Quality food, good friendly and responsive service, only negative is better signage needed as to where to park as access to bistro is much better from the rear carpark. But a real improvement over the old place!

Meals are great staff are very good makes for a very pleasant experience.

Really like the pub. But once again the food was disappointing. Roast of the day was cold and meal took nearly a hour to come out. Told staff member and had no response. I’m sure I’ll be back but will stick to the schnitzel.

We had not booked but a table was found on a Saturday night. Instantly a waitress asking if we would like drinks. Menu brought and our meals appeared. Good food and excellent bain-marie. A really great experience especially as there was no blaring music as so many places have. Thank you, Morphett Arms!

Great meals. I’ve only been in front bar. Very friendly staff. Cheap meals. Great Friday’s with plenty of meat raffle to win. Have been a part of the Morpett for about 30years and gave always loved the place. Thought it was better about 10years ago but still can say it’s still a great hotel.

I just wanted to say thank you to the wonderful staff in the dining room. Having a child with coeliac disease can be difficult when finding suitable venues to eat at. The staff went out of their way in finding meals that he was able to eat and didn't make me feel like we were a burden. It is because of the wonderful staff that we will definitely come back. I must say, my son thought the meal was delicious and I've never seen him finish his food so quickly. Thank you again.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Place was packed. Got a table within minutes. Service and food exceptional.

Not a bad pub. The beer garden would be great in warmer weather (it was cold the night we were there), but the beer selection was average. They had a few special beers on but they were all stouts! A variety would have been nice. Also the interior was poorly designed. It was quite busy and to get from our table to the bathroom, we had to weave around a lot of obstacles (railings, tables, etc) to get the 2 metres to the toilet.

Loved the front bar here. Roomy,, with a range of ages and demographics represented. Friendly atmosphere and lots of people eating as well. They even have Cooper's Stout on tap ++

$22 steaks on the CHALKBOARD and we're told that they don't do that anymore. 3 of the 4 things I tried to order was no longer on the menu. Had to explain to the lazy girl behind the bar what tonic water was. No clean tables available and when I asked for ours to be cleaned it was like I asked her blood. 350g steak was tiny and medium instead of rare. 3 people closed the door that the lazy girl behind the bar just left open. I will recommend you and everyone I know to avoid this place.

The lounge bar had a nice atmosphere. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. The food was both good and bad. Burger was great but chips were cold. Fish was amazing but squid was overcooked and chewy. Chicken sandwich was tasty. Overall it was ok.

The new fast food outlet of hotel dining. Empathy for dining patrons 0/10. Moving furniture, mains coming out while still eating entree. I think they are a bit too big for their boots. All flash, and lost in real service.

Not a friendly receptionist. Extremely loud music — way into the night. Was promised a room with a bath — just shower. Roadworks before 6am. Clean enough room — TV worked. Heating was okay. Chinese Restaurant up the road was tasty and cheap. See other pictures for other visuals.

It’s been a long time anywhere I have gone where a place won’t allow a doggie bag. Wouldn’t even give alfoil… just offered paper napkins.
We had lamb shanks so wanted to take leftover meat and bone for a dog.
Even though they said it was food poisoning risk it was related to assuming bad customers will plate veg and salad bar and take it home. Which was said after explanation about food safety.
I’m not sure thinking badly of your customers will bring them back. Not me anyway.

Over many years, I have enjoyed many good social functions at The Morphett Arms. It has had its ups and downs, but right now it is going well especially under the leadership of young Justin (general manager) and John (gaming manager) and long time staff and good friends like Sue and Paul just to name a few. The newly styled hotel has a great array of atmosphere, comfort and well appointed food. They are always trying to improve all aspects of the venue. I have been going there since it opened in 1964 (even though I was only 2 then) and have many great memories. There are still many areas that need attention but, hats off, they are always improving. Congratulations Justin for turning The Morphett Arms into a family friendly venue once again.

Good quality (and quantity) food with very good service. Wide range of fresh options in the salad bar. Most likely I'll be back.

9 of us arrived late on a Saturday night after a basketball match. They easily accommodated us in the dining room and even rearranged tables for us. Salad/veg bar was small portions but regularly refreshed so was very nice hot and not overcooked food. Meal was decent size and very nice. Good choice on menu. Easy parking and friendly staff.

Good place for lunch but at dinner time can be really busy. Its mostly for senior citizens only. The salad bar isn't so flash but they never rotate the choices. There is not many vegetarian options but we will try another Hotel with better vegetarian menu. Please keep up to date with menu & have a change now & then. There is not much choice for the younger children except for fried food. The dessert menu is getting too expensive so I'd rather have dessert at home.

Food was ok but not great. Nice beer garden! Had to grab our own meals — no table service.

Nice atmosphere, the upgrade looks great. Dining room food tastes nice, looks nice but is expensive and basic. I ordered a Mediterranean salad and received a small bowl of baby spinach leaves, undercooked (crunchy grains of) couscous, a small splattering of feta and a reduction dressing. All for the expensive price of $24. Extremely disappointed.

Menu has plenty of options to choose from. Good atmosphere. Sport s Bar away from main dining area. Great choice of brews on tap from less mainstream brewers.

Loving what you have done with the place. The staff are great, music/artists varied and entertaining.
As new local residents we enjoy the convenience of being able to just walk around.
Only one “But”. One of us is vegetarian and finds the choices on the menu a bit limited. Is this likely to change?

First time in new dining room. Good service Good food very enjoyable.

First time since renovations. Very nice ambience. Friendly staff. Good salad bar, meals ok, perhaps not outstanding presentation. Enjoyed our night out at the Morphy.

I just wanted to acknowledge what a fantastic job that our waitress, Aimee did on both occasions that our family has been to the Morphett Arms to celebrate our grandsons' birthdays recently. Both times Aimee has gone above and beyond to cater to everyone's needs. She's such a friendly and welcoming person and her very accomodating attitude was the reason that we returned tonight, and have recommended the hotel to other friends with children. It's so refreshing to meet such a genuinely happy person who clearly loves her job! Sent from my iPhone.

The newly renovated Front Bar at the Morphett Arms Hotel deserves a 5 star rating. Great food, well priced and is now brought to your table. Friendly and efficient staff. Sitting arrangements are good and suit all age groups. Had a great day there for the Melbourne Cup. Curious about there being no inside link from the Front Bar to the rest of the Hotel.

Service was great. Used the drive through bottle service snd stopped and browsed. Staff were very helpful.

Recently renovated. Looks awesome. Same menu in the front bar which is good. For something fancy there is the restaurant with seating inside or out.

Overall it is a pretty good pub. There is a nice outside beer garden and a friendly crowd. Definitely a good place to meet up with a group of friends. Drinks were a bit expensive imo but I would definitely recommend the venue to anyone.

Outstanding food, drink and service in a highly functional and equally attractive setting. Recent and extensive renovations have breathed new life into the Morphett Arms Hotel, located a short walk from the Morphettville Racecourse. Aside from a fully stocked bar and plenty of rooms, the hotel also plays host to a waited restaraunt, beer garden, bistro and games room. Keep in mind any bistro meals incur a minimum spend to cover access to the salad bar, albeit well worth it.

Great Staff. The place has a great history. Wonderful location.

1st time at this venue in 40 years & WOW, what an amazing difference. Hotel is great Guys & that's not just the appearance. I was there with 5 mates & enjoyed a 'top' meal & was treated with excellent service from all. Enjoyed our beers & the friendly, expert service behind the bar. Had a chat with the Chef & complimented him on his fare… Chicken Parmy was 'top shelf' & salad sides also spot on. Other Mate had burger — also just 'right'. A highly favourable experience all round & will definitely be back & not only that, will certainly be recommending the Morphett Arms to others seeking a great pub for a meal & top service… well done to all involved & to what surely must be informed & enlightened Management here that set the standards, tone & direction you are taking… Rob (Old Noarlunga)

Half of the hotel is currently a work site. Looks like it will be good when done, but the atmosphere isn't great right now. The staff are friendly and provide good service.

The pub has been artfully modernised so surroundings are pleasant. Staff are friendly and attentive. Meals are a little pricier than normal and like many pubs a little too salty. Otherwise, meal was good with excellent vegi and salad choices.

The Bar style meals available are very tasty and enjoying companionship around one of the tables with a group of friends, is very easy. Smaller tables are available for a quiet get together. Very helpful Staff.

Newly renovated. Sports bar is still in the process of renovating. Enjoyed the updated and modern look. They also seemed to have jumped on he craft beer bandwagon and have a good range to choose from.

New renovations make the pub look really nice and a decent variety on the menu. What our table had was all pretty tasty too.

Super friendly staff, very affordable but the rooms were very basic and the decor very dated.

I was there for the WrestleMania party. Great service, excellent food, fun and involved games and competitions throughout the day. The staff were friendly and engaging and willing to help, especially with my kids. They made it a great day out.

Recently renovated still little bits and pieces to do. Food all tasted good maybe a little pricey for a typical pub meal for students.

It's a pub meal. With a nice salad bar. Prices are great and in line with how it should be.

Visited during the renovations. Food was good and pricing reasonable. Did seem a tad slow but other than that no complaints.

Came in for a midday lunch with long lost family member, looking for a standard fare of ordinary, simple pub food. Ordered a dozen Oysters Kilpatrick, Rump Steak and Whiting & Prawns. Incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of the food. Apparently the actual steak on the Rump Steak order was quite ok, but the dianne sauce was dreadful (had a taste myself, was like salad dressing! ). The Oysters were small and not particularly flavourful and the bacon charred (not a good flavour! ). Whiting was worse (and smaller) than any I've ever had at a beach side fish & chip shop and 3 Prawns on the entire plate pretty much made it a $30 plate of chips. Staff were really friendly, though.

Great atmosphere for their Wrestlemania party and great choice of special menu items for the early morning start. Would have been nice if any time they needed to make an announcement that they turned the volume down on the PPV.

Staff friendly, but the food wasn't very good. Steak was tough and chewy, even though was medium rare. The sauce on the schnitzel was just cheese and avocado, very dry.

Location was fine, good parking, rooms where a bit old, service was good and food was also good.

DO NOT eat at the Morpheme Arms Hotel. The food is disgraceful and tasteless, the atmosphere is dingy, cold and noisy with the drunks and gambling machines. Although, there was no noise coming from the restaurant area as there were no other patrons besides two other full small tables (obviously other people knew of how awful a place it is). What was even worse was the appalling service, to which I won't tell you the story about and waste any more of my time and your time upon reading about their laziness, ignorance and arrogance.

Recently awarded the title of being the best run Thirsty Camel Bottle Shop retail outlet in SA & NT. With this industry recognition the Bottle'O manager surely deserves to be rewarded for his outstanding performance by being on receiving end of a nice little Pay Rise. Maybe the hotel's ownership could show their appreciation by also offering his brother a permanent 'Sunday Prices' beverage card.

The rooms upstairs are in desperate need of a refurb. Also shampoo and conditioner weren't supplied and there was no jug of water in the bar fridge. However the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the bar area with live music was great. They also have a courtesy bus which is a great service.
