Very nice place to stay will be back.

Not impressed, we stayed for a wedding microwave didn't work, the pipes for the shower in the next room woke us up at 6:30am, the electric blanket you could here the power current zapping. The outside light was throwing blue Sparke that we thought was lightning. My feet where black if I didn't have shoes on, the hole place needs a huge upgrade, not to mention the feral cats hanging around that we seen the cleaners feeding. All that for $139 pn.

Very happy with the spacious rooms. Nice furniture. Microwave available. Washers and hand towels. Happy welcoming staff.

Disgusting place, with a disgusting culture! We definitely steer clear of this place! There is nothing good about it!

Stayed Saturday night. The room was lovely. My Granddaughter unfortunately wet the bed, which I reported when we checked out, expecting we may have an extra fee. Nothing was mentioned. I have now received an account, which they have taken from my credit card, without my knowledge. Not impressed. I am not an unreasonable person and understood that we may have to pay extra for this. Communication is everything.

It was in a great spot, great price and great facilities. Definitely good for a family of 5. Or even for somewhere for friends to stay.

Great place in Ballarat to stop overnight if you're on the road.

Suited our needs for a one night stay. Bathroom had no heater however so was very cold and one of the electric blankets didn't work. Otherwise rooms were clean, spacious and generally comfortable (just a tad cold at times).

Id stay there again. 5 star on cleanliness.

Great Place to stay in Beautiful Ballarat! Very clean, cozy, warm, inviting atmosphere. We stayed 3 nights when originally only planed for 1! ☺. Foxtel included in room and gad most channels included aswell as was albale to record my fav show to watch when I got back after visiting sovereign hill and all the other beautiful places to visit in and around the ballarat area. Public transport licated just out front enabled easy access into the city centre. Take away and cole just 4-5 mins walk away. All in all was a wonderful pleasant stay and will definitely return! Thanks guys!

Friendly staff. Rooms very clean. It is aging, however they seem to keep it as neat and maintained as possible. Good location, coles nearby and take away shops if needed. Foxtel on tvs. Air con worked well.

Clean good size rooms. Good location. Pool and rear road access for taller vehicles unable to come in from front road. Close to city. Had gr8 stay.

The staff are friendly and helpful.
Our grandchildren enjoyed a swim in the pool, and an impromptu bar b que.

We had to find a room in a hurry whilst travelling through from Melbourne to Adelaide when my partner was struck with a major migraine. The owners made the situation very quick and convenient for us and arriving to find a kind face and a nice room was exactly what we needed. Thank you.

Rooms were nice size, beds were comfortable to sleep in, Foxtel TV in two rooms! Everything was clean. Didn't use the pool as it was too cold but it looked like a very clean pool to use. There is also shopping and places to eat nearby.

Spacious and spotlessly clean room. Very comfy bed. Dining table and 2 armchairs & coffee table. Good sized bathroom. Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar etc, plus biscuits and chocolates. We arrived about 9.30pm with no booking and Jim was very welcoming and friendly. We didn't use the pool or other facilities but the ones we saw looked great. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and its friendly hospitality. In a quiet location.

I have been lucky to stay at the Begonia a few times now and would recommend them to any weary traveller. It's a home away from home. My last stay in April I became quite ill with the flu and was in Ballarat for my friend's wedding. Pepper the dog was my constant companion making sure I was ok and checking up on me each morning as she did the rounds with the hard working housekeeping team. The team made sure I had enough tissues and blankets to keep warm. It was appreciated. Having Pepper around made me feel very loved and was a great comfort. She's a beautiful dog. Thanks to Jim, Karen & the team for another wonderful stay.

Kids had a great time here, especially enjoyed the swimming pool. Beds were hugely comfortable and rooms were spacious. Staff were moderately friendly to indifferent. Very close to the truly amazing Sovereign Hill.

We spent the last 3 nights of our Honeymoon this week, we had the spa room and could not have been happier, with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, right from the booking on the net, with a welcoming reply email, the Thankyou note on the last night of our stay and a follow up thankyou email. The room was nicely decorated, clean, Great location with shops, and places to eat close by Would highly recommend the bowling club for a great a good priced meal. Helpful advise on where and how to get to places, good breakfast at reasonable price, and not forgetting the peppermint chocs, nice touch. Have already shared pics and recommended to all our friends and family on FB. We will definitely be back next time where in the area. Thankyou so much Michael + Deb.

We were just passing through and wanted a bed for the night before flying out the next day. The owners were very helpful and left bowls and spoons so we could give our 3 children breakfast the next day. Had a foldaway bed which when pulled out was already nicely made. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The boys enjoyed the poole. Was not over priced charging more for extra children.

Great service big rooms. Quiet.
