Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel right in the old town of Salzburg, great and large rooms, family friendly, very tasty breakfast, we felt very comfortable, the suite was large and great furnished. Can only recommend the hotel to everyone warmest.

We stay here whenever we visit the amazing city of Salzburg. The hotel is wonderful and the location is perfect. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great restaurant and rooms. I can not recommend Stadtkrug enough.

Hotel in the middle of the city very quaint. Staff courteous, bulna cleaning and breakfast.

We didn't stay at the hotel (but wish we would've), so this review is for restaurant only. The food and ambiance are really great. Off the beaten tourist trap. They have their own winery and farm in the countryside where they source their ingredients. They make all of their cheeses and sausages (and wine! ). The meats are organically raised. Service notches down to 4 stars. Took us 45 minutes to get our food. But wait staff very kind, despite lack of attention. Recommend!

Lovely lovely lovely! Great location next to the main sights, in the heart of Salzburg but quiet. Traditional decor and cosy rooms, breakfast on point and kind staff. Would definitely go back.

Across river from old town. Friendly staff. Good breakfast but you must ask for bacon and eggs cooked. NO AC in my room.

The hotel is in a nice location in the city, and is close to the Salzach river. The rooms are very comfortable and service is excellent.

Great location, great restaurant and friendly & helpful staff. Clean rooms, unfortunately no air conditioning and right-blue neighbors in the courtyard. Would the hotel definitely book again (unless it's a bit cooler)

In the middle of the city, paths are short, parking you can walk in 5 min for 13 euros, in a parking garage …

We stayed here a week ago and would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel was full of charm reflecting the character of its country, which is exactly what you want when travelling abroad. Friendly staff and excellent buffet breakfast. Would stay here again.

Lovely hotel but very difficult to get to. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown, and it was a hit annoying that it was impossible to separate the beds from one another. But you cannot beat the very central location of this hotel, as most of Salzburg is reachable on foot. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Great location in the pedestrian center, friendly staff, small room but basic, rustic style, cleanliness maybe could be better, but overall good.

The hotel Krug in Salzburg is a very cosy hotel with an excellent location to the old town. Due to its historical construction somewhat cramped but especially therefore with flair. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very plentiful and the breakfast room very cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our little dog was allowed to stay for free which I have not experienced in any other hotel. Only the lack of spa articles for a 4 star hotel somewhat unusual. The lack of air conditioning was already aware of us by the description in the offer. There was a fan in the room. The light background noise of the elevator (during operation) we felt in our room as not so serious. The situation of parking was due to the location of the hotel. The process with code request at the bollard with subsequent parking in the not far away car park went smoothly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staying here now. Love this place. Location is excellent but arrival can be a bit of a challenge (Lol, not their fault) CALL BEFORE arriving their instructions are Very Helpful! Our room is very comfortable. But there is no AC. We dont mind but just a FYI. European charm is almost off the chart. The building is over 600 years old. The staff is genuinely very friendly with the best guest oriented service I've experienced at a hotel. The complimentary continental breakfast is a wonderful European meal.

Perfect location close to Mozartplatz and Maribelleplatz. Hotel staff were very friendly and provided great recommendations for things to do! I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved everything about this little hotel — the friendly staff, the food, the location. You find so many pretty, family run hotels that have been taken over by big chains, gutted and completely refurbished. Such a pleasure to visit a place with soul. Don't miss the terrace on the top floor in nice weather. Highly recommended!

Love this hotel and its just middle of the old city and very close to everything. The staffs very nice and friendly, the buffet was great and the chef was very courtesy and humble for making customize need.

Stadtkrug is amazing. This is my first visit and I wouldn't book any other hotel in Salzburg if I could help it. The patio restaurant has a venison ragu 5hat is just so pefictlly intensely flavored. I wish inco I kd get the recioe. Also, the atmosphere is as authentic as the total, the staff are wonderful (Dominic helped us get into a nice restaurant on our second day here), and the complimentary breakfasts are amazing. Love the restaurant bar. Love the Stadtkrug.

Very friendly staff in a nicely furnished hotel. We requested a quiet room and got those. The water pressure of the shower should be higher — but this is wailed at a high level. Dinner and breakfast wait very tasty.
Located on a chic Street and behind it is equal to one of the local mountains.

My husband and I were traveling by motorcycle. The staff helped us with laundry and offered to move us from street side room to a quiet room over looking a garden wall. From the manager to the bartender, the rooms to the food, everything was wonderful. If you like the charm of the old country and its history this hotel is for you.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time over 20 years ago, and returned years later. We even tried to spend part of our honeymoon there, but it was closed at that time. The location is perfect. The rooms are clean, comfortable and welcoming. We have fond memories of our stays there and of the family dog, "Wofie". We hope to return soon.
