We decided to treat ourselves after a tough 2021 with a night in Melbourne at the Savoy. We do not regret this decision at all! Everything was perfect. Thank you team for a wonderful and memorable stay. We will be back!

Absolutely shocking service being in self isolation and asked the hotel for a refund due to clearly needing to be staying home. And staff refused to refund for this weekend. Won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Today my daughter and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon tea that was well priced and delicious. The staff were lovely and their tea menu is very interesting with traditional teas and speciality blends. The cakes and scones were delicious and the perfect amount for an afternoon tea.

My husband chose this hotel because it was across from the airport bus service and close to all. Our hotel room was very spacious, extremely quiet and tastefully decorated. The hotel staff were welcoming and professional. We can't wait to stay here again.

This was our second time at the Savoy, On arrival walking into the foyer the smell was so clean and fresh (lemongrass I think) every day was the same. Great location for all transport. The room was clean and fresh at all times the staff was always happy and willing to help, even when it came down to the smallest thing like needing a safety pin. Our 4 day stay was a very pleasant and we will be back next time in Melbourne… Thank you Vibe Savoy.

Rooms had rats! Complained to the reception and was told by someone by the name of glen that “that’s apart of life” disgusting. Has ruined my melbourne experience.

Interior designs are modern with a hint of victorian era vintage in it. However, unless you are a party animal and/or a drinker, it is note worthy that hotel is just round the corner of Kings Street (a major drinking area. You may experience running into hobos, drunks, hookers, and issues arising from the intoxicated (alcohol). ) Food around the area seems a little limited given that it's more of a watering hole than a foodie area. Foodie should stay around Flinders street area instead where there's ample to offer for you food lovers. Service wise, hotel has been quite inconsistent with refilling enmities. (Over the 6 nights I stayed, almost every single night requires me to contact the front desk for them). Though have to give the helpful staff a thumbs up as they've been very helpful and we're able to cater to all my requests without fail. Would I recommend it? For business trips travellers, I would. For leisure travellers, I wouldn't.

Lovely Hotel, at least 5 stars maybe 6. Art Deco work is carried into the lovely bedroom with up to date bathroom. Excellent breakfast at $19 per with 5 star restaurant for dinner. The hotel is surrounded with all transport opportunities, free trams and all rail networks within 2/3 min walking. Our hotel in Melbourne now that we've found it.

Rooms are recently renovated, they are large and well appointed. Location is great for public transport, bathrooms are beautiful. Staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

I was visiting a guest at the hotel and did not stay the night, however the rooms and common areas looked very fancy and comfortable.

Decent place to stay and sleep. Internet sucked for me but everything else was nice. Edit: after being here another night I feel super stopped up. Check my air filter in my room and it was almost an inch thick with dust. Today I was woken up by the sound of drilling going on through the walls. Called down and was told I have to hear this until 5pm today. This is my day off from work and I can't even relaxe in my room because it's so loud. I'm on the 8th floor and the construction is on the 5th floor. I was never warned of construction being a possibility. If it was up to me I probably would try another hotel next stay here in Melbourne.

Tidy room with 3 single beds. Cool AC. Bathtub slippery. Ask for a nonslip mat.

Check in was friendly and efficient. Hotel is well located not far from the train station and airport buses. Room was updated, modern and quiet with clean linen and a comfortable bed. TV has some additional Foxtel channels (Sports, sky news, Fox 8). Small gym was fairly limited in terms of equipment and no windows, however functional. Free Wi-Fi limited to 1Mbps on two devices but faster if you pay more. Breakfast $29 or $19 if you book it the night before.

Very nice hotel that isn't too expensive. Room was very well presented and the decor was amazing. Had a good view of the stadium.

Attended one of company's event here. The rooms were quite small compared to other places where 50 people can be accommodated. The buffet lunch was good!

Recently stayed for 7 nights. Great location lovely old hotel with history. Check in quick and efficient. Room cosy and clean. Staff (similar to other tourism venues) lack enthusiasm with their job. Food is terrible only ate 1 dinner in house due to not being able to finish — don't know how you can destroy a chick parmy and salmon rissoto with no salmon appauling. Check out appauling the first receptionist (male) was rude as I disputed my bill so he wasn't interested and handed me over to another person… felt insulted and was in a rush to get a plane… Will we stay again… No as not an inviting place due to staff arrogance. I have given you 5 days to review my bill and email my reciepts as probably not disputing the amount but the items allicated on my bill. (A case out of site out of mind). A shame cose building itself is lovely. Management need to train their staff buck stops with you!

This hotel is in the middle of a refurb. If you can get one of the finished rooms, they're lovely. They've attempted to put USB charging points directly into the walls, but they weren't working in my room unfortunately. The bathroom was lovely, and the be was really comfortable. Very close to the bus station, and a short walk or tram ride into the middle of the city. I was very unimpressed by the breakfast buffet. I'm vegetarian (no eggs) and there were limited options. Not even mushrooms!

Just about everything seemed great about the hotel other than the fact that they had planned maintenance on the floor directly above our room and didn't tell us before putting us in the room. We woke to work being done with hammers and shovels before the jack hammering started before 9am, I was extremely disappointed that we weren't told this before being given the room and also being given the room which seemed to have the most amount of work being done in it the day we stayed.

This location is prime! Right by the station. We had a slight glitch in getting the room we had ordered so they bumped us up into a great room. This location is walking distance to the free trams, there is a metro (supermarket) across the street and lotsa food spots close by. Hotel is super clean, rooms r very decent sized for the location. I would stay here again!

We attended the Vibe Hotel's V-spa for a couples pamper package for our 20th anniversary. The experience was amazing. From the second we walked in the front door we felt welcomed. The staff created a sense of calm as they introduced us to the treatment room where we had a 30 minute foot spa. Then we were taken into a private room for a one hour body massage, then a 30 minute facial followed by a private 30 minute hydro stream. We left feeling very relaxed and rate the experience "ten out of ten, will do again".

A very pleasant and comfortable lobby with a decent and spacious bar. The bar was supposed to be closed past 10 pm last night (Saturday) but they reopened it due to the number of people still asking for drinks. Concierge was very helpful.

Very unimpressed with my check in tonight. 1st thing room key doesn't work, I'm on floor 10. I have to go down to get another key. Back up again and now I'm inside I see I haven't been given the twin room I'm supposed to have. Reception asked if I want a new room or split the beds. I say new room and then one of the front desk staff rocks up saying 'I've been asked to split the beds'. Apparently there are no twin rooms available in the whole hotel. Not happy but what else am I going to do?! Go out while this dude splits the beds and what I now have is a room that's only supposed to have 1 bed with what is technically 2 beds so friggin close together I can hold hands with the other person while I sleep. You literally can't even stand in the space between the beds.

I liked the style of the hotel but some room features like the bedheads, need a little refreshing. Staff were friendly. Check in check out easy and simple. Don't expect slippers robes or any other extras provided by a lot of hotels. Biggest issue we had was noise from the other room. People talking could be heard as if they were in your own room and this might be a deal breaker for many. Luckily for us we were only in our room once at the same time as our neighbours, but due to this, id be unlikely to stay again to be honest. Stayed June 2017

I recently stayed at this hotel for my school exam week (I live two hours away from Melbourne) and I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff was amazing, especially Mary, and the room was perfect. Thank you for making my exam week a little less stressful.

Upon arrival the staff were courteous and pleasant to deal with, they did try to sell us breakfast that we had already paid for when we booked. The room appeared clean but somewhat sparse in its furnishings. We booked a king room, was disappointed to see 2 single bed bases under a king size mattress. The mattress was harder than most park benches. No water glasses and odd wine glasses. A very small TV hidden in a cupboard in a position that only one person could view. A desk chair that may have been from the original hotel it was so worn as with the sofa bed with clearly visible tears in it.

Hotel tries to be 4 standard, but just misses. Not up to Vibe standard Pros: Location in Melbourne and size of room. Room clean. Cons: Every room should have a welcome pack advising about gym, cafe or restaurant how to use TV etc. We booked the executive king and were disappointed with a number of issues. The small TV (26 inch) was located in a cupboard and could not be seen from any of the seating in the room – we moved the couch so that we could use it. No instruction guide for the TV and no welcome pack. When we asked for help we were given instructions and the maintenance man stuck a piece of the TV back on with double sided tape (and continued to fall off during the night). A chicken parma with napoli sauce was ordered no naploi sauce just tomato sauce sachets. Breakfast toast arrived with no butter which the delivery lady knew this and she went back to the kitchen – while the toast went cold.

The location is amazing. Only there for a meeting but the place looks extremely comfortable.

3.5 stars. The hotel staff are fantastic very friendly and knowledgable. The hotel itself is ok with a small gym. The rooms are small and dated with old facilities and low pressure showers. Good stay but not 4 stars.

Super friendly staff, went way out of their way to be helpful and kind. Food is so-so, good quality but a bit expensive, and the same menu every day, which can get a bit dull after three days. Problems with their computer system? I was given a key-card to a room that still had people in it for another few hours! Staff was very apologetic and nice about it, but embarrassing for me and the other people. -1 star for the internet being a charge, as well as very slow and unreliable.

Fantastic customer service — front desk sent up colouring book and jigsaw for my son as it was a public holiday and we couldn't go to the book shop like he wanted to. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Only concern was inward facing room so no natural light, but as we didn't ask to be moved can't really complain.

The Vibe Savoy hotel in Melbourne was quite a good experience without blowing me away. The breakfast was great but I had to track it down, there was no instruction by the staff. The room was nice and clean but seemed to need a good renovation. I'd like to see a bit more in the way of explanation by the staff about all the guest needs to know. Overall I'd say great, but not amazing.

The room is nice, but the Wi-Fi limited to 100Mo and slow, witch is amazing when you know how expensive can be the night! Beware of the "Room service", Breakfast ordered for 6:20am as they offer you on the order form, but they cancelled it at 6:40am…

Dissapointing and our room was certainly not 4.5 stars as it was advertised! The floor was stained. Dirty, moldy bath/shower and cracked, moldy glass. Gross dust/goo covered vent 8 inches from your face in the shower. Bathroom was like being at your grandmother's. Double bed was literally two single beds stuck together. Staff lied upon booking about room availability and pricing. Tried to scam for more money and blamed it on an employee "in training. " The "in-training" young lady was actually the best person to deal with. (I hope she did not receive any trouble. ) The filth under the room a/c vent was nasty. Checkout seemed like it was a sad task and showed little care. Hopefully he was having a bad day. You find newer / nicer rooms for that price in small towns. Good points — check-in staff was polite and very helpful. Room was quiet.

I had my wedding reception there over 40 years ago and my husband and I stayed there for our 40th anniversary. It's still gorgeous, traditional and quaint, I loved the Savoy Plaza (as it was know then) and I still love it now as Vibe Savoy. The concierge and support staff are very welcoming.

You can barely hear any noise here! Really good location, simply take a short trip tram to city centre easily.

Was able to check in early which was nice, room was will presented with most of the basic items, microwave would have been nice. Hotel staff very friendly. Would probably come back here. It's location next to the station was also a good feature.

Loved staying in this place. Most convenient location right opposite the Southern Cross station. The room was well designed, well maintained. The staff were courteous and sincere. Overall, a great experience.

The location is amazing but my is with the staff, specially room service. For 3 days in a row they won't take away our dirty cups and replace them with new ones. We had to call for that every day. Today the replaced them with dirty cups, when we asked for another replacement we were told that they are busy and we will have to go down to the restaurant and get the cups ourselves. We have been asking for our room to be vacuumed for 2 days now and nothing so far. The toilets have started smelling now. I am sure they haven't cleaned them either. The place has pictures of a pool all over the place. On inquiring I was told that pool is actually at Adina Hotel and not here. Its free to use but this is false marketing and highly disappointing. Overall an average experience, stay away from this place if you can. I can almost stay anywhere and normally not have much issues with things. Rude and lazy staff however is not acceptable.

Just completed my second stay here, and I still enjoy the place. There is an excellent balance between the old and new to keep the hotel charming — yet modern. As a fan of Art Deco style, there is much about this place that I really enjoy exploring. The service, however, ranges from very good to average. Nothing particularly bad, after all I have spent roughly 2 weeks overall here. But sometimes it feels a bit lacking for a hospitality service. The breakfast setup is lovely, and the lunch and dinner meals — if you are too lazy to explore the wonderful food that Melbourne has to offer, is priced in line with the quality you get (quite good at that). Access to the train station and the tram network is a real plus for this place, and it means you can find your way around Melbourne from here with real ease.
