My husband and I went here for our first time last night and we are STOKED to have found this little gem right here in Kalgoorlie! I’ve heard about how amazing this restaurant was through my cousin, Taniora. Wow she was right!
Fantastic service from Drew from the moment we arrived which was 15 mins earlier than our booking and he welcomed us in happily despite. As we walked through the look of the restaurant, the decor and it’s ambience was so enjoyable to take in. Each little detail was sophisticated, Victorian but also trendy.
The place mat which is like a stainless steel cover is dual purposed as the menu. Drew gave us a minute and then came to take our drink order. I got the Mojito — so enjoyable, not overpowering with alcohol, muddled really nicely so the drink had the mint taste all through it, and Pete got the Old Fashioned (bourbon, soda water, Angostura Bitters) oooo weeeee this was full on bourbon-y for me but Pedro LOVED it that he was instantly put into this happy humm from then on haha.
We also loved how attentive the other staff were, if it seemed that Drew hadn’t checked in on us then one of the other servers would stop by and make sure we were alright, so we had a girl ask soon after if we wanted to order any drinks and by that stage we were keen to start ordering food so she returned with the food ordering tablet (I’m guessing that’s what they were, they are very mod using technology to place orders — pretty impressive! ).

Absolutely superb experience dining at Cecelia’s in Hay with a friend who is visiting Kalgoorlie. Could not fault anything. The food was exquisite, service second to none and very good value. I will be back! Also has a fantastic function space which has my head exploding with ideas.

WOW! The food here is high quality, fresh and made to order, not just re-heated trash from woolies like 90% of the ‘restaurants’ in this town. It was very obvious that the owners not only have a true understanding of quality ingredients but they also go to the trouble to source them. The restaurant boasts a huge number of vegan, vegetarian and GF options that weren’t just salads which was so refreshing to see. The restaurant itself is spotless, the service and staff are friendly and infallible and as if all of that wasn’t enough, the cocktails are wonderful, it was great to see some old favourites on the menu as well as the house concoction ‘Peter Pan’ which is to die for. Would highly recommend, 11 out of 10. Well done!

Fantastic vibe and delicious food! I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience that Cecilia’s on Hay provided. The owner is incredibly friendly and the setting is delightful. We trialled 6 menu items and his homemade red sangria. Very impressed with everything and will be recommending to all that visit or stay in Kalgoorlie and surrounds. I will be returning for sure! 10/10.

We had a really great night here. Tapas can be had as an appetiser or a main course. We had several of the appetisers which are quite large and all were very good and finished off with desert. A few drinks and all for $100. Very attentive host and good atmosphere, what more could you ask!

Brilliant restaurant run by two brilliant people! So accommodating and welcoming! Can't fault my visit in any way! You won't be disappointed.

Went tonight for the Sunday roast with the missus and kids. Food and service was great but the best bit is the lounge room setup with toys and movie for the kids so we could actually sit in peace and enjoy a meal with the kids entertained after they’d eaten. Great value too.

Sangria tasted like fruity media, wine bar but most were only by the bottle. Mojito tasted like sweet syrup and barely any mint taste. Average.

Never had tapas (small food portions) dining before but it was absolutely beautiful food, service was second to none. We will be back. Thank you very much… fine dining in Kalgoorlie.

Best Classy Restaurant in Kalgoorlie!

Had a great night at the restaurant, the tapas was fantastic and the cocktails were great. Highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff were wonderful too.

Great hosts, clean comfortable and well presented. Lots of facilities that I woukd have liked to try but my weekend was too busy. Definately recommend this stay. Btw where else can u stay in what was a working brothel 4.5 stars from me.

Fantastic people and venue and rooms are beautiful. The tappas are outstanding. There is a court yard thou can sit and drink as well or have coffee and watch tv. Nothing is too much.

My colleague and I stayed for two nights at Cecelia's and found the staff amazingly helpful and friendly. I would recommend staying here to everyone. Comfortable, clean, great shower!

Awesome place! In Kalgoorlie it's great to go somewhere nice without high vis uniforms and loud groups! This place is awesome! Amazing consistently good food, desserts and a great staff that can match your taste to your wine! The bar, spirits and atmosphere is top notch! Definitely a place to visit time and time again!

We stayed a few weeks here in 'Leigh's apartment'. The place was super clean, had everything you could ask for including a washer/dryer, fully functional kitchen, comfortable bed. Drew and Gail are awesome folks, super accommodating and fun to hang out and have a chat and beer with. We would highly recommend people stay here! Enjoyed a night out at the tapas restaurant too. :)

My wife and our friends had the pleasure of dining here last night, even if I use every superlative that I know it would still not give this establishment enough credit. The meal was everything that I have always wanted in a Restaurant with such a range and selection to please even the most discerning palate. If you have only a small appetite this place is perfect, conversely if you have a huge appetite you will not come away hungry, in short it caters for everyone, something that À la carte restaurants fail to deliver. The wait staff cannot be praised enough on their diligence, of course having the owner being part of that staffing it is what you would expect. But the staff were continually coming past and asking if we needed anything they made a great evening and awesome one. We now have a new favourite, one that we will be frequenting often in the future.
