pick up and drop off. This is the furthest north you can be on the island. The only way to get there in by taxi which if you’re lucky will be $50 USD one way, most taxis will quote $80USD one way for this instead. We had to rent a golf car to make our way up to the resort. What they don’t tell you is that the roads are not paved. So it actually takes an HOUR to get here from downtown or anything else. There are absolutely no restaurants or shops or anything else nearby. You would think they would atleast have room service, or a restaurant that stays open late or snacks etc for you to buy. The restaurant closes at 8pm and they has a few packets of chips by the reception, that’s it. The beaches were covered with sea grass so you could not swim in the water. There were maybe 6 people on the entire resort and it was actually a little scary. Because of how incredibly far this was from the ferry station and because they did not tell us it takes an hour to get here, we had to check out a day earlier to make it to our flight. We had initially booked an paid for two days but left after day 1. The hotel refused to refund our money despite the early check out and did not help us out in any way possible. I don’t think the staff or owners care about their customers or their satisfaction.

Accommodating staff, nice atmosphere, good food, solid amenities. All for a great price.

This is a very nice, but totally isolated resort. What they didn't happen to mention was there are no tv's, no cable or phones. Thank goodness for Wi-Fi. Additionally, the bugs are horrendous. I left with no less than 60 bites, all over me. The one restaurant on site is quite limited, and getting to the main town is a roller coaster ride in a golf cart. Maybe in a few years, once everything is up to speed I would try it again, but for now I wouldn't recommend it. It's like going to Gilligans Island.

Very remote resort without much to do. Nothing around except El Secreto and Chill & Chat place. The waters are extremely shallow, since the reef comes too close to the beach. You can't swim even from the dock. They offer snorkeling and short-board paddling. They are doing their best to clean the sea grass. The property otherwise is nice. Nice grounds. 3 swim pools. Only 1 restaurant with limited selection. Nice villas with upgraded kitchen appliances. No TV! You can rent movies. I switched resorts after 3 nights. If you love total isolation and just lying by the pool or on the beach all day long, then this is for you. ) ) )

This amazing “gem” is located 10 miles from San Pedro but is the definition of tranquility! The staff is above excellent and so friendly and welcoming! We loved all of the staff of the “No Worries” dive shop and all of their assistance with our snorkeling! The restaurant is a outstanding with fresh fish and ceviche to die for! We were here during a particularly bad period of Sargasm and the grounds crew worked relentlessly to conquer it! There are no words to describe the staff and their hospitality and genuine kindness!

This place blew my expectations out of the WATER! My boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing get away and that is exactly what we got. Little did I know, he was proposing to me! The staff was exceptional and even helped him plan the proposal for free! They had a boat come pick us up and one of the ladies took time out of her day to come on the boat with us and video the entire thing. I was so surprised and couldn't have planned a more perfect proposal… aside from that, the staff in general was incredible and accommodating. I am a clean freak so I am always worried about that aspect while traveling. Our little bungalow was spotless and completely adorable. I would stay there a million more times. The food was excellent as well. Sapphire is a little further out on the island than many other resorts but I enjoyed how secluded it felt. Travel tips in general: Getting to the resort can seem a bit daunting when you arent sure what you're doing. We flew into Belize city and caught a cab to the water ferry. The water taxi was about an hour ride and only $38. It was a relaxing and fun ride. I would suggest it over the plane! When our boat arrived in San Pedro, we rented a golf cart ($200) for the week and began our drive to the resort. The resort was about an hour from the dock. If youre up for an adventure I would 100% suggest getting a golf cart. It was well worth our money. There is only one road on the island so you dont have to worry about getting lost.

We rented a place here through Air BnB, and we were not disappointed. Amazing vacation. Can't wait to go again.

Ask questions and make sure to to get food supplies in town. It is very laid-back. The people are great and the excursions are even better.

I would never stay here even if they offered to a free stay. Horrible customer service! And the manger of the resort is a liar! Great staff and ample ameneties… Units are clean and comfortable. Grounds are well kept. Restaurant servers good food, but dosent have that 'ambiance' unless you catch them when they are serving dinner by the pool.

Excellent service, the attention is very good and the rooms are perfect to spend an amazing time on the beautiful island. I highly recommend it, it would definitely come back, it's a real paradise.

Very nice setting. Far from town — 9 miles takes 45 minutes due to roads. Lots of bugs.

If you want seclusion, beautiful waters and beach, fun golf cart transportation, wonderful service, great food and drinks, I could go on and on. Then this is the place for you. The staff is truly wonderful and they keep the grounds so neat and clean. The front desk is such a great resource for any of your needs. They truly go above and beyond for each guest. I hope to come back one day, sooner rather than later. Some helpful tips for anyone coming to the resort.
1) Bug spray is a must!
2) San Pedro is about a 45 minute drive (one way) by golf cart.
3) El Norte is a wonderful litte beach bar just 5 mins north of the resort. Chris is so awesome.
4) No Worries tours are awesome. Hill and all his staff are great. Snorkeling, diving, Mayan Ruins, etc.
5) There are 3 good sized pools. 1 tiki bar (great tropical drinks).
6) The condo we stayed in was clean and well kept and with in steps from the ocean.
7) Order your groceries before hand. This was so helpful.
8) If you choose to do the taxi to the water taxi, then water taxi to the resort. Expect it to take a total of about 3.5 hours from the moment u get off your main plane to the moment u step foot on the beach. We took this route here, but we flew back to main land (1 hour total).
9) Enjoy yourself and No Worries, you're on Island time.

Location is wonderfully secluded, making for the perfect relaxing vacation destination. I would recommend a water taxi, or regular taxi, unless you're OK with driving on some back roads that aren't paved. The best part of this resort though is their staff. Everyone is very hospitable, accommodating to food allergies (Celiac in our party), and flexible with answering any questions and requests. The Dive shop, No Worries Dive Shop, on location here is staffed with some great instructors for PADI open water certification. They're flexible with schedule and always put your comfort and safety ahead of everything else. We had an initial hiccup with one of our first dives, but they let us take a day break in our training and then start up again. Can't thank them enough for teaching us in such a calm and clear way to get over that mental hurdle. Overall, it is great resort and I look forward to returning one day.

Beautiful beach and cute cabanas. Good food in restaurant. Road to resort in a golf cart, with all the rain they've had is somewhat of an adventure.

My family and I have been to Sapphire Beach many times, we love the location, it's a bit further away from San Pedro but if your looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation with everything you need on site, this is the place for you!
The staff is amazing, each and everyone works hard and it shows, the grounds are beautiful, No Worries excursions, Gem restaurant are all great, everything you need at one place, if there's anything you need the staff is ready and willing to help with your needs.
Fishing off the dock is fun and a nice 20 minute walk can get you to some great fly fishing areas. We always rent a golf cart so we can go to town or explore more north of the island, the road is a bit rough in spots but we've seen a lot of neat wildlife along the way and views So beautiful.
We love Sapphire Beach and are already booking our next trip in November!

Awesome place to relax, staff is all friendly and helpful. Everything is on site and far enough out if town that it is quiet but a short boat trip or drive to San Pedro.

Absolutely fantastic! Very tranquil, peaceful, and serene. Remotely situated away from the town center. But that's easy enough to get to via water taxi, golf cart, or local taxi. It takes about 30-40 min. All the staff at Sapphire are available to assist you with all of your needs. From the restaurant on site, to the management, and the No Worries day trips activities. There's kayaks, paddle board's, snorkeling, bicycles all free and available daily. The reef is just a few hundred meters from shore. The water is a beautiful aqua, and so clear. It was like a home away from home. All of the units are unique layouts, very clean and comfortable. Can't wait to go back soon.

A truly serene destination! I couldn't have been happier with the location, the views, and the service provided by the resort. Also I must say that for having only one restaurant the food is incredible! So well made and with sooo much flavor.

If you are looking good for a resort that is away from the bustle of town, this is a great find. A boat taxi runs to town twice a day. However, with a restaurant, three pools, beaches, and even some kayaks, you don't need to leave the property for some great relaxation.

By far the absolute worst vacation I have ever had to be on. Because of the Garbage Beach Resort. The Sapphire? Yea check out their beach that has trash all up and down it not to mention barely a beach, can't even lay out on it, and it isn't just garbage when it comes to the image of the resort. Sure the villas look nice and all, but water will hardly work, expect bugs in your rooms, and the real bad bugs can be found in the front office. The management is God awful. They have no idea what they are doing and the place would be better off run by 5 year olds. Not to mention this resort is a 25 minute boat ride (more like a door with a motor attached) to and from the resort, and after 7 p. M. Don't expect a ride back from or to town. Aka don't plan on ever leaving. Because you can't. And since they already have you trapped the one bar, and one "restaurant" charge insanely hyper inflated prices. So either lose all of your money or starve to death. One and only good thing about this place? The bartender Smokey was a decent person. Overall STAY FAR AWAY if this place doesn't close down in the next few weeks it's only because the owner is a hedge fund baby.

If you're looking for a peaceful, secluded vacation — you'll love Sapphire Beach! The resort is still under construction, but Phase 1 offers lovely condo units, with full kitchens, surrounding 3 small pools. With some beach front units, even the furthest units away are only a couple of hundred feet from the ocean. Don't expect lively nightlife here right now. Phase 2 will have the large on-site restaurant, swim-up bar and more. However, right now, with just Phase 1, the restaurant facilities are a single unit converted, with a handful of tables. Despite the limited size, the food is truly superb! Give the handmade pizza a try! Made from scratch, this is some of the best pizza I've ever eaten! The service is also five-star. Phase 1 being so small, you get truly personalized service, and every employee has a smile on their face and is willing to go a step beyond, to make sure your stay is perfect. Although I'm eager to see what Phase 2 will bring to Sapphire Beach, I hope the larger size doesn't lose this truly world-class level of service.
