Very great food and a top wine accompaniment… Highly recommended.

Incredibly friendly staff. From the first minute you are at home here. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant, at the bar, the staff at Hotel Der Bär are great. In addition, there are beautifully decorated rooms, a great infinity pool and an exceptionally good meal.

Everything top! Service, gastro, rooms, pools, sauna, cleanliness, friendliness — there are no wishes left to be desired!

Sixth visit in 30 or so years. The place has changed over the years (modernized, beautifully) but one thing has always been the same: excellent service and food. A very special place!

My favorite place to be for any occasion. One of the best cuisine ever experienced, great location and the service just magnificent. Pure perfection.

The hotel was quite amazing in everything. Non plus ultra dinner, fantastic breakfast, great rooms and bathrooms, awesome wellness section with saunas and the infinity pool with that unparalleled view to the Alps. We will return and most certainly recommend!

Beautiful new hotel. Extremely friendly staff with a wide variety of languages. We particularly liked the new indoor pool, from which you can swim outdoors. You have a fantastic panoramic view of the Wilder Kaiser. The sauna area is also fabulous. The only suggestions for improvement would be to turn on a children's playground and the ventilation in the bathroom and toilet in the rooms a little longer. We'll be back for sure.

One of the most beautiful hotels in Elmau and in Austria. The rooms are very well furnished, the service in the hotel is great, the food tastes terrific, the wellness facility is better than in some swimming pools and it is a really great value for money. Also, the hotel is right on the slopes. You go across the street and lo and behold, you are on the slopes.
So I can recommend hotel only.

Our sincere thanks to the Windisch family and all the freindly staff at hotel Der Bar for making our stay such a special and memorable experience. Everything about your house exudes quality, attention to detail and warmth. It was our pleasure to return each day to the relaxation of the outdoor pool and spa to rejuvenate after a day on the ski slopes. I have very fond memories of my stay back in 2006 and I can say that the fundamentals of beautiful food and the warmth of a welcoming family remain at the heart of Hotel Der Bar house. This hotel exceeds your expectations. This is the whole package! The hotel, staff, location and the excellent food makes it a must! I cannot rate it higher!

Simply beautiful. This is truely a 5 star hotel. The quality of the rooms, building, facilities and services is some of the best Ive stayed in. The food is wonderful. The hotels location is heaven for any skiers. I have found the staff helpful and polite. Every meal has also been incredible. We will be staying here again soon. I highly recommend.

Full marks to the Service, equipment, Restaurant, Breakfast, Spa, Wellness, friendliness, and well-being and recovery factor. Super ski area with wide, well groomed pistes. From the Hotel, very good connection to the Hartkaiserbahn. Alternatively, a very good Shuttle bus direct from the Hotel. We will be back!

Very nice, modern renovated Hotel. The staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I am looking forward to the new Spa area, wecher is to be built this year. Only Tagvorhäbge I miss.

Cannot fault any area of this hotel. The cherry on top was the exceptional level of hospitality that they provided — I have never experienced such effort in a hotel before. They pick up little details, remember conversations you have with them, even specifically when you last visited and what you had done. Food is delightful. Ambiance is relaxing and traditional yet elegant. You almost feel at home. Sublime service all round. Very much looking forward to my next visit.
