Highly Recommended!
We stay here with our kids on a golf trip, fantastic very clean great staff, fantastic location. Very security Conscious we felt very safe there. We will definitely come back.

This was a pleasant surprise for the cheapest accomodation in town. Super clean older building with high ceilings and was directly across from the town beach and surrounded by cafes. Pippa on the front desk was very helpful also. Recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as it has all the creaks and sounds that come with a big beautiful building.

The rooms are very clean. The place is an awesome cozy old brick building that really felt comfortable. Added bonus is the secure parking.

This is an amazing old building that has been beautifully renovated whilst retaining the simple character. The host was friendly, the beds are comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. There is a large well equipped kitchen. And the bonus is it’s right in the waterfront.

Good location. 5min walk to Esplanade, where you can spot seals&lobsters hiding between the rocks.

Nestled in a strategic location, easily accessible to supermarkets, a shopping mall, museums, bars, bistros, a playground, information centre and the seaside. A great stay for young and old alike. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place to stay in Geraldton!

We stayed at Geraldton Backpackers for 2 nights on two separate occasions during our travels up and down the West Coast. Booking was simple and we felt very safe in the hostel, the rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen, dining and recreational facilities were fantastic also. Pippa was a fantastic host for us, she had excellent local knowledge giving us various things to do and places to eat, even on our way out of town! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Geraldton! The second time around it really did feel like we were coming home-thanks Pippa!

Cozy and homely hostel in a beautiful historic building. Immaculate clean and the ladies at the reception desk have been so lovely and welcoming. Definitely recommend! Basic breakfast included, secured parking and two lounge rooms with Netflix to hang out. The location is perfect, kitchen well equipped and there are so many nice seating areas inside and outside. You can see that the owners put a lot of love into this place with so much attention to detail.

Perfect location, clean, spacious, the staff is very nice and helpful.
Everything is close by walk and this town and hotel deserve to be more recognized.
A share meal was organized to make a very convivial moment.
If you don't know where to stop in Geraldton, no hesitation to have… go there!

Pippa was lovely, very hospitable. Room was really nice and toilets were clean and nice. Nice fancy kitchen.

Friendly owner, basic facilities with good beds and good shower and toilet facilities. Relatively quiet in the winter season. Private parking for cars available. Nice location in the centre of town.

I was there with an Italian and a French friend at the beginning of June 2018. We didn't book in advance and we called them at 22:00 hrs or so and we were warmly welcomed. Nice hostel with everything you need for a perfect stay: hot showers, quiet atmosphere and nice rooms, two living rooms with TV and also a patio where you can get your breakfast during the sunny days. Everything is so clean and tidy. The next day we met the owner, the sweetest person ever. FYI, I will open my own hostel in Mont-Tremblant, Canada on the 01st of November 2018, if you're coming by, just let me know :) so I can give you a couple of days for free. Thanks again for your help.

What a fantastic place you have created Pippa. A home away from home with everything that you could possibly need in a clean and beautifully presented backpackers. So much more than 5 stars and the loction is perfect — central and overlooking the ocean. The ideal place for us to stop after 4 weeks on the road to clean up and set off for the homeward straight. Best wishes for more happy times here and if we are over this way again, we'll definitely know where to stay.

Quiet beautiful beach side back packers with views. Extremely good value. Clean linen, puffy pillow and new duvets. Staff are A1 and extremely polite, helpful and willing to have a good chat about local life in Geraldton. Everywhere is clean neat and tidy and the kitchen is so modern. I am recommended then to all my friends and family in the future.

I wish I were able to rate above 5 stars as our stay at Geraldton Backpackers on the Foreshore was above and beyond. The facilities are large with great attention to detail both in usability, and aesthetics. The kitchen is well equipped leaving nothing for want (and quite clean to boot), and a light breakfast was even provided complimentary in the morning. The showers were hot, the beds were warm and cozy on a cold, rainy winters night. The only complaint really, was that the hearth in my bedroom no longer holds a flame… Beyond the facilities, the location was superb, located on the back of an artsy street with loads of international dining options. The other side of the property is the foreshore just as the name suggests, with the sounds of the ocean heard on my short walk along the foyer, to the restroom. I could go on, but really this is probably the best hostel I have stayed in to-date!

This is the best hostel I have ever seen in all my travels. We felt like being home in this beautiful house which is neat, comfortable and at a beautiful spot right next to the beach. The owner Pippa is very welcoming and charming. My son loved her toast for breakfast! I wish we could have stayed there more. Thanks, Pippa!

Fantastic Hostel with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere! I liked it so much I stayed for four weeks. Well located historic building with tidy rooms, very clean bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, beautiful garden. Warm-hearted host and a good mix of guests, so everybody will feel comfortable. Staffs are so friendly and patient. We arrived around 20:30 but still get a warm welcome. All the details about the building were explained well. I had a good sleep and cooked myself a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a beautiful garden with more than 30 kinds of plants. I love the passion fruit wall best. One minute walk to the beach from the back door and one minute walk to the restaurants from the front door Everything here is well organized. Totally comfortable and cozy. If you haven't been to Geraldton before, it is your best choice to stay.

Pippa, the owner, is such a beautiful lady. She is very caring, attentive and polite. You will feel right at home here. The rooms are clean, the bedding is fresh and the bathrooms are immaculate! It is such a gorgeous place and it’s history gives it character. Would definitely stay again! Thank you Pippa for such a good experience.

By far one of the friendliest, most welcoming hostels I've ever stayed in. The owner couldn't of been more hospitable, teamed with great facilities and comfy rooms couldn't recommend this place enough. The one minute walk to the beach is also a bonus! If you come to Geraldton, stay here!

Had an incredible stay here! Having been on the road for a month and a half with 4 friends camping every night, we arrived in Geraldton and booked in. We couldn't of asked for more. Immaculate, with 'hotel comfy' beds, an all action kitchen and the friendliest, not to mention helpful owner imaginable. A must stay if your passing! I'd highly highly recommend this place to any kind of traveller. Young, old, lively or subdued this is the place and pace for you! Thank you! The 'Dorset boys'.

This is one of the nicest hostels I have stayed at in Australia. The location is perfect. You are (quite literally) just a few steps from the beach and the city center. The facilities are incredibly clean and well looked after. The outdoor courtyard, and the communal areas are very inviting and cozy. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and quite lovely to talk to. You can tell that a lot of care is taken to provide a good experience for each guest. On top of all that, it is one of the most reasonably priced accommodation In Geraldton I will definitely be staying here anytime I am in the area, and I will recommend it to anyone else as well.
