Great place for a relaxing holiday.

Absolutely love this place… rooms are nicely set out with everything you need incredibly well positioned to walk a couple of minutes in either direction will find you on the main street with abundance of bars and shops or at the Marina, with beautiful bars and views. Finally just two minutes walk also to four mile beach and the esplanade! Such friendly staff too at The Hibiscus, Jimmy was always helpful and very friendly. We will definitely be back! Thankyou Sam and Dom.

Booked and paid for a spa room. On arrival they gave us our room key and resort information.
Went to the room and found it was just a studio room instead of the spa room booked.
Returned to reception and they admitted they had made a mistake and given us the wrong room.
Their solution was to either suck it up and they would refund the $221 over charged, or
refund the entire amount and see if you can find somewhere else to stay.
Very ordinary customer service considering they made the mistake and were willing to keep the additional
money if we didn't notice that they were ripping us off.
Basically they don't give a dam once they have your money.

Beautiful grounds, lovely clean rooms, yummy breakfast and a really chilled relaxing feel.

We just had 2.5 weeks there was the best family holiday ever. Laura at front desk was sensational very helpful from the first phone call. She made our stay even more memorable with her local knowledge on trips.
Will definitely stay again look forward to our next holiday in Port Douglas.

Fabulous place in a great location to everything Port Douglas has to offer.

Clean 2 bedroom apartment with 2 balconies, A/C, kitchenette, fridge/freezer & lounge area with tv. Heated swimming pool & hot tub in landscaped terrace of lush green plants & palm trees with citronella candles burning at intervals. 5min walk to shops & restaurants.

Not very comfortable beds and room not very quiet. There is virtually no soundproofing and traffic in Port Douglas is also present at night although little. Absolutely the sore part is breakfast : indicated as continental (but what continent? ) actually has virtually nothing: no jams, no salami, ham or generally salty. No typical scrambled eggs, the present fruit is kept in the freezer and doesn't know anything… (at 7am the frozen fruit is really bad…

There is a chance to make yourself a tea and toast the pan carré — basically we went for 4 days breakfast bringing us ham cheese and biscuits bought at the supermarket to let us out a toast and a semidecent breakfast.

It's absolutely not worth the money they're asking for.

Great location and the pools are excellent, but our room is a bit dated and bathroom needs renovating. Shower is over the bath and there is no safety rail to help you get in or out.

Loved the hotel and vibe! Close to town, beach and marina. Walking distance to great bars and restaurants and Beautiful heated pool and spa. 10/10 recommend.

Great location — short walk to the town centre. Lovely staff — everything was dealt with with promptly and courteously. Clean. Not the right place if you’re looking for a quiet “resort” stay. The combination of tiled floors, L-shaped building, and louvre windows means you can hear conversations, and babies cry, especially if you have a room above you. It also meant that people in the courtyard and a handful of stairwells could look into our room — even with the sheer curtains drawn. The front desk offered to relocate us, but we weren’t confident it would resolve the issues above. Overall, the lack of sound and visual privacy, limited reception hours, and needing to buy additional toilet paper and soap after a couple days, didn’t meet our expectations, and we ended up departing early.

Wow, wow, wow. Don’t bother going anywhere but here. Sooo relaxing, the massage rooms are amazing. We go here every time we visit Port Douglas!

It was a nice stay but it was a little frustrating climbing the stairs with our luggage. We also had an awful view from our room so we left the curtains shut. The kitchenette was very small. The location is good in Port Douglas and it's just a short walk from the Mariner where there are plenty of food options. We had complimentary breakfast which is normally around $18 which is a bit steep for a continental breakfast no bacon and eggs or anything. You also have to pay extra for more toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner and coffee and tea etc. You get a starter pack that is all. It's a bit rough if you are staying for a week or more. The rooms are also not serviced. The room itself was quite nice and the spa bath was great. The bed was on wheels so it rolled around on the tiled floors. It needed a mat underneath it to stop it from rolling. In saying all this it wasn't expensive to stay there and we had a lovely time in Port Douglas.

Absolutely by far the noisiest place I have ever stayed. Location is spot on. Nice place to look at. Dont think there is any insulation in walls. No glass on windows. Only shutters. Workers banging around at 6:30am onwards. Fire alarms 3 out of 5 days possibly due to the fact there are NO exhaust fans above hot plates or in shower. Mould growing on the free breakfast muffins. This a review from a very tired guest after 5 nights! ROOM 16.

The place is well maintained and clean. It is located one block from a major street with restaurants and shops. Super convenient. The office is very responsive to communications and needs. There are two laundry rooms in the facility.

Nice environment, 2 swimming pools, facility to BBQ, Laundry facilities easy access to bars and restaurants.

Ok Family friendly accommodation, each unit is owned by a different owner so when our Air-conditioning broke they had to quote, wait, approve and then a repairer orders parts. Very specific issue, but highlights that the reception and team onsite have limited ability to fix issues unlike a regular hotel/resort.

The pool is nice. Five minutes walk away from Port Douglas center. Good enough. However, the resort feels a bit closed in. It feels like the developers were trying to squeeze in more units in the small resort. Our rental unit is a ground floor unit which is dark during the day time. We have to turn on the lights.

Beautiful resort with two pools and a spa in Balinese style. We were there a couple of days in December. Good beds, spacious rooms and bathroom. Friendly staff, happy to help and up for a chat. The resort is on walking distance from the harbour for tours to the great barrier reef and near the town centre. Great to drive from there to the Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. Only thing missing would have been some eggs with breakfast.

Lovely quiet and comfortable spa resort. Two pools and lush garden surrounds. Recommended to destress.

I was there many years ago but I was in the heart! Centrally located, well organized with exclusive Wellness center, fantastic swimming pool and possibility of BBQ. Well furnished rooms and perfect welcome.

My daughters 17 and 20 and myself stayed for a week at the Hibiscus we had a wonderful time and the staff were warm and friendly. The grounds, gardens and pools gave a tropical oasis feel. Breakfast at the pool every morning was delicious. Walking distance to everything made it easy to get around. The. Bbq's next to the pools are a great way to cook a steak sit and relax with a wine poolside followed by an evening swim was sooooo relaxing. The rooms were great with added bonus of a kitchen the only thing I can fault is the couches in our unit were uncomfortable and very stained need updating. I would stay here again. Thankyou.

Beautiful peaceful environment. Loved the pool, and easy walking proximity to beach, restaurants and retail. Spa treatments relaxing and enjoyable.

Our 4 nights at the Hibiscus Resort and Spa were fantastic! We were a short walking distance away from everything — the marina, the beach, the shops and restaurants / cafes (including Coles to be able to stock up on food to prepare ourselves), and even car hire, yet we felt like we were in our own tropical sanctuary. It was lovely and quiet, and the kids especially loved both pools! The staff were all extremely helpful, organising airport transfers and other tours for us, and gave us some fantastic tips on things to visit / try. We'd definitely stay there again!

I would like to provide some honest feedback regarding our stay in July 2017. We stayed at Hibiscus about 4 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. However we didn't enjoy this stay as much as we did last time. The room we stayed in was too small with not enough bench space in the kitchen to prepare meals and there was a musty wet like odour in the room that took us 4 days to get rid of. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. The variety of options that were present 4 years ago were not available this time. There weren't enough options for breakfast and on some days certain food items were not being replenished, I'd suggest the staff in the kitchen check food stocks more frequently. For what was available for breakfast didn’t match the cost of it. Overall the stay was okay, however we will be looking for somewhere else to stay next time we come to Port Douglas.

The perfect place to stay in Port Douglas, the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Hibiscus has two pools both with that Bali feel and are heated to the perfect temperature. Hibiscus is one block away from the main shopping, cafe and restaurants meaning it is quiet. but has easy access to everything you need to enjoy yourself. High praises go to Jenny at reception who has gone out of her way to make us feel welcome. We will be back as soon as possible.

We stayed in a privately owned one, it was lovely great location too.

Great room, easy access to the pool, easy walk to the marina and most restaurants in town. Internet speed and data caps could have been better, but I think that's just because of how remote Port Douglas is.

Great location central to the beach, marina, and shops/restaurants. Rooms are a decent size with ceiling fans and aircon, although ceiling fans needed a clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities are good and the pools were well maintained. Apparently they just changed management in late 2015 so they didn't have some things in place like a liquor license, but they were expecting it soon.

Absolutely loved our stay here recently. Our studio apartment was great, staff were friendly & helpful. The daily breakfast was sufficient and the inclusions in our deal were amazing. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Please change a few lightbulbs around the place though :-) Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

From the booking process to the arrival to the cleanliness of the rooms, I can't fault Hibiscus Resort. It's centrally located with just a very short walk to the main street, marina and the beach. Thanks team for a great stay.

On line booking is a scam! You cant trust the prices and packages advertised. Make a booking give them a creditcard, and sit back and wait for amn email stating that the prices are wrong and if you want to confirm the booking you have to pay them double the advertised price. apparantly a booking confirmation is not worth anything.
