Really needs an update, facilities were very dated, one of the provided pillows in my room didn't even have a pillow case. We also had trouble at check in, they kept claiming the security deposit didn't go through, despite the fact that the charge showed on our banking app, they made us pay it 3 times before giving us our key. The staff are nice but not very good with English, I'm all for saving a buck but there are better places out there!

Me and my partner stayed here for 6 nights :) Good value for the money we paid, however we were not happy with the room that we originally got mainly due to the smell, especially in the main room we didn't even want to sleep in it. We went to the reception to talk about this and the manager was really nice and understanding. He gave us an upgrade to another room which was so much better! Customer service was excellent and the apartment had everything we needed. The biggest downfall would be that the motel is in urgent need of redecoration or renovation, as it is so outdated and old : (Overall, we really enjoyed the riverside views, the pool and the location was also perfect being close to the beach, tram station, shopping and restaurants!

Stayed for one week in riverside apartment, fantastic views we got… just WOW! Apartment was clean, looked like it was renovated not too long ago. Pool and garden area was well kept. Kids loved it. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was huge, big balcony, comfy beds, Wi-Fi was good. The kitchen only had basic equipment and utensils, but besides this it was hard to fault. There was also a washing machine and dryer in the apartment which was handy. The highlight of the place was the beautiful riverside pool and spa which we spent a lot of time at. We didnt use the tennis court as we didnt have racquets but later realised we could hire them from reception. The games room and gym were ok, nothing flash. We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. On the second night there, we lost the connection to the foxtel TV channels because the kids were playing around with the remote. Ended up calling them, and a friendly young man promptly came and fixed the problem. Reception also allowed us to leave our luggage in the reception office when we arrived too early to check in time, we used the time to walk along the surfers paradise beach nearby, which was stunning!

Room 5 level 1 was disgusting damp mould under the sink. The smell was shocking. Outdoor area on the balcony was old rusty seats and chairs. Bathroom was disgusting. Was moved to another room and was alot better condition. Not alot to do for the children tennis courts you had to pay $10 to access. Games room 3 items not child friendly. Entrance to the pool was closed off and no access for wheelchairs.

The place was much better than I expected, big apartment, clean, and good location near the beach. Pool was amazing next to the river! A bit of an inconvenience to get to it though as new tiling works were being done next to the pool area when we stayed, but looked like they were finishing up when we checked out.

Great location and staff. The room we stayed in was very nice with an excellent view. Definitely will stay here again next time we’re on the gc.

It's important to be honest and here it is: A low cost is no excuse to skip on hygiene. Upon checking out the lady at reception wanted me to pay cleaning for getting WATER BASED lubricant marks on the bed duvet cover. I actually awkwardly had to explain my bedroom activities and defend that it's an expectation that ALL bed sheets including the duvet are washed between guests. Guess what… they are not she explained and that they now didn't have a clean one for the next guests. I explained it's their responsibility to have clean sheets between guests and I shouldn't have to explain that I had sex in bed. For all we know a years worth or more of people had slept on that cover without washing. Also the dishwasher was inoperable, the decor nothing like the photos, no air con, broken reception via intercom out of hours. Noise from leaving the balcony door open (to not suffer heat exhaustion) was like sleeping on the Gran Prix. Don't skimp on price, and get something of quality, hygiene and with customer service that doesn't treat you as a criminal for getting lubricant marks on a dirty unwashed bed cover.

The apartment we got was recently renovated, and very comfortable to stay in for our family of 4. Loved the big balcony which goes around the building giving us great views of ocean, city, and river. Great value for what we got, would stay again next time we're in town!

Disgusting rooms. Old and dirty. Rotton floors. Dirty walls. Shower leaks everywhere. Carpet is old and dirty.

I booked these apartments for my husband's father's day weekend. When my husband and I went to book in at 4pm saturday. The building was shut. Finally got owner to let me in. When we got to our apartment we where faced with a dirty, miss keeped apartment. The draws in the kitchen where broken. The couches where broken & sitting in the floor. We went for a shower in the ensuite and the shower head had been glued in place, so you couldn't move it. The water went to the back of the shower no where near me. If I was 6foot I might of been right. The second bathroom had no shower screen and no plugs for the bath. The second bedroom had no lights working. There was no extra pillows or blankets. There was no blankets on the bed only a light bed cover. Couldn't open the window in the second bedroom either. We went down to the games room and it smelt like urine. I booked for 2 nights but when I rang to see if I could change they weren't interested. I lost the first nights payment because she wouldn't even change the dates for me. As they can't understand English this made it even harder. I wouldn't recommend this motel to everyone. I'm not normally a complainer but this was a joke. The owners cut corners in these rooms. Even the paint job was rough…

There was good and bad to this place. Good — Very spacious rooms, great view, close to the beach and shops. Decent facilities like a pool and gym (didn't try the sauna etc) Bad — Rooms were not kept very well, loose bed frames and broken / worn chairs. No plug for the kitchen sink, not enough toilet paper and only 1 lot of dish washing liquid given (for 3 day stay). Foxtel didn't work properly, half the lights in the place didn't work and we didn't have hot water for one of the nights and there was issues with parking. The people who manage it have English as their second language and it was very very difficult to understand them. All in all it wasn't a bad place to stay but all the bad items listed above gave the place a feeling that owners or managers were cutting corners to save money. So only 2 stars.

Spent a getaway weekend with my boyfriend, pretty much just relaxed at the spa and having uber eats on the balcony with nice ocean view. surfers beach is only 5 minutes walk away came with free secure parking which is great.

Price was right, very spacious, could use some updating. Close to amenities.

Stayed for 4 nights in a 2bed apartment for our family holiday, excellent accommodation for the price we paid, rooms were clean and spacious, had beautiful views of the river, convenient location – short walk to the beach, main tourist area, public transport, etc. Staff were lovely and accommodating when we asked if we could check in 1 hour earlier. Having a kitchen and laundry in the apartment were very useful, saving us $$ from eating out all the time. One issue we noticed was that the outdoor balcony table was a bit out-dated but no big deal.

What a dump So badly needs a refit. Doors falling of. Mouldy ln spots. Kitchen. Stove top cracked laminate chipped in a lot of places 3 small cups. Lounge old and lumpy furniture chipped. Couches lumpy. One pillow for every bed no spares. No spare toilet paper the pits. Remember when booking they are old photos. K.

Great views! Customer service was good. Enjoyed our stay.

These are just a couple of the photos we took inside Apartment 77. Absolutely disgusting. This place is not only run down, but it is dirty. There was toothpaste on the bathroom wall, dust everywhere, weeds growing out of the balcony. Do not stay here!

This hotel was disgusting. The sour receptionist was the first impression and should have been a heads up as to what was to come. I have never stayed in such a filthy place ever and we do a lot of travel. The shower was so disgusting and slimey that I had to leave my jandels on while in there. The ceiling fan and free standing fan had an inch of dirt and grime on them and the balcony looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The planter boxes outside were used as ashtrays and rubbish bins. The room we had booked was not available after going away and coming back 2hours later so they put us in a room that had just had the carpets cleaned 5 minutes before we got there so the floor was still damp. I would put no stars on this but had to hit one to be able to leave a review. Do not stay here it is disgusting.

The worst hotel I have been, dirty, no net, not cleaning, no star, everything is trouble.

My personal experience during April 2014: I would not ever live in this apartment for the second time in the future. The dirty blankets, and a number of broken things around the room and the toilets are disgusting, If you dare to choose this hotel, take photographs of all the defects and faults around the rooms no matter how minor they are during check — in and prepare something like an "entry condition report" as an evidence so that on exit you are not charged (like they did to me) for the defects done by the previous occupants.

It was the worst place to stay. Believe me. The showers were mouldy and old, Utensils in kitchen were rusty and there was only one room so I had to sleep in the living room. I looked in the cupboard near the entry door and it was DISGUSTING. There were cobwebs and it was horribly dirty. Some of the furniture had tears in it. When I got to the front door there was a dent so I knew something was wrong. Dont go to this hotel. Its a waste of money.

Absolutely loved my stay at Silvertons apartment in GC. Booked and paid in advance and was later concerned as I had read alot of negative reviews about the place. After experiencing it for myself, I am so happy I booked this place. Amazing river view on the top floor, 2 bdrm (comfortable beds), 2 bthrm apartment with all essentials. (Was so stoked I had my own washing machine and dryer in room, also rooms were warm had heating and foxtel. Swimming pool, spa and games room are not fancy but keeped us all entertained. Amazing. I stayed here for 4 nights did not need to hassel the staff as I had everything I needed in my apartment. :).

The rooms had a mouldy smell and the shower was flooding and had taken 30 mins to subside. We reported that the diswasher door handle was broken and reception did not care too much and I was told "well whats wrong with doing them by hand". Hello you advertised that everything is in top working order. There is one possitive thing I can say is checking out of an out dated third world accommodation.

I went to Surfers Paradise for 2 Weeks for a well deserved Holiday with my family of four and we stayed at the Silverton Apartments Resort, We found that we had the best views and the best Customer Service experience then staying anywhere else on my previous holidays. My room was very clean and found the prices quite reasonable for a Resort, I have reccomended the Silverton to all my overseas friends and my Family as I am from NewZealand and I have also got time to work on getting a tan while relaxing in the Resorts Pool and Spa and whilst playing tennis on their courts, I got to also workout as they have a gym onsite and my Kids played Table tennis and Video games and my wife went shopping "as woman do" and did not have to travel far as Resort is a stones throw away. My Family loved our stay there and will book again in advance to avoid the mad rush thankyou Silverton for making us welcome and Relaxed.
