Just got caught out by the floods, was desperate to find a place for pets. The Reef Garden motel, south side of Proserpine was more then affordable. The owners, Julie and John where more then accomadating. Very relaxed atmosphere, rooms where clean. Highly reccomend staying here especially if you have pets.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. Was booked in for 3 days and lasted 6hrs.

Amazing place and people, extremely clean and homely.

Great friendly host. Great price and good location for easy access from the hwy. Looking forward to seeing the renovations after Cyclone Debbie.

Great stay. Arrived late due to flight cancellation John the owner drove us to takeaway and bottle shop. Nothing was a problem great guy.

John saved our trip to the great barrier. The rooms are clean, clean linens and towels. The AC worked great, so did the water pressure. We had cable so my husband could watch the soccer. The bed was correct. Airlie Beach was completely full but only at 15 min of Proserpine, so it's a good location if you have a car. A great bakery is just around the corner.

Lovely couple running place. Still struggling from cyclone last year with insurance comp ect. Comfy bed info on where to eat ect. Foxtel.

The place unfortunately is still trying to recover from the Cyclone. So John did warn me there was no carpet on the floor under the bed. But I wasn’t expecting the pool to be out of order! But it was, though no mention of that anywhere. Not even on their own website (photos & sign still show pool). When being escorted to my room I asked for the Wifi password. To which it was given to me, and seemed really simple. John couldn’t have taken the spare towels from my room any quicker, and stress the important rules of the air con. I was spoken to like a child! Not a very warm welcome. After several failed attempts to log into the Wi-Fi and being told the password was incorrect. I asked John for some help. “I just gave that family the password, they aren’t having any trouble. "Here it is” So he wrote it down. All in capital letters. Again I tried every combination. John wasn’t the most helpful. Finally he showed me how his wife had written it down. And of course it’s case sensitive and he neglected to mention this! “Oh case sensitive, I don’t even know how to send a text message. Let alone put a password in for the internet. My wife does all of that! ”. I walked past the other family and helped them connect as they hadn’t been to John yet to complain. Bed: was a small double that rolled every time you sat on it. Or moved while sleeping. Pillows & linen were comfy. Bed cover not changed after each guest though. Shower: Average. Luke warm, and no pressure. Only soap supplied.

The room cleanliness is less than average. The owners /cleaners are unfriendly and loudly bicker early in morning. Needs coverings over the bathroom windows for privacy. Choose the Whitsunday Palms instead.

Wow what a horrible place to stay! julie has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever, shes incredibly rude I dont think she has a happy bone in her body. This place is advertised as pet friendly but apon arriving so she so rudely states that they arent allowed inside. So how is this pet friendly exactly? theres no carpets in the rooms from cyclone damage but you still have to pay full price, which wouldnt be an issue if julie actually had some manners. Ill never stay here again and ill be spreading the word that others should drive somewhere else also. Its not hard to smile and be nice to people.

Very comfortable bed, spotless room and very friendly owners John and Julie.

Stayed Just After the cyclone hit when everywhere else was trying to charge 3 times there normal price these guys kept there price standard showing there not Just it it for the money. Friendly staff, rooms were a good size close to whats left of the town and id stay here again Just because of the hospitality. Cheers guys great work!.
