Honestly the worst experience of my life! I was staying at the Sheraton Gold Coast on a work function. From the moment I entered through the front doors, it was nothing but trouble. First, they charge me incorrectly for my accommodation, staff tried to refund me then & there and was unable to (10 days later & still have not been compensated). Second, there was no electricity in the bathroom a service man came to inspect — a technician would come the next day to fix which did not suit me as I had a work function to attend. I then had to ring reception & explain that the outcome was not good enough & another serviceman put an extension cord right through my room into the bathroom, so I had power — due to this I was late to a work dinner. On arrival to my room there was a letter from the manager expressing he deepest apologies & offered me an upgrade the next day. I excepted, reception call the following day & asked that I have all my stuff ready to be moved to the upgraded room, a staff member would be down to transfer my luggage & to belong to the new room as I would be in a conformance all day. My partner was unable to stay in the room as they needed it cleaned for the new guest so he had to be away from the room for 3 hours until the new room was ready. At 5 pm after I had finished I went into the new room to realize that my wedding dress was not in the upgraded room (this is a family air loom handed down from generations, I had my aunty's hand deliver it as we did not want anything to happen to via post). Still, to this day, there is no answer to where my wedding dress is & I am getting married this Sunday. I walk away from this "Resort" $750 out of pocket, No wedding dress, the dealing with unprofessional staff member & no answer to what can be done to have these problems resolved.
